In studying Sikh History, I was fascinated to learn about the different styles of turbans. As well as the fact that during the periods when the Khalsa was persecuted by the Muhgals, that various small weapons were concealed in the folds of the turban.
Turban was actually a strategy found by shri guru gobind singh ji. Wearing 8-9 metres cloth on the head was a strategy to protect their heads in the war. And also various weapons could be put on the turban's folds that stopped the sword from reaching the head.. ☺☺
