Hi @Scott Brio. Many thanks for your feedback. I hope that this other tutorial of mine helps you create your presets: ua-cam.com/video/9XZYK1gbqeU/v-deo.html
This is exactly what a tutorial should be - straight to the point and theres no fat on this video - every word is required!! If I had one very minor point and this is only constructive criticism. You could maybe spend a couple of seconds explaining exactly what each parameter is doing (you have done this with some of them, but not all). However I don't wish to complain because this was as precise as it needed to be and it worked first time when I did it. thank you so much, I was about to spend money on a pack of overlays. Now I don't need to - Subscribed. By the way people, if you liked this video please subscribe, it really helps the creators. I never understand why people don't just subscribe anyway. Hi @SonaCalm. Thank you so much for your comment and I appreciate your feedback. I have certainly been working on providing more insight and examples of the effects of adjusting certain settings in the software whilst also avoiding becoming too 'hold-handy' as my channel has developed over the years. Hi @Shiroumx M. You're welcome. Glat that you've learned a lot from the video. If you use rectangles instead of ellipse shapes, you can make these spin by using the pEmitter node. Go to Controls, Spin and then adjust the value for Z as demonstrated at 12:07 in this earlier tutorial from the channel: ua-cam.com/video/z5Pnewz8vPY/v-deo.html&ab_channel=C0nti Hope that helps.
Hi @Bob Corey. I reckon that you'll need 3D particles for this instead of my 2D ones in this tutorial so that they still have some realism to them as the camera angle alters. I will look into the tracking and 3D shape DaVinci Resolve techniques and see if I can come up with something. P.S. You play some nice tunes with the ukulele and guitar!
Hi @Q-Pax. In the Fusion window, if you go to Effects Library in the latest DaVinci Resolve software, click on Templates and you should be able to search for a 'Bubbles' effect. I will try altering the settings to this effect to see how it works and how it can be edited also to see if a video can be made about this. Hope that helps.
Hi @Φ-Pax. I hope that you are well and have had a good break from DaVinci Resolve. Hi @Tones from Paradise. Were you referring to the colour applied to the whole particle ellipse shape? Any colour you select from your pEmitter node under Style and Color Controls should be applied. Hope that helps.
Hi @Fatcalf Media. Thank you for the comment. For the pEmitter node, under Controls in the inspector, you can alter the value for Angle Z under Velocity to make the 'flying through' effect. 270 is an example value you could use for this as this should make the particles appear that they are flowing towards the viewer. I will see if I can do a tutorial one time to demonstrate also or an alternative method if I find one. Hope that helps.
If I wanted to make something like this into a loop is there away to start with the particles or even have them drop off to allow the loop to look smooth
Hi @Big Foal. You could have the particles drop off by experimenting with keyframes with the Number variable for the pEmitter node in the Inspector window. If you click on the diamond icon (to the right of this variable in Inspector) to add a keyframe at the first frame of your animation, find a frame later on in your fusion composition clip where you want the particles to start fading away; add a keyframe here also, then go to another later frame and reduce the Number value to 0. This should allow the remaining particles on screen to start fading away during the rest of your fusion composition clip. Hope that helps.

Hi @XRAY8492. The background is transparent by default. It only appears as black in the tutorial as there is no video or image file placed in a video track below that containing the Fusion Composition in the Edit window. At 0:42, the Fusion Composition is positioned in video track one (V1/Video 1); you can drag your own composition clip up to track two and place another video or image file in track one and the particles should then appear in front of this. If I use this as an overlay on real footage, I noticed that the particles move with the camera movements. Any ideas to solve this? Is it via camera tracking? It's all rather new for me :D
Hi @Gorik Desmet. I reckon that it will involve some form of camera tracking to avoid the particles moving simultaneously with the camera.
