That’s right we’re the only ones who got it right 😤😂 naw but I think that also probably gets to how the letter z is pronounced in the languages as well
With English, when in doubt, do as the Brits do. And they say “zebra” like Trevor. So, I’d take their word for it. They invented the language after all. 😂
All E’s actually have the same pronunciation in 1) German - which is where the car brand is from, 2) Spanish - which is the root origin of the name, and where the founder of the brand got the name. In both languages, the E only has the short E sound, as in egg. It only changes in English. 😂
English is not difficult to learn. The American version might be more weird as it doesn't make much sense to rename something has already been named, and of course the measurements.. Wich is not about the English language
Actually English is the problem. I Unlike, say, Italian, English is not a phonetic language -- letters are not necessarily written how they are pronounced. That's why you have ballet/mallet, wind/mind, tear/bear etc.
Mr. Noah is a very intelligent multi-lingual man. Being humorous in your mother tongue is a gift. But to be humorous in a number of differing languages (and cultures) requires a very rare intelligence- because humour can seldom be translated and share the same level of entertainment.
Trevor's comedy is intelligent and nuanced and in-your-face all at the same time. Love you Trevor.
I went to school with Trevor. Same year, same classes 😂
😂😂 Trevor is very funny can you react more on him like first time trying tacos by Trevor Noah
Alright bet 😂👍
English is definitely not one of the hardest languages to learn, in fact its probably the opposite. One of the reasons why everyone does it...
Well, like Trevor said: "...you don't have them so you can't name them." 😂
Zebra
😂
African American was the special name
You just got yourself a new subscriber😂😂😂. More Trevor Noah Please. Check out “ how British took over India” by Trevor Noah

Someone pointed out to me once how Mercedes has 3 "e's" with different pronunciations

It's Zebra though cause it's an African animal.

Knight and night is spelt different but sounds the same
Same structure of words
Yeah … and ‘knife’ and ‘nife’ also sound the same!!!
🤔
Americans do need to stop messing up the English language though. Lol
I don’t even have a word, I can spark an argument just asking someone to pronounce one letter.
Z
Lots of swearing 🤬 from the host
