- We are making final preparations to get our new siding installed on our 100 year old farmhouse!

I love that your little girl was photobombing you at the slider. Too cute. Hills around your house are so pretty. Will look even better when the leaves turn. I miss that. @@Mallard5plus1Farmhouse That's very nice of you, CJ! I so miss the leaves turning in the fall. Our trees mostly don't lose their leaves and turn color in the fall, in the desert. So, I do miss Ohio. And southern Ohio with the hills is way pretty!

Another great video. After all those projects you tackled on your own, I was surprised to hear you say you hired people to install the siding on the house. A well deserved break to be sure! Hoping to see a photo of you on a lounge chair sipping a drink, while watching the siding go up. 📸
Thanks Chris! Yeah I'm tapping out for the siding. That's just a job that has to be done quickly and I don't have the time to do it. Plus the older I get I don't care for heights anymore lol

Glad your new wood burner is working well. Winter hit us this morning, it's 51 and 25 mile an hour north wind. It'll be 85 Sunday!😁

That was a good idea putting a recepticle in the eaves for Christmas lights and security cameras! I'll bet you all will be warm and toasty with those new windows and siding! It's coming along great!

Great video! You’ve really come along way with that old house. You should be proud of what you’ve accomplished. I see you have 2 chimneys and I heard you mention in another video about coal. Have you ever thought about a small coal stove for the shoulder months? Something to take the chill off on the chilly mornings. Anthracite is a very clean burning fuel.
Thanks Dave! Yes I am able to burn coal now in my wood stove. That is where the big chimney is. That smaller chimney is in bad shape in the attic so whenever I get the roof done I'll be knocking it down below the roof line. Thanks for watching Dave!

How exciting that the new wood stove works so great! What a relief.... Sorry about that coffee spill... I always talk with my hands too with the cup in it... you would think I would have learned by now not to do that .... especially at my age!
What type of siding is going on? Is it wood or vinyl? The Amish are hard working people... They do a lot of building and carpenter work around us and it worries me when I hear them go by the house at night... we are in a small town, but once you pass our house... NO more street light...it’s all narrow back roads!
