If the Patriots traded out of 3 and Maye turned into a Justin Herbert or a Josh Allen they would never forgive themselves...if they draft Drake Maye and he doesnt work out then you spin the QB wheel again in a couple of years
Too early to expect success from a rookie qb. Build the roster, use the extra 1st round pick (acquired by trading back this year) next year, package the two first rounders, and move up when more of the roster needs have been addressed. If the Pats draft a qb this year, the odds of failure are enormous, almost guaranteed.

Maye to the Vikings at #3 (via trade with NE) makes complete sense. The landing spot, the connections to MN. coaching, the current qb situ in Minnesota, the Pats other roster needs, all point to Maye going to the Vikings. 😮

@willthomas2310 take Caleb out. Bo Nix is the best qb of this draft class. Best footwork, accuracy, pocket presence, and football iq. Then they say he has a weak arm BS . He threw the ball 58mph mph at the combine. Milton was the highest this year with 62mph. To make it simple for all the haters. Brock Purdy threw the ball 55mph

QBs like Bo Nix, JJ McCarthy, Michael Penix Jr all being talked into the top 20, GMs will fall for it & better prospects will be pumped down the draft board, it's interesting to witnessing it every April.

"Why is daniels over maye??" Idk maybe because his tape shows actual great skills and not just the hypothetical one's this years 'great white prototype' apparently possesses yet hasn't shown any in actual games. Maye is this years bortles or locker, he's mid af
U obviously have not watched maye play he has bad weapons a bad o line and has incredible skills needs some more experience but he can sit behind a vet and could end up being the best in the class

Better scenario. New England gives up the 3rd pick for a bunch of picks and finds a receiver in the latter rounds. They can use those picks to address a whole lot of needs. Here’s something to chew on. Jacoby Brissett goes down with a high ankle sprain in week six and Robert Kraft calls up Tom Brady and says “ hey old buddy, can you help us out?”

My prediction for chaos: Jets trade #10 pick to the LV Raiders for Davante Adams (maybe some other pieces involved here), then LV Raiders trade to #3 NE Patriots for #10 and #13 plus 1st Round 2025 (and maybe something else here). This assumes that the Washington Commanders DO NOT select Jayden Daniels at #2. That would be wonderful chaos.
