A former boss of mine worked on one of Keanu’s films and said… Keanu came in for a meeting and asked if someone could stop at a Starbucks and grab him a coffee. They send in a P.A. and Keanu gives him a $100 and said, “Just a coffee for me and whatever anyone else in the office wants.” Then on the final week of shooting the film a semi truck pulls up filled with champagne bottles- each worth about $500 and a bottle per crew member. Also, a friend who works in publicity said, “Antonio was one of his favorites… so chill and laid back.”
Oscar is adorable! Until I started watching your videos, I had NO idea how difficult your job was. It all seemed very glamorous and easy - you get to meet famous people, you go to parties and events, and you ask a few questions - but holy cow! After seeing all your nightmarish stories, I would never want your job. Some of it sounds like fun, but so much of it just sounds stressful. Thank you for sharing all the behind-the scenes stories! ❤
I stood outside for about 8 hours of a film set waiting to see Keanu. When he finally showed up there was a crowd of people, he got out of the blacked out suburban to put his bag inside and he raised up his finger as to say just one moment looking at the crowd. I'm not sure if someone told him how long id been waiting but i was the first person he walked up to and reached out his hand and shook my hand. He took a picture with me and signed about 3 things i had with me. I told him it was an honor to meet him. There was a lady who didn't have anything for him to sign so i gave her one of my 8x10s i had extra for many years and he said thank you for that. He was and is forever the man to me.
I recently discovered your posts about Blake Lively, and your statements made on Popcorned Planet. It seems to me, you are the only real, honest interviewer that I have witnessed. You are pragmatic, polite, and ethical. Thank you for your honest contributions. Keep it up. There are not enough of you on UTube!
I suddenly have so much more empathy for what interviews can be like from an actor's perspective! I hadn't really thought about the aspect of cultural differences and what it must be like to navigate that after you've been continuously interviewed for hours and hours on end. I think Meryl and Keanu handled some unusual questions with patience, humor and grace! I have so much respect for that. Thanks for always being so willing to share your experiences; I have honestly learned so much and had so much fun along the way! Big kisses and snuggles for the ridiculously good-looking Oscar 💜💜
Loved the story about Chris Hemsworth "I love my brother. I'm Chris" That's so cute!! Also appreciated Leonardo speaking up for you! As for the Australian, it's a particular type of Aussie humour - to say something a bit silly and ridiculous to try and catch the interviewee out and make them laugh. To be honest if the actress is going to get upset over something so inoffensive... well, it makes her look a bit precious 🤷♀
Celebrity gossip and a cute dog, the perfect formula for success💁🏻♀️. We need more individuals like you who share these stories about their carriers. It’s incredibly captivating and informative to learn about the industry that I’m so far from. I’ve been here since Blake Lively, but I’m to stay tuned. If you happen to be in New York at any point, it would be an absolute dream come true to have the opportunity to shoot a video portrait with you!
I’m with the Australian journalist….the first time I heard Brie Larson’s name, I thought why on earth did her parents call their child after a cheese? Did they not realise she’d get teased about it? What were they thinking?!?!?? Thanks for another great video 😁
When I worked at the airport I always said that if the customer comes to me and is polite he would get whatever he wants, but rude ones would get nothing. I guess it applies to all jobs. Being nice and behave properly doesn't cost a thing. Oscar is lovely and well behaved. My cats see me in front of the camera and start to mess around. My dogs tend to be more quiet. But they are not into be the protagonists. 😂😂 Thanks for your videos.

Aww, as a former DiCaprio stan in my youth it was nice to hear the story about him noticing you being unable to get a word in over the other interviewers and ultimately stepping in to give you the floor 😊 Lol reminds me of feeding ducks/geese/animals and how there’s always the pushy ones that make sure they’re getting fed (and then some!) and the more submissive ones that I have to actually go out of my way to feed lest they get totally crowded out and have all their food snatched by their peers.

Kjersti, you were extra-radiant in this video. Hard to focus on the content. :) I enjoyed your humourous take on these journalists. Keep up the good work. It's always insightful and entertaining.
2:10 I love this moment. I used to work overseas for a company with people from 40 different countries. It is hilarious and awkward how weird things can get. I can only imagine how weird and awkward some press interviews get, especially when the media/media bosses are so often pushing for personal questions and provocative statements. It really is a recipe for disaster, but everyone (including me) is a sucker for drama!
lol I so enjoy your videos. This one cracked me up…well most of them do. Haha - in this one, I liked how you showed quick examples of what you were talking about i.e. the hospitality suite where journalists sits and then when you’re on deck outside the hotel room etc. it’s nice to see the behind the scenes
The brie cheese thing is hilarious. I’m sure she’s heard it all her life but dang, would it have hurt anyone to just laugh at the guy’s silly joke?? She’s the jerk there
I’m not going to compare my jobs with being a celebrity journalist, but J know that experience of walking in on my first day, and the other employees just looked at me out of the corner of their eyes 👀 and didn’t bother even introducing themselves. After that, every new employee, I greeted with a handshake and introduced myself, as well as told them to ask me any questions.
I was also thinking about this topic. Especially when you did the videos with Nelson Aspen and he commented on publicists coming at him from behind the camera stopping questions. I was sure celebrities probably have those people because there are journalists that overstep boundaries.
Well sometimes I do wonder, what is the deal with Italians? They are just sooo celeb obsessed! Seems like all of the celeb sites on IG are run by Italians, they invented the Paparazzi, ect....usually Russians couldnt care less, England is famous for their horrible behavior by journalists re Tabloids; I love how Aussies always try to bring some humor/levity into things; but yeah would imagine that Brie is pretty tired of the cheese jokes LOL Them going after the food part is my favorite here; hungry people just go nuts over free food!! (Kjersti your hair looks just amazing here🤩)
There is a very popular concept on UA-cam called Vocal Coach React in which they dissect and appreciate the skills of singers, so the audience learns something about how to sing. I think you could also apply it to other interviewers. For example, Allison Hammond is a great interviewer who knows how to loosen up her guests and keep the energy light. Graham Norton has mastered the art of listening and knowing when to take a step back and let the guest do the talking. I think you could teach us a thing or two. Interviewing skills are actually quite the transferable skills and maybe you will inspire a next generation of journalists 😁
As an Asian who grew up in Canada, I think some questions aren't meant to be rude, but more a reflection of that culture and how they talk. Example: Chinese people/families comment on one's weight as the first thing when they see family members "oh my gosh, you've gained weight" and though this is extremely rude in Western cultures, it's been part of Chinese culture for centuries.
Yes, you are totally right. And that is very funny to comment on people's weight. I remember how different it was when i was traveling in China. I love the differences that comes across when culture meets like this.
@@Flaawsometalk reminds me when Kate Winslet approached Ang Lee (director) in Sense and Sensibility, and needed re-assurance of her acting. She asked Ang how she was doing, to which he responded "don't worry, you'll get better". LOL. I don't think Ang realized what/why Kate was asking him, so gave an answer more understandable by Asians.
As an Asian American who grew up in Asia for 15 years, I must say that commenting on one’s weight can be rude but often disguised as a way of asking for your help so that is why the recipients often do not say anything back for fear of “making a scene”. And let me tell you this: struggling with weight and being constantly subjected to weight comments are NOT fun at all. Eating disorder and depression still happen in Asia. The difference is that Asians don’t usually seek psychiatric help regarding their mental health.
Hi there Kjersti. Another great video. It's nice to see that some celebs have a great sense of humor or patience, depending on how you look at it. Those questions they asked were crazy!!! That one with Meryl Streep was insane. A bitch in the bedroom?!!!🤨🙄Meryl was a good sport about it though. Keanu and the stupid alien one was another goody. Maybe the interviewers just get Star struck and blurt out silly comments and questions? That was nice that Leo DiCaprio let you get in the conversation. Give Oscar(The Dancing King) some belly rubs and kisses from me🥰 See you next time.🤩
I’ve become so addicted to your videos! That Meryl Streep question and the Keanu Reeves one had me LMAO. It seems these journalists forget the actors are acting 😂 Hi Oscar 🐶 you are so adorable 🥰 Kjersti, I’m an Aussie and I’m wondering if you ever saw the interview with Tom Cruise and our Peter Overton from 2005? Peter did ask questions about Nicole Kidman because as Aussies we want to know but Tom took Peter to task over it. Tom ended up looking like an A-Hole in the interview. Tom and Nicole were separated at the time just to give context. It wasn’t even that big of a deal 😂
Oscar is so cute. Keanu I think always handles things very well. About Brie Larson if that was my name and he said that I would have died laughing. No reason to always be so serious.
It is funny how child like some of the questions were. Specifically Keanu & his alien character! Lol Hi Oscar! My profile pic is of my dog Jade when she was a puppy. Now she’s an 85 lb. bundle of joy!! 🤩
I think the ones with Scarlett Johansson are really rude when she is asked about her fashion elements also when asked about her underwear by the interviewer Jerry Penacoli, I wonder if that guy has a bad reputation
There is good and bad in every profession! That Brie cheese joke was just silly, but you never know how he delivered it. And we only got his side of the story. Nonetheless, ive never seen BL in anything that gave me the impression that she has a sense of humour
Being Russian and having some education in translating I understand how that first Russian lady got in this situation. Yes, she did translate the saying word by word. And I bet she didn't even realized that a bit lying and simplifying in translation could save everything. But as a result you all had a good laugh, sometimes it's good too 😉
Just curious if anyone knows that one interviewer who was talking with Cillian Murphy and Tom Hardy and he kept saying Cillian was British but he's Irish. Was the interviewer really being that disrespectful or what it a language thing?
Something I've learned from watching this channel is that it's so important that the interviewers do research on the actors they will encounter. Maybe the journalist you're referring to didn't have time to research beforehand.
😂 Are you sure the lady interviewing Julia wasn't perhaps from Horse and Hound magazine? 😉 Also, Australian comedic reporter. Not Ozzy Man, is it? Not a reporter but we once had a lady working for us that didn't understand television. She couldn't understand why an actor she just saw die on one show was suddenly alive on another. I had to explain to her. Probably quite obvious, but was Oscar named after the award?
Haha, yes, I spent much of my early career working with journalists (print hacks and in the BtoB market so not quite the same) and yes...give 'em free food and drink it's like a hyena attack. And Reeves is a jewel. Pretty unflappable and kind of heart. Ms Larson I am fond of and, as I follow her on Instagram, I think she has softened in recent years...maybe under her management's guidance? But I've seen some interviews in the past where she has been pricklier than a hedgehog.
To be honest, I don't remember these people's names. But I did do a video where I expose a lot of the bad apples nua-cam.com/video/LejfoEQ52b4/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/4cSbFiSCk7c/v-deo.html
Too common. No offence, but in my opinion, most journalists who interview celebrities, are just plain stupid. I don't think they are trying to be provocative, they believe that they're very funny and original, and what's worse is that their bosses often are at the same level. Years ago Pamela Anderson was a guest on a show in my country. One of the first questions she was asked, was whether her breasts were insured.
I work for a small radio station in Russia. We make local news, not celebrity interviews. What i see in this video is that half of the "rude" behaviour instances come from language barrier. The journalists simply couldn't form their questions in a more elegant way. It's not rudeness. But i have to admit that knowing the language of the speaker(interviewee) is a must for a professional. I do not appreciate laughing at people's accents though.
Yes you right, it wasn't rude, but the b part was vulgar. Even thou, it was understandable: "She seemed to be a perfect wife, she was a great cook, great diplomat, great lover. And still it wasn't enough. The question is why?". And I don't think they were laughing because her accent, but the b word. Russian accent is very beautiful!:)

Thank you so much and Oscar sends kisses.
Kjersti, I love your sweater. You look gorgeous in it. Sending happy thoughts to everyone.
aww, you made my day. Thank you
Aww ,Kjersti ,i told you Oscar was a scene stealer. He us simply adorable ♥x
Aww, thank you
I think the ones with Scarlett Johansson are really rude when she is asked about her fashion elements also when asked about her underwear by the interviewer Jerry Penacoli, I wonder if that guy has a bad reputation
Don't scare me with the thumbnail 😂😂😂
Do you think some of these people just want to ask a question and can't think of anything good, so they just ask whatever pops into their head?
ha ha it sounds like that sometimes
Aww your dog Oscar is so cute 😍
Oscar is precious!! 🥰 I want to interview him ☺️
💗💗🐶
Hi Kjersti. Am curious if you have someone you havent interviewed but really want to interview?
Yeah, Jack Nicholson!
@@Flaawsometalk Ooohhh!! Good one!! He'd be a compelling one to interview. He'd probably flirt outrageously too!! 😂😂😂
Talking about Brie, imagine being named after a tennis ball brand like Penn Badgley.🤦🏻♀️
You, my dear, are so brave!
Thank you so much. Oscar is a cutie. 💚🇨🇷
But as a result you all had a good laugh, sometimes it's good too 😉
ha ha yes
Just curious if anyone knows that one interviewer who was talking with Cillian Murphy and Tom Hardy and he kept saying Cillian was British but he's Irish. Was the interviewer really being that disrespectful or what it a language thing?
I think the interviewer probably didn't know
Something I've learned from watching this channel is that it's so important that the interviewers do research on the actors they will encounter. Maybe the journalist you're referring to didn't have time to research beforehand.
The cheese question is mild. I dont know why they make such a big deal.
Asking Brie Larsen how she feels about being named after a cheese seems a valid question to me. ( I do happen to be Australian though.)
ha ha
Keanu reeves is the best please never say a bad word about him
😂 Are you sure the lady interviewing Julia wasn't perhaps from Horse and Hound magazine? 😉 Also, Australian comedic reporter. Not Ozzy Man, is it? Not a reporter but we once had a lady working for us that didn't understand television. She couldn't understand why an actor she just saw die on one show was suddenly alive on another. I had to explain to her. Probably quite obvious, but was Oscar named after the award?
This is just too funny! Ha ha thank you for sharing
@Flaawsometalk You're very welcome. I love how you do this. You give both perspectives. Keep doing what you do. Love to Oscar 🤗
That's so funny. Thank you for sharing. Hyena attack is such an accurate description!
Ohhh, call these cringe interviews!! Dear Lord!! 😅😅
Fedt
We all know who they are lol.....
😂😂😂😂
it would be very interesting if you share your personal cultural difference experiences at your work.
Thank you. Yes, I could definitely make a video about that.
If we have the names of celebrities why not share names of reporters?
To be honest, I don't remember these people's names. But I did do a video where I expose a lot of the bad apples nua-cam.com/video/LejfoEQ52b4/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/4cSbFiSCk7c/v-deo.html
Hi, Oscar! How do you feel about being forced into this video without written permission from you? 🙂
Ha ha he signed an agreement first
Brie 😂 🧀 😂
Oscar 🥰
I know. I have seen so much stupid behavior.
Hello😊
None of these were particularly interesting or controversial
Sorry you were disappointed
I don’t wonder why you have no subscribers. 😂
Is there sexism among journalists?
awww, thank you
I heart Oscar!
awww
@@Flaawsometalk what breed is he?
Hi🥰
@zuzkakluska2567 no, not this one. they were laughing at the "fortune teller" woman.
5:00 such a thick accent I can't
ha ha
I love Keanu. I wish I knew him in real life, he seems like such an authentically cool person. 🩷
