the new wave of British rock is here. Darlia, Royal Blood and Drenge can only be made popular by us, so please, lets not keep regenerating the same Killers, Razorlights and Kings of Leons we had in the 2000s. The 2010s have already brought us a new breed of raw rock music that we need. So please, tell your friends, tell anyone who likes music, because I really don't want this to go to waste.
Totally agree. Coming from Mallorca to the festival and Let's Pretend was one of the best moments of the weekend (together with The Orwells entire set). However I saved some little british boys of being crush during that song, cause people opened a huge mosh pit and it never was closed, making the crowd between it and the safety barriers to fell down.
Yeah I disagree - to say they're not well known when they're on the NME/R1 stage is a bit off. One of the most mental acts of the festival, I wasn't even that close to the front but it was brutal out there in the crowd
Took that view as only 2350 views whereas 15k on a band who has had huge media coverage like Royal Blood. Maybe not a direct comparison but just seem to be less spoken about and viewed compared with more 'known' bands. The crowd do look incredible too.
Rob Fraser Unfortunately Reading and Leeds has turned in to a mini glastonbury in recent years, not all about rock anymore, bout the indie and hip hop scene just as much now which is kind of fucking annoying tbh. This years line up is pretty fucking shite imo.
ryan kelly Not so plainly indie though, more grunge/post grunge rock than indie. The point I'm making is Drenge may fall under the indie category to some alongside the Kooks but Drenge are for more Rock/Grunge than they are indie. Ya fell me?

+Charlie Burnham Thanks for posting this comment man. Totally true.
5 yers later, it’s a shame this vibe didn’t catch on more :(
Probably the best video on UA-cam that successfully captures their energy
BBC didn't record Let's Pretend, the last song in their set, which was possibly the best thing I've ever experienced in my entrie life
Was their stand out song at Leeds also I thought

Their performance at Reading was something else, the crowd was absolutely mad too, so many people going all out
R.I.P. guy at 01:13
Pleeease post The Snake, such a wicked track, wish they'd release it already
They really are ridiculously good. Saw them in San Francisco a few weeks ago - deafening!
boy makin that guitar wail
So good, come to Colorado please!
Saw them on the highlights last night , outstanding but not well known!

If these guys don't headline next year then the best sounds are sounds that no longer make it to the top.

MozSFX Drenge are an indie band.

the moshpit there was crazy, so many people were pulled out after collapsing
go on chaps!
i think the drummer set a new record for how many times can hit a mic
If I hadn't nearly died in a moshpit I think they'd have been pretty fucking awesome :)
What the fuck are they wearing?
A dress. Nothing short.
Why are they wearing dresses? This doesn't shock anyone anymore, it's boring.
I understand looking unique and shit but those dresses ain't cute.
