That looked a wicked roast DJ, i must admit i love spicy Thai food but you always need a break now and then, i always end up treating myself to the occasional roast and when i get a bit of an upset belly i go for Pasta carbonara, nothing wrong with a break from spicy, cheers, keep those vlogs coming.

Hello Darren; just a suggestion for your viewers; since you are in Thailand and the food is cheap; can you go to an Authentic Thai restaurant; that is Really Amazing!!! Maybe a beautiful Thai fish dinner; a bottle of wine; I mean it’s an Island; 🏝️ we need to see some fish!!! And Thai vegetables and dessert!!! Life is Short remember!

I found when I was in Thailand, I ate a lot of ‘western’ food interspersed with some basic Thai dishes. It’s difficult when you’re unsure of dishes & if they are too spicy. I recall a spicy tuna salad that was far too spicy! That all changed when I met a Thai lady. The playbook opened up totally! Except breakfast, which I still prefer ‘western,’ lunch & dinner introduced me to great Thai dishes. Delicious food! Find yourself a real, live Thai food guide! 😀

That slo mo was like Del putting the gravy on Uncle Albert’s dinner DJ. As an ex chef you would appreciate the prep that’s gone into doing a proper Sunday roast with fresh veg and homemade Yorkie pudding instead of the frozen rubbish you get dished up in some UK carveries

Hey Darren yes the Robin Hood is great been there a few times mostly for dinner.i find Pattaya is amazing for International foods some really great restaurants there enjoy it looks like your having a great time
Gravy like me mam used to make it. If you can't stand your spoon up in it then it isn't gravy she used to say, she made it the old way, all the fat and juices from the roast, water from the potatoes, flour, taste and adjust salt and pepper.
I'm Asian American but love all British foods - fish n chips, sausage rolls, fry ups, Sunday Roast, pie n mash with chili vinegar, bangers n mash, kapacasein cheese toastie etc. These are the ultimate comfort foods that you need on a rainy day and to balance out the spicy Thai and Southeast Asian food. Sometimes you just crave that savory, battered, hearty flavor of British food. There's a time and place for every type of cuisine, it doesn't have to compete against each other, but rather it can balance each other out.
I got full up just looking at that massive plate of grub years ago I would have scoffed that down in no time but not now I couldn't manage even half of it !
I fear for some of the reactions on here. Come on mate, they have amazing sea food out there. When I went I was eating grilled lobster with a thai style marinate and unlike in the UK it didn't cost the earth. This is the chance to eat really well and the choice on a Sunday is a Roast. 🤦♂

Definitely not my Pea Soup. Mine is Danish I think. Split Peas, ham, mirepoix, a turnip ,chicken broth ,salt and pepper and marjoram with a condiment of sour cream, a bit of sugar and horseradish. The main course here looks very good, here, plenty of meat, not a load of cheap starch. Robin Hood would definitely eat here. I do miss my mom's Roast Beef with Yorkshire pudding. Americans do Pot Roast more often. Mississippi Pot Roast is all the rage right now.

Two things. Firstly, these videos were filmed several weeks ago and Darren has long since returned to the UK. Secondly, Thailand isn’t an island.
