    ADAM Audio was founded in March 1999 in Berlin. Since then the company has been developing, manufacturing and distributing loudspeakers in the field of Professional Audio.
    The development of the X-ART (eXtended Accelerating Ribbon Technology) tweeter based on the 1960’s invention of the Air Motion Transformer by Oskar Heil was largely responsible for the company’s founding. Producing sound not with a piston-like diaphragm as is done in most of the loudspeakers that are on the market, but using a pleated diaphragm that is capable of moving the air 4 times faster than the folds themselves are moving was the appealing idea behind it all. The achieved results were intriguing and gave ample reason for moving forward.

    Adam - Since you realize folks want to use Adams for home use, why not join the club and offer some 21st century connections and use technology like 'USB' inputs, remote control, and RCA subwoofer outputs. I don't know if you have ran the numbers, but there are lots more folks wanting to connect their TV's and PC' s to a great set of monitors than small studios in the world. I ended up with Klipsch RP-41M's over the A4V's because of these features. Even though the Adams would have been lots better sounding. Heck, adding these features plus HDMI connections would not increase the price too much. Infact, HDMI and USB might eliminate the need for the voicing and other controls reducing the price. Please, all we have to choose from to get these features is Klipsch or cheap looking made in China mini monitors. Thanks

    I`m using Adam`s A77X in my leaving room with my main DAC>Preamp system. It is my 3rd pair of studio monitors in home audio, probably I will never go back to standard setup. Now i`m thinking of switching to Adam`s A7V to use with room correction software.
    In my opinions, manufacturers like Adam, Focal (for pro market) could easily join consumer market with their products: looks of Adam`s or Focal`s (and others) speakers is just amazing so it would fit every living space, also considering WAF, and no nonsens approach as main advantage. Only thing they would need is any kind of grills as an option for obvious protection from kinds and other environmental issues.

    I have added a pair of T8V's to my music system which is based on a CD Transport feeding a separate DAC via optical cable and XLR to a pre amp and again XLR to my T8V speakers. I listen in the mid field and the sound is excellent. I am impressed by the solid build quality of the speakers and the value for money they offer.

    Haha, running Adams for years outside their purpose. At my Home Studio, i sold my Genelec 8040 because in the high-mids they were so harsh. I bought the A7X in the Glossy Limited Edition and fell in Love. So in my Hifi/HomeCinema Setup i run Backes & Müller Speakers for front and rear. I needed some really good speakers for Center, Height and an Atmos Update. With such high end speakers, you cannot go with marketing stuff like "Teufel" or "Bose". I found nothing that can compeed and fits to the main speakers. Now i run a lot of A3Xs. The X-Art Tweeter did it :-) P.s.: Miss the ETON Speakers in the new A-Series :-(

    I’ve almost given up on my Sonos Arc/300 theatre setup due to technical issues and concerns about smart speaker longevity; so considering returning them an and getting a good Denon Atmos receiver and some Kef speakers. I already have 2 Adam A7X that I rarely use for music production these days, so I’m thrilled at the prospect of using them for Movie/Music.
    Now I just need to figure out which to use for fronts and which for rears ;) They’ll all be similar price of around $700 each, perhaps very similar league sound-wise.

    If you are getting an integrated amplifier/receiver you are paying for features you don't use (ex. speaker amplifier). I think it's why in the video they recommend to buy used gear (it's more affordable).
    For better bang for buck, I would suggest to use a DAC that has RCA/XLR outputs. Some models (ex. Topping EX5) even come with bluetooth functionality and headphones output (for late night sessions) 🙂

    • @1337sim1
      @1337sim1 2 роки тому +2

      @@Nath-rg2qd No you cannot plug your turntable into the Topping EX5. It doesn't have RCA inputs.
      You need to decide if you want to plug/unplug the cables from the speakers when you switch from your computer to your turntable. (Or vice-versa)
      If you don't want to do that, you need a device called a preamplifier. It ables to you select the device that is playing and control the volume.
      Or you need a Phono to Digital converter and connect it to your DAC.
      For example:
      System 1:
      Turn table --> Pro-ject Optical Box E Phono --> Topping DX3 Pro+ --> Speakers
      Computer --> Topping DX3 Pro+ --> Speakers
      System 2:

    • @ADAMAudioBerlin
      @ADAMAudioBerlin  Рік тому

      Hi Bart! Yes, studio monitors are designed to reproduce sound with high fidelity and accuracy, which is essential for mixing and mastering audio. However, simply owning a pair of high-quality studio monitors does not automatically guarantee accurate sound reproduction.
      To achieve the best possible sound, it is important to set up your studio monitors correctly. This includes placing them in the correct position, adjusting their angle and height, and calibrating their frequency response.
      Additionally, the acoustic properties of your room can significantly impact the sound quality of your studio monitors. Factors such as room dimensions, wall materials, and furniture placement can cause sound reflections, resonance, and other acoustic issues that can affect the accuracy of your monitors.
      Therefore, a proper setup is necessary to ensure that your studio monitors are performing at their best and providing accurate sound reproduction.

    TV audio is so whack though... ieven 5.1 hd surround is inferior to 2D uncompressed lossless. Never buy hi-quality speakers just for sound quality when doing TV audio. its a waste of money. That said is was worth watching Jane. Well played Jane.
