The 1st glowing rock you found reminds me of something funny that happened to me, in a bar 40 years ago. I saw an orange glowing "diamond" (ha ha) on the dance floor. I bent down, picked it up, stared at it for a few seconds, with excitement, until I realized it was the burning embers of a cigarette butt. Ouch! Your glowing rocks were so cool 😊 I love your adventures & that you are such an awesome dog mom. The devotion between you & Camper is pure love

Camper is such a lucky dog to have been found by Nikki. What a life he gets to live. He doesn't know he lives in a car, he just knows his person is always with him and he gets to sleep near her every night. She made the right decision to keep him, he is her traveling buddy.

In September 1981 I circumnavigated Lake Superior on my motorcycle. Duluth,MN was the starting and ending point. Upper Michigan was very scenic. Every time I stopped for gas a crowd gathered around me. That entire trip was a noteworthy experience. There is good in the world. Sometimes you just have to look to find it. You and Tanner do quite a good job of looking for the good.

My old stomping grounds. I lived in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan most of my adult life. Me and my wife have been in Texas the last 11 years. I plan on full time RVing here in the near future and finally coming back home. I've been nearly everywhere in the U.P. but never Grand Marais. So thanks to you it's on my bucket list. You ought to see the Keewanaw Peninsula of the Upper Peninsula. Sunset Beach, Copper Harbor. A very secluded drive up there.

Lake Superior is my absolute favorite! I adore the rocky shores of the north shore (in Minnesota) and the southern shore. A few years ago we camped at Porcupine Mountains state park, our site was literally about 10 steps from the water. I fell asleep to the sound of the waves every night and brought my chair to the edge of the water first thing in the morning to read for a while as I was always the first one awake.

Will be headed up there next week to mine the beach, and pick wild blueberries. Did you enjoy the straight arrow drive on M28 going to Munising? If you had snorkeling gear and light wetsuit, the pilings of the old lumber dock behind the school are a fun snorkel. Munising Falls and Miner's Castle are fun stops.

Believe it or not, I also used to collect rocks as a kid! I never found a geode in the wild, sadly. And wow, I never heard of glowing rocks before!

Nikki’s videos always brighten up my day if I’ve had a rough one. I just pop one on, let my hair back, and chillax. Thanks for the free therapy via UA-cam, it really helps. Safe travels fellow human! 🌎 ❤️

    Nikki,
Aren't glowy rocks like that generally from outer space and if you crack them some kind of gooey substance crawls out and starts eating people? I've seen the movies on this stuff.

It is a newly discovered mineral affectionately called Yooperlight. I attempted to put a link that gives the actual scientific name.

You are doing so much work, as it appears..! 🥇🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏋️‍♀️🤸‍♀️🤳🤳🤳🤳🤳 Continually positioning your phone or camera to take all your amazing shots of your activities! 💯💯💞 💪 Thank you for taking us along - we look forward to your weekly adventures in interesting places!
Here it is in the middle of summer - in New England, we are having the hottest day temperatures, and the evening temps here are not affording much relief from the day temps! (Low/ mid 90's here 🔥☀️) You are wearing jackets at night!!! (Granted, you're in your camp by the Great Lakes!). Interesting to see the difference!
I'm also wondering what gadget "stove top" you're cooking on?
    Thank you for having us!!!
