i actually use 3 moves: deflect and attack for 1st and 2nd phase, and mix it up for the lightning reversal with a jump.
That attack has been patched he doesn't use his gun after the jump no more
I played on version 1.06 game of the year edition so I donno how things are for other versions

I did it. sekiro got easier for me. I took the most tries (30) with first general, but with isshin... just 5
