My favourite episode so far...
Good listen, Danny as passionate as always. I don't feel that Aaron and especially Luke were given enough opportunity to express their thought processes in any real depth without interruption. Would be really good to hear this in a follow up podcast.

More podcasts like this please, love the normal guest podcasts, but conversations like this give an even greater insight to people's fishing.
Not a carp angler , but love listening to these podcasts, BUT.. as much as I like Danny, he really needs to learn the art of listening. If he still wants to learn, then listening is the key.
He thinks he's got it nailed down ans has something to say! He definitely has some contradiction in what he says...
could listen to dan forever and i’d never get bored, so much we can learn from all these amazing anglers

You need to understand about Fairbrass...... his way or the highway.. lots of high profile ( for the want of a better term) carp anglers have parted ways with Korda because of him... It’s all about the SELL, SELL, SELL !!!
@@davidhill9375 Yeah, I have heard that said. I just found this very tiresome. He kept saying how keen he was to learn and be constantly taking on board new info... well, he has a far better chance of doing that with his mouth closed. It felt like if what was being said by the guests didn't validate how Dan views things then it wasn't worth listening to.
Simon really makes the korda podcast what it is, I really enjoyed this podcast and it's great to see 4 blokes sat round talking carpy stuff
P45 rig and a solar hook. That will be remembered for a long time, soooo funnnny. Dan's reaction was brilliant and Simon lol (bless him). But at least this podcast shows honestly which gives it a lot of kudos imo. Great show chaps. Looking forward to the next where we all tune in to see if Simon is there 🤣🤣🤣
What a fantastic podcast. One of the reasons I really rate korda. How they give back soo much to the sport. Simon is an excellent host. The only small element I would change. If Danny could just sightly give others the chance to talk. Hopefully they'll get Simon, Danny, Luke, and Aaron back on again 🙏

Be great to see an episode with Danny and the gang taking questions from the general public
I was fishing a syndicate where I couldn't catch a thing on a normal length hook link, changed to a 15" hook link and started getting multiple catches a weekend. Change your presentation to the situation, realised that they were moving from boilie to boilie with no pause. Long link went out with a spread of boilies, job done
Every one of these I watch/listen to I say..best one yet..this one is no exception 😂 can’t wait for the next one to come out

Thought it was a great podcast. It was really intriguing to see how 3 different anglers (and Simon) differ on rigs without products being rammed down our throats. What struck me is it took over 2 hours for anyone to mention a bottom bait rig. I think with everyone casting out pop ups and balanced baits the real edge is to fish one straight out the bag. And on a finishing note Simon is an absolute weapon.

@@Newlyretired I tend to favour bigger baits Steve and I feel the German doesn’t give me enough separation with larger baits. I much prefer a longer hair with a bigger bait.
Gotta say, the beaked vs Straight discussion was good, my preference on a chod is straight, I'm imagining they hook deeper, my concern with a beak is the hook turns in, giving you a shallower penetration, I put my hookpulls down to that after fishing the hooks against each other and having more pulls on the beaked. Interesting re:sharpening as well, I'm going to go back to the skin prick or unsharpened for a bit, as my hookpulls are horrendous this year, and I've only been testing on the nail this year 🤔 cheers gents 👍

I actually think Simon is funny without knowing it, him and Danny make a good pairing.
Try using a spinner swivel rather than a o ring swivel, tying up chod sections using a krimp to form a loop then just loop on section and steam shrink tubing over, then you can pre tie your chod section and just loop it on on to a spinner swivel on your boom 🤯 💥
Probably the best podcast so far just a shame Danny overcuts everyone and don't let them finish there point or sentence.. Good to see the contrast of thoughts discussed between a few top anglers tho 👌
Love the debate about hook sharpness used the early Kaptors really good hook and Kamakura's are the next level my personal opinion on this is I prefer standard out the packet sharpness and strength but I see the relevance for the Kamakura's it's all about personal choice and what your confident with
This format is great, more if this would be great, bit if technical stuff, anecdotes supporting the refinement and experiments.. but do allow the guest to complete the story or point before asking for more information about a secondary aspect. I know Danny was excited to be able to quiz but sometimes he knocked them off the course of the main point they were trying to make..
Overall a great podcast, Luke and Aaron were great guests

I have always been a fan of Dan and wondered why a lot of anglers are so anti Korda. But I must say, I did think Dan was a bit rude in this podcast and kept interrupting Luke and Aaron. I know he is the boss, but they are the guests on the podcast, we want to hear what they have to say.
Best one yet. It was so good I had to watch it on here rather than listen to it.

I really wanna know if any of the coated braids can be krimped I’m not the greatest rig tier so the krimping makes it simple and consistent any ideas???
I use the Kamo braid in pva bags and have done well on it

I love at the end Dan says "Theres still things I wanna ask Luke" however this entire podcast it just seems hes talked over both of their views and opinions, Asking anymore questions would have been pointless really as we wouldnt of even got an answer from them. Just another story from Dan.
Dont get me wrong I could listen to Dan's stories all day long and learn a lot from them, However I feel the lads didnt get anywhere near as much input due to been cut off all the time.

tangles tangles tangles, where has all this come from?? Back in the day we never used to get many tangles and most of the time its when you reel in a braided hooklink and the lead passes back through the hooklink on the bottom as you pick up the rod. If you hit the clip and feel the lead down or stop/feather the lead down it should not tangle. Use braid all the time with 12-14" hooklinks and long hairs, never had a problem, but then dont fish with dinky hookbaits. Kicking a stiff/semi stiff hooklink away restricts the bait movement sooo much??

I met Damien Clark on chillham Mill some years ago. I don't know if it was the wrong time of the month, but have to say he's the rudest angler I have ever had the misfortune of meeting. I think the verbal he used was to make up for the fact he is vertically challenged.
