That downtown trip was on Euclid and she was East Side--the other way. No supermarket in Shaker was that big back then, not even Zagara's (now Dave's). I love this movie so much. I love the personal experience of it so much. She landed at Fairhill, didn't she? It was the state hospital at the western fringe of Shaker. It closed in 1988 or so. There was no "Shaker Heights Memorial." Either they took her to St Lukes or to Fairhill. I don't remember if St Luke's had a psych unit. University did--Hanna Pavilion.
Natalie Wood such an iconic actress since she is as about 6or 7 years old a child star like Roddy McDowell, Shirley Temple, Elizabeth Taylor, Mickey Rooney and many others. Such a terrible tragedy and mystery surrounding her drowning death in November 1981. It still somewhat of a mystery to thi day Natalie was 42 years old. 😢😔✝️🕊💔🌺🌸💐🌼
Poor Natalie drowned off Catalina bay and she had a terrible fear of water...her husband and her old boyfriend on the boat with her...they say they have no idea how she ended up in the water. After all these years the whole truth of what happened is still unknown.
Natalie Wood wasn't a GREAT actress, but she was a capable one who never got material that was worthy of her. Or rarely. Her best stuff was mostly in the early 60's- and some mid-sixties. I was a huge fan but she just never really got many chances to show the best of her. IMO.
I appreciate your assessment. She was a natural actress as a child, and unlike so many others really blossomed as an adult. Perhaps a victim of the old studio system and never got the plum roles she deserved.
There were two hospitals as candidate in this movie. One was St Luke's, a private hospital, and the other was Fairhill, a state hospital at Fairhill and MLK. Fairhill closed in 1988/89.
Haven’t seen this movie since I was a kid. So glad to see it again. Natalie really was an amazing actress.

Rumor is she found her husband and his friend in bed together...
"Worn beads and shiny knees"😂😂😂
Robert Perault Insabella, given name of the actor who played Bobby (brother), died in 1990, age 43. I cannot seem to find the cause of death.
51:11 with her (nice) boots in hospital bed. You don't actually do that.
