      Hey Jesse. Looking at the filter is Triumph OE equipment so shouldn't affect the warranty for an owner to do their own servicing?

    • @jesseonamotorcycle
      @jesseonamotorcycle  Рік тому

      @@lakesbiker7286 idk why I didn’t see this. Sometimes UA-cam don’t alert me on all the comments. No should not void the warranty if we use Triumph OEM parts or recommended parts. I recommend keeping a organize history of self service and receipts will be a good idea. Document everything just in case.

    Hey Jesse, one tip I learned in the motocross world is that you want to get your engine warmed pretty well before draining the oil. The theory is that the debris falls to the bottom of the engine casing and sump when it’s cold. When the engine oil is really warmed and recently run, the debris is suspended in the oil so when you go to drain it, most of that debris flows out with the hot/warm oil.

    Great video. I did everything mentioned, the oil fill is about 3/4 full on sight glass. The engine oil fill shows up when I power the bike on, when I start up it goes away. When I shut off it comes back on, not sure what's going on here.

    Nice vid, Jesse. Used your video to change mine for my 600 mile service. Cheers! Couple of questions:
    1. Why did you use the side stand vs the center stand? Is that what you're supposed to use?
    2. How did you reset your service light?

    Sharing my experience! I just did mine at 2500 miles because I never trust what the dealer put in. I did it on the center stand (maybe this is where my problem came from?.. not sure) I did the oil fill first and then the filter and my low pressure light would not go out. So I turned it off, loosen the oil filter but left it tight enough so I could start it with the oil filter loose. No oil came out low pressure light still on... only ran it for about 30 seconds then turned it off. Then I backed off the oil filter till it spit some oil out. Then spun the filter back to the 10nm per specs in the book. This burped the air out of the system and I was able to get the low pressure light to go out. Anyone find a tool that you can reset the service light with?
