I know highly intelligent people who can also behave properly. Being intelligent does not mean you have the right to be an a** and look down on people.
The German interviewer didn't deserve a serious answer for such a tabloid question, but he still awarded her with a golden viral moment. I think Hugh Grant's sarcasm and dry wit goes over far better with Brits and also most Scandinavians (I'm Norwegian) than it does a lot of people in many other countries. Especially people in US are so damn oversensitive (since they take up a lot of space on the internet I will single them out). They seem perfectly fine with gun violence etc but pure raw honesty - as opposed to the fake smiles and the glossy facades - and so many of them seem to get into cancel mode. The people who called Hugh rude after the Oscars need to grow up. They don't know the meaning of Rude. Mass shootings, "trying kids as adults", oligarchs taking over your country etc, that is rude. Hugh Grant's sarcasm in the face of bullshit is not. 🤷🏻♂️
Hugh is old school British. Does not believe in all the "fluff" that the American entertainment industry continually spouts, just to fill airtime. Interviewers are banal, questions are uninventive, but I suppose so are half their audience. Refreshing to see someone telling it like it is.
Regarding Alex, I think he regretted whispering in your ear and realised perhaps it looked like flirting under his wife’s nose, so that’s why he moved further away from you and eventually moved on completely.
Love Hugh. Many years ago he appeared on The Actor's Studio. What a sharp, witty, genuinely funny man. I CANNOT believe Hilaria has given birth to 7 kids!!! Impressive.

Is it rude to be honest instead of fake? He's being interviewed, he's not at a cocktail party, I feel like he has no obligation to be chummy with the "reporter," he's just answering questions honestly.

Probably depends on context. A longer sit down interview, like Barbara Walters used to do, it seems appropriate. (And also appropriate for star to deflect or decline.) It seems gross to ambush a star at a red carpet with a serious and sensitive question. Nobody want to have to deliver a ten second sound bite about a very personal, emotional topic in a party atmosphere like that. And shouldn’t be asked to.

Hugh Grant was being honest and being himself. That reporter was asking superficial questions. You were being polite with Hilaria. You did the right thing.

You should make a video on the emotional effects of your job on your private life, preparation, and planning interviews. The waiting. The effects of bad interviews? Safety and security in these settings, Have you been exposed to rude staff? Do you get recognized? Have you been to a celebrity home? How do you secure a good spot on the carpet?
Alec Baldwin - never been a fan. Hugh Grant however, hilarious. I've had to tame down my sarcasm & dry humor at times bc those who don't get it tend to be offended so I understand.
Regarding the sound in the Alec Baldwin portions of the video - the sound is out of phase, which usually means if you're listening in mono (like from a phone's in built speaker) the left and right channels effectively cancel each other out and the result is silence. To correct this one way is to take your original audio and only use either the left or right channel as the source for that portion of the video ...
I'm a Hugh Grant fan but he could have thrown the interviewer who asked him less than ideal questions a life line and been nicer. Just answer the question and help the interviewer. Be a nice person. Actually, I think Hillaria was terrific as was Alec as they gave you material and were pleasant. I've never seen Alec this warm and jovial so it was a good side to him and I think Hillaria brought it out by being there on the red carpet. Alec and Hillaria take a lot of flack because of Alec being so outspoken but he is a great actor and Hilaria seems really nice.
Hugh Grant isn't rude, he'e British. I find his sense of humor to be wonderful. And imo Ashley Graham has as much right in being an Entertainment Reporter as she does being a model.

That Hilaria/Hilary story was epic, and Amy Schumer's special where she roasted that whole situation was so good. Also, I think she did surrogacy with most of her children..so even her 'getting in shape after kids' is not so real:)).
I gotta say I've seen Hugh Grant in a few of those red carpet interviews and he often comes off as cocky and confrontational. You’re so brave for saying whats on your mind lol it’s so funny to me, I love your videos. I was wondering, do you still interview people? Are you afraid at all to go back and talk to some people you’ve exposed here on UA-cam?
Now I know why you were so familiar when you released the Lively/Posey video! This interview was used by many YT creators covering the Hilaria Spanish Scandal!! Yes, Baldwin was & is rude.
I think part of the job is rolling with the punches so I actually think what was happening with Alec and his wife Hillary was more interesting then anything you could have scripted and that whenever you are “stuck” interviewing someone, you might as well stay invested.
it's obvious they have absolute distain for interviewers, and you have to stand your ground and move on from time wasters or you will miss opportunities

Sorry, not a fan of this guy... he has this air of superiority.
I get serious Bullingdon club vibes from him!
You’re so brave for saying whats on your mind lol it’s so funny to me, I love your videos. I was wondering, do you still interview people? Are you afraid at all to go back and talk to some people you’ve exposed here on UA-cam?
I’m curious too!
I love her humor.
Love Hugh Grant always! ❤️
Love British humour ❤
A model as the interviewer??😳
Yeah ...
Now I know why you were so familiar when you released the Lively/Posey video! This interview was used by many YT creators covering the Hilaria Spanish Scandal!! Yes, Baldwin was & is rude.
Really??! I didn’t even know that.
@ It came up often.
I think part of the job is rolling with the punches so I actually think what was happening with Alec and his wife Hillary was more interesting then anything you could have scripted and that whenever you are “stuck” interviewing someone, you might as well stay invested.
I like your approach. And you are probably right!
❤ Hugh grant too!
Were Alec and his wife drunk?
Save Hugh Grant
it's obvious they have absolute distain for interviewers, and you have to stand your ground and move on from time wasters or you will miss opportunities
I love Hugh. Very dry English humour.
I just love Hugh Grant. 😂
I love Hugh grant and I adore Ashley graham. She is way too energetic for him lol
HG is just funny☺️
Hilarious Hillaria Hillary
