I thoroughly enjoyed this movie and didn't want it to end. Sophia was such a stunning-looking woman and an excellent actress. One of my all-time favourites.
Sophia Loren is an iconic actress, a beauty and wow, what a life and still beautiful in her 80s. They do not make them like her anymore that is for her.such a role model ..Thanks for sharing.
The girls' lives were difficult, but their mother had to give up all her dreams, but, at least as consolation, she saw them come true through her daughter, everything she wanted, dreamed, hoped for, her daughter received and she was a very strong woman and a very attentive mother.
I have never seen this movie before! How incredible! I didn’t know Sophia made a movie about her own mother. Sophia always played archetypal mothers on screen so it makes sense that she thought about the influence of her own mother on her life. Sophia would’ve been 46 when she made this movie. I imagine much older than what her mother would’ve really been when she gave birth to Sophia. In any event, it’s a well-produced and directed biopic, and how amazing and what a beautiful thing to do in memory of her family and origin story. I love Sophia. She is an amazing person who always seemed to me to have a great heart and soul and was always a really mesmerising actress and personality.
I 'm watching this with gr8 interest. U would think painful for her to tell the world bout her mother but this was her Sophia life. Rough upbringing but the end result is a Cinderella story.
My granddaughter is named Sophia Waiariki her beauty is absolutely 💯 It's an Movie of this Actress The Leading men Cary Grant Gregory Peck Handsomely men Carlo Ponti Sophia their extraordinary love her courage she had her baby I thoroughly enjoyed her heartening life filled with Love Happiness internally from life which makes REALITY-IS
Her father had a bloody nerve getting in touch with her and asking for her autograph when he wouldn't give his youngest daughter his name and asked for payment for it the swine .
Maybe she had miscarried so many times due to nutritional deficiency. A lot of actresses have to literally starve themselves for their figure. Not her fault at all, it’s what the industry demands. Great movie ❤
@@chetyoubetya8565 Also, Sophia and her sister, mother (and so many more people) lived through World War II with terrible hunger and thirst, and this deprivation affected Sophia's and her sister's health during their childhoods. Her sister even survived typhoid fever. Sophia described hunger as a driving force of her life in one of her marvelous cookbooks. These stark conditions during many of her growing years might have had a big impact on her ability to give birth. But Sophia, bless her, finally had two sons, using strict bedrest as the only means to carry herself and her babies through to term. She never starved herself. Instead she was genuinely starved.
I have been following Armand as Santa through his career, they just keep giving him those roles that make him a unpleasant person in every movie! Why is that?
I disagree. Who better to portray her Mother than the person who knew her best? I'm sure she was honored to portray her Mother and I'd bet her Mother would have approved.
It’s not strange at all. Don’t be ridiculous. It’s perfectly natural because she would’ve looked like her and understood her and it’s a really beautiful homage to her own mother. Why not?
@@lapislazuli7876 Maybe if she'd done the movie just as her mother that would've been great. But having Sophia play Sophia was ridiculous and odd especially that scene with Gavin as Grant.
Carlo Ponti, Vittorio De Sica, & Sophia Loren made such wonderful movies together. Sophia chose wisely. Thanks for posting. 🙂

An all-star cast! 👏 I remember when every segment of Sophia's life was in the news. I always thought she was the most beautiful woman on earth! 🥰

^ That's one way of seeing it.
Yes, this is the way of seeing those who have not even had a mother!@@billwilson5341

She made a second film, a two-episode miniseries, in 2010: "La mia casa è piena di specchi". I ignore if it's around in English.
Beautifully done.
God bless this stunning beauty! She is beautiful even in her 80s!
Sophia was the most beautiful woman as a kid I adored her in the movies 😍
Thanks for posting it.

That's Italians for you

My daughters name is Sophia but sometimes she does get called Sophie, she does really prefer Sophia. Sophia Loren, beautiful lady ❤❤❤

Married by prroxy..wow.....never heard of that before....such a classy lady...beautiful....♥️♥️
Sophia aged gracefully without silly face fillers!
yes she is 89 and looks great
My favorite! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Quite a few scenes that I remembered have been edited out. But it's nice to see most of this movie again.
I loved this .
First time seeing ❤
Gracias! ❤❤❤❤❤

Saw it when it came out. The business about her and Cary Grant was pretty silly, but a lot of things that make no sense are believed.

No sound. 🔇
Sound is just fine on my end.

Weird. I even restarted my phone just in case it was a glitch on my end. 🤷♀️ Idk. I'll try again later.
Sound is Great

I guess I wasn't holding my mouth right or something ... Sounds coming in loud & clear now. 🤷♀️🤦♀️😆
$ophia herself looked a bit like Greta Garbo, both share end of $eptember Birthdays
Must be weird to play her lovely but bitter, overbearing mother
🤯

Umm she never dieted in her life and she did everything to have a baby she would never do that nonsense it's not the Italian way.

Carlo Ponti has never been stunning or handsome!
Pretty desperate
To play your own mother in a made for TV movie about you seems kind of strange. Roles must've been scarce for Sophia.

Not really as Sophia looks very much like her mother and it worked to have younger actress to play her in her early years.
