I saw 5441 in Flagstaff earlier this year. Didn’t even realize it until I looked back at my photo and said “huh, I think I saw this on Ron’s trains n things”
I've tried out a ScaleTrains N scale locomotive before and they were really detailed for the scale, though I like HO scale better. By the way does the N in Ron's Trains N Things stand for N scale?
Can you indicate which Loksound decoder models are in these locos? There are some differences in features with the models themselves and features of the Lokprogrammer depending on 4, 5, Select, etc.
Ron can you add catalog numbers or links to these newest versions so that people will know if they are buying the latest versions? thank you for doing the reviews
I got all 8 of the recent run and man Kato has finally been met with a major competition!!!!! NOTE: Yes, these locomotives are designed to accept a MTL 1015 coupler in the stock coupler box. If you do this, you must flip the coupler lid over to the other side for it to allow the couplers to recenter.
@@richardk5849 I havent complained about either Kato or Scaletrains' running performance so far, but for sure Scaletrains' detail is unbelievable! Cannot wait for next months N Multimax racks!
Nice review Ron! While I don't really do N scale that much, I do have the HO variants of these Dash 9s and they are AWESOME! In fact, on the performance side of this locomotive, they, along with their Tier 4 and ES44 gevos, almost have a ruthless pulling ability, it's insane what they're capable of! By the way, I couldn't help noticing one of those Dash 9s is sporting a Conrail door, and I also saw the real 5441 at Mammoth Spring, AR back in the early spring (a video of it departing King siding is on my UA-cam channel if you want to check it out), it's quite a locomotive and Scaletrains absolutely nailed it!
Just ordered two H.O. diesels myself. A Santa Fe GP40 and a New York Central F7A. I have the same engines as part of vintage 90s train sets from when I was a kid, but wanted more up-to-date models.

Good review. Thanks a lot.
7:56 Did I see a GS&M 2 bay covered hopper...Is that an interchange car from the Gila Springs & Mesquite Transportation Co. ?
Why yes. Yes it is. 👍🏼
Nice units!

Yes
Yes it does.
Awesome locomotive!
Love the Dash 9s!
Ron's trains n things I love watching your videos
I’m not an N scale modeler but I love their HO scale products
Yes indeed. Their commitment to quality is universal.

Loksound 5 micro with full throttle.
Nice loco keep up the good video
How wide do I make an n scale downtown street with wide parking?
In case anyone is wondering, NS 8447 had BNSF 4560's nose door
I wonder why the 2 did a door swap lol was NS really that bored??
@@AbelG8781 Probably 4560 was in some sort of wreck and NS just had its door from a rebuild and BNSF bought it from them
Nice
HELLO RON ITS IS RANDY AND I LIKE U VIDEO IS COOL RON THANKS FRIENDS RANDY SCALE TRAIN N SCALE DASH 9 PRODUCR SPOTLIGHT THANKS FRIENDS RANDY
So if I were tobuy a complete little N scale railroad set as a gift for a friend, what would you recommend? Someone who has zero equipment.
Ron can you add catalog numbers or links to these newest versions so that people will know if they are buying the latest versions? thank you for doing the reviews
I will try to keep that in mind in the future.
Why has Ron hit the pedestrian on the railroad? - Because he had a loco motive xD Thank you man for these cool things
🤣👍🏼
Only is it was a CSX and not a NS with the 8888.

Wow, that's a fleet. 👍🏼👍🏼
@@RonsTrainsNThings I really wish there was a small N scale sized current keeper though, I know those would come in handy!
@@AbelG8781 You are not alone, but I believe that will soon be a feature on some drop-in decoders and tech and miniaturization marches on.
I think Scaletrains has much better detailing but having a number of both brands I think KATO is a better runner.

Nice video like and subscribed from Czech Republic 🙂👍👍👍
Really wish i could but some of these models, but by the time we get the import duty, vat and very high shipping rates they are not worth the costs
