Monster Hunter shitposts or not, monster hunter in any form is amazing and I immediately click on these types of videos. For sure. Gens 1 and 2 are extremely hard to go back to imo, but Monster Hunter even at its clunkiest is still a good time. Playing the first 2 gens really makes me appreciate how refined the series has become though lol.

Greatsword should've been able to have strong aoe capability to deal with them. Like a rocket launcher strength. That said, it being a close-ranged huge sniper rifle is still very, very cool
Used to keep playing this on the way to work, at breaks/lunches, and on the way back. Even with the absurd hit-boxes, if you leared to account for the invisible punch field. The game won't betray you, it works just as it should! Flexing while healing should be a gameplay option in new games IMHO

Absolutely; I wasn’t able to play any before Freedom Unite, but I miss the difficulty, the super strong sense of accomplishment after an intense hunt. Now, the games are a cakewalk :( I would say 4U is the last game I seriously loved, with moderate enjoyment in GenU and World. Rise? Absolute noob game. Super easy, just tells you where all monsters are, etc. Man I hope they don’t screw up Wilds in 2025 🤞
The games are just as hard as they've always been; You've just gotten better. New world hunters struggle just as much as we did back in the PSP dates, except when it comes to hitboxes because we thankfully don't have Plesioth anymore.
@@kerrybarneyiii1202I don’t think the games were particularly harder. Actually, I would say the new version of OG monster have much more complex movesets. The difference is that we got older and better, and that there’s so many quality of life additions that help us hunting.
every hunters greatest milestone has to be evading pleasioth cosmic space bending mind and controller breaking tail whip, once you do that then you have became a certified hunter. 😅
I think the first reality check of my young life was when I tried the final village quest with the two rajangs in the arena. At that time I didnt even knew how to make a proper build. I just equipped the armor that looked cool and took the weapon with the highest dmg number
With 2,000 hours in 4U, I firmly believe it to be the best Monster Hunter right now, and probably forever, what with the changes and direction the franchise has gone. Sure, I love some things from most of the others (can’t think of anything I’d want from Rise lol) but overall I just love 4U, might be my favorite game of all

Needless to say I never managed to beat it xDDD And i never understood how crafting worked either so i was only ever using the bone weapons that the smithy sells always. Good times. Many years later I played monster hunter world and its one of my favorite games ever :)

No joke, as someone who has played souls for the last 15 years and as someone who has just recently discovered monster hunter world with 108 hours in world I can confidently say monster hunter is the hardest game I’ve ever played and it’s not hard because of the actual monsters it’s hard because it’s a shitty movement simulator where the character have got to have some kind of motor function disorder.
As a long-time MH and Souls player, I would have the opinion that MH movement is much better lol, maybe because I started there and have over 2,000 hours on MH4U alone
I stopped at the crimson and white fatalis. The movement option were simple but the controls were shit. Only made the most useful equipment amd did not even had a full page of Equipment cause grindinf was shit

1st to 2nd gen MH really just had that vibe. I feel like no other game, even within the series, could ever replicate it.
Wilds might, but iirc the lead changed which is why the other generations moved away from the very tribal feel we had in Gen 1 in particular.
