Thanks for the video. As a tile setter who usually works small, it's nice to see there's a method you can use that doesn't require thousands of dollars in tools!

Thanks for this. I had to cut a single tile lengthwise only 2" from the edge to make a vanity top. I took it to a marble countertop fabricator and paid him $10 to throw it on his huge wet saw and cut it for me. Best $10 I spent in a long time.

Good vid like watching them. Extremely important to zoom in with a close up shot slowly (not a far away quick moving glance) to show the mass chipping a dry table saw and hand held grinder does to porcelain, natural stone and ceramic (sanding stones won’t fix that totally). Also a close up shot with a straight edge needs to happen if you’re giving an honest review. When cutting with dry saw or handheld grinder, It’s common to have the tile veer off and split towards the end of the cut. This happens especially with the high honed glass sheen, extremely fragile porcelain - and happens even with the smaller 12x12 or 12x24 - would be compounded with the 24x48 just from a single tap vibration especially on rectified edges. I’ve been installing tile for 40yrs for reference. Keep up the great content.

You can also buy a diamond blade for your circular saw if you do a DIY job.
You can get a helper who can spray water from a garden plant pumpable sprayer in order not to damage your blade fast and not to breathe all the dust.
A guide is easily made with 2 planks of laminate flooring or anything straight.
To not get a single chip - place reasonable strong tape over the cutline. First cut only the face side of the tile only 1/4th then proceed with a cut through. I use painter's tape the regular beige one.
If you do this professionally yeah a machine is a huge time saver.

    3. A dry grinder with a sponge???

Are you cutting straight lines or complex cuts? When using a grinder you'll wanna trace the lines by cutting the surface of the tile and then cutting all the way through each end before cutting the whole piece

Rectangular shaped tile is not the problem, square 4x4's and up is the real headache.

Another channel's video (How to cut LARGE tiles with out breaking them.) put a foam board under the tile, taped the tile cut area before marking and angle grinding, using the grinder to first score before cutting right through.

I used my small Porter-Cable tabletop wet saw to cut a huge tile, put it on the floor and used a dolly and some 2x4’s (for height) as my rolling table! Worked like a charm!! I still can’t cut a great straight line with a grinder, not steady enough 😩

I clamp a piece of 1 inch angle steel to the tile. The offcut protrudes this ensures that you cannot cut into the piece you need I also have water from a hose on it. The best place to do this is on the lawn. I don't know how he cut that tile so quick and straight it's hard enough to cut a normal tile let alone porcelain and without water. He obviously has a better grinder.

Use a sacrificial straight edge and run your grinder along it to score your cut, then cut just off your score line and tidy it up after

Make a short video about how to polish the edges after cutting?

The RTC 52” was not so clean at the end…probably go with the grinder. Thanks
