I love Iowa 80! The friendliest truckstop out there. Bill Moon, the man responsible for Iowa 80, is a true hero to truckers. The Truck Museum is definitely worth seeing. Chester’s chicken @ the fuel aisle, always available in the refrigerated case, is one of my favorite snacks. Keep up the good work, Nikki.
I’ve been a truck driver since 1994. I drive local now, but spent a few years over the road. Always looked forward to stopping at Iowa 80. One time I stopped and got a haircut at the barber shop. Never visited the dentist office, though. Did enjoy the theater once, as well.

He is such a beautiful, healthy and happy looking dog.
My family used to live just over the border, in a small town in Illinois, and my Dad loved coming to this truck stop. This was 1980's-2010's, before the remodel- it looked very different then it does now. There was (not sure if it's still there; I now live in Texas) a statement over one of the store exits before walking outside: "Smile, the open road is just ahead." My Dad passed away several years ago, and that quote is now on my Dad's memorial bench in our city park.

Me too! I grew up in Milan, Illinois. I’ve never toured the I80 truckstop, only stopped for gas, on numerous occasions! Lol

My Son moved to Iowa Five years ago from Ann Arbor Michigan to W. Des Moines! Now I go there a few times a year! So crazy watching you go from "da U.P." northern Michigan to Iowa!

East bound, I plan on hitting Sidney. Nebraska just before sunset. Spend an hour or so in Cabelas. And the next big stop is Iowa 80. Always seem to leave a bit of green at both places .
When I read your title, I thought that Nikki had traded in her Prius for a Semi truck. LOL but its cool that she can stop by and hang with truckers and get along so well. It just goes to show you that Nikki is a people person and she can make friends with anyone from any walk of life.
I actually saw a semi hauling a massive RV, as the main vehicle. I could tell it was intentional because they had the semi painted to match the RV!
Just stoped there the other day on our way to SD! We slept at the Cracker Barrel a few miles down the road and I woke up and my wife surprised me with telling me about the I80 truck stop! I missed the chiropractor too and really needed it! We were in a little bit of a rush so we skipped the trucker museum but wish we had gone in. I loved how they sold ninja swords too! Surprisingly that was the first truck stop that we found that actually sold road atlases! Had been looking for one along I90 and i80 from NY to there!

Good old Iowa 80. Been there many times. They also have sister locations Joplin 44, Kenly 95 and Oak Grove 70.

After shoulder surfing, while I watched your videos (plus the cost of hotels) my daughter and her friend did a 4-day car camping trip in New England before heading back to school. I built them a platform bed for our 2013 Honda CRV. She is zonked out in her room after just getting back. Eager to hear stories from the road. Thanks for the series and the tips that I was able to pass along to her.
I used to drive to that truckstop on the way to University of Iowa. There were no bathroom stops for a long time in western Illinois. Being a Hawkeye, mom's from Northeast Iowa, there are some beautiful places in Eastern Iowa. Iowa City is a great town, the Upper Iowa River is a wonderful river to kayak or canoe. Moonshine used to be run through the natural tunnel and cave systems near the Mississippi. Buen Camino!

I drove from Illinois to Iowa to visit my grandma every year. This truck stop is a must and the highlight of the drive. The restaurant is so good!

Wow this place is amazing. Cant believe a shower is 15 bucks. You should train camper to "speak" or bark on comand 4 when people are hanging around ur car.its amazing what a bark can do to scare someone. Camper is so smart he'd learn it in 5 mins. Great video u 2. 💏 loved it.

I stop here frequently as it is along one of my regular routes!! Always plenty of parking, and the annual truckers’ jamboree is ALWAYS fun to attend!! Everywhere is so dog friendly. We can take our dog on rest stops at all. We used to have milkmen that delivered milk in an electric van, they were called milk floats in the uk! ❤️🇬🇧
Camper is such a big baby! Love how he wholeheartedly loves & trusts you to hold him and be his person! What a special bond with our pets. We are so blessed by them. 🥰

According to their website, pets are not allowed in the buildings except for licensed service animals. Comfort animals are not allowed.
Very nice. I enjoyed the electric truck information in the museum ! Also you are such a joyful person. You take fantastic car of camper and you give your dog such respect. He behaves so well in that segment. It was very interesting ! My father use to drive cattle. I appreciate truckers. They give us so much. Where would we be without them. Thanks Nikki
Bakersfield has a large truck stop that saved my brother and I one year when we were traveling from LA to Seattle in the summer. It was 109 degrees when we reached Bakersfield so we stayed at that truck stop all day and it was so nice and kept us cool. They had a movie theater and lots of restaurants and just so helpful in keeping us out of the heat. I hadn’t been to very many truck stops so I was very impressed.
How cool you got to visit this place. It is just a few miles from me and I actually just got home from there! I worked there in the restaurant through out hig hschool. I hope you enjoyed your time in Iowa it is truly a great place to visit and live.
I have lived in THIS motorhoe a 40' diesel for over 17 years and this is the third 40' coach I have owned in my life. I have been to the Iowa 80 many times over the years and it is just as described here FANTASTIC!

I use to stop at that truck 🚚 stop. Been awhile since I've seen it. You picked a great place to lay over for the night. There's usually always something to do there. I enjoyed that Nikki, thank you sweetheart for the memories it brought back. I think 🤔 camper was have fun as well, he's a big ol ham. Was you able to talk him into a 🛁. Nikki, my wife I have been following you for a long time. I must say that you are an awesome person, you are always happy and it looks like you and Camper have so much fun together. I used to watch Morgan but, she has dropped off the radar, plus she had so much drama going on. I am sure you have your fare share of drama but you handle it in a most positive way that it very refreshing to see and hear. Keep it going you are amazing.

The door to the trucking museum said "No Pets Allowed Service Animals Only" -- as Nikki was walking in with Camper.

This was really cool and I am definitely going to want to check this out if I am ever in the area. Your video makes me miss great truck stops - I am in Idaho now, and those are far and few between here.
Sadly, a lot of Love's have posted no overnight parking signs in different parts of the country, and they are definitely one of the best out there. Have you noticed that? Love's, cut that out! 😞
