    THANK YOU! We have the exact same model, and I was dreading the idea of how to run wire under there. That’s actually nowhere near as hard as I expected it to be.

    I've had the left panel off a couple of times (mostly thanks to this great video) and it's a pain to put back in .... but it gets easier. I took the throttle side panel off yesterday and it was a real PITA to reassemble because the top lug has to fit into a shared slot on the tank. It took me ages to slip that bastard in successfully lol. There is also a clipped lug near it that goes into a bigger slot near the tank. That clip on the lug would continually detach itself from the lug and disappear into the innards. I reckon that clip isn't really needed but I persisted anyway and eventually got it all to work. Just a warning for newbies!

    I just traded in my Rally 900 for one of these beauties. Glad I found you and your informative, detailed videos. It's one of the reasons I'm sticking with Triumph. Thank you!

    Rick flare in the house styling and profiling with the red hat nice 👍 looking sharp there Craig! hard to find old school metal coat hangers used many times to hold up my exhaust back in the day lol now these days there mostly are plastic .

      They are still used by dry cleaners. I always keep a few around for this like this.

    I wonder if this procedure is the same for the GT Pro I’m guessing it is? Anyway thank you so much for making and uploading, love the the no fuss, calm way you present an easy watch 👍👍👍

    Love your information and style. I just got the same bike this week and will be keeping you front and center. I am trying to put the factory upper crash bars on and have to take that big grey piece off. Any videos would help because triumph doesn't have a thing.

    Always enjoy your videos Craig! I have been following you since your Victory Vision days. My 08 Vision has about 80k miles on it and you were a large part of my decision to buy it. As you get more miles on the Tiger I am very interested to hear your opinions of it. The Tiger 1200 GT Pro and a 1250 GS are on my short list of next bikes to own if a bus ever rolls over the Vision.

      @@LivingOffTheSlab I do worry about that. It seems not even the Indian baggers can rival the Vision for passenger comfort. 😜

    I wish this was available a few weeks ago! Easy to get off... but took me a while to wiggle it back on lol. I ended up buying a small torque wrench because these bolts are specced for very low torque. It would be easy to break the plastic tabs just using hands and "Feel".

      @LivingOffTheSlab  Рік тому +1

      I have had them off several times and did not cracked anything. But, fair enough, I added the torque settings in a pinned post,

      @@LivingOffTheSlab It's probably pretty safe using a small hex allen key but I can imagine someone using a 1/2 inch ratchet drive cranking it too hard lol.

    Best wishes from UK recently bought a GTE with a scratch on the side panel which the dealer kindly offered to replace and fit. Unfortunately when I checked it in to have some Denali lights added the shop pointed out that the dealer has refitted that top panel incorrectly at the front lug and would not touch it as he says they are fragile and was worried he would break it! Looks like I will do it myself your vid is perfect timing. Only one question does anyone know what the torque setting for those panel Allen bolts is? Thanks for a very clear vid. Looking forward to more content.

    Question: I bought a 2023 triumph Tiger 1200 GT Explorer in January 2024. During a long ride , I noticed numbness in both hands. I installed evo-tech bar end weights and I believe it reduces the vibration somewhat but I still experience numbness during long rides at highway speeds.(65-80 mph) Are there any other suggestions you have for this issue? Also, this bike will probably never see any off-road duty. Other than that, I love this bike.

    • @LivingOffTheSlab
      @LivingOffTheSlab  3 місяці тому +1

      Yeah there is little buzz in the bars. Most of time I don't notice it, but some people are more susceptible. My hands don't go numb but they do get sore. When on the highway I use cruise control if possible and then open my hands flat on the bars, using a light touch. I will even alternate using one hand on the bars letting the other one rest. I have also found that 4th gear seems to be the busiest, around 5000 rpms. I will shift to 5th and keep the rpms around 4000 for cruising.

    Very helpful video, thanks a lot. Are those the only panels (left and right) you have to remove to remove the fueltank (for changing the airfilter)? Cheers from The Netherlands

    Well I just realized your instructions won't work for my motorcycle I have a 2023 Triumph Tiger 900 GT pro. It's a little more complicated. There's another guy out there on the Internet who shows how to do it. It's something I probably don't want to do.
