    My personal tips to prevent blisters around the heel, ankles and talus area;
    1. Use a quality pair of grip socks. I find the best ones are not from the big brands.
    2. A new pair of boots should fit slighty tight, allow for stretch
    3. Ankle tape, might as well "kill two birds with one stone", not only does it help avoiding hyper extention of the ankle, help give you snugger fit but it will protect your ankle against rubbing. Use the 3 stirrup x heel hook method 👍🏽.

    It’s like you read my mind, my Mizuno elites give me a blister on my right foot and I want to wear them so bad but so far my tiempo 9s are so much more comfortable 😭

    I thought we already knew that the best method of avoiding blisters, is wearing PURE GRIP SOCKS?!?!? Best grip socks in the game!!!

    Midcut boots kill my Achilles, everything I've tried just does not work, I have just stopped buying it. I just have to buy 9.5us to 10us, to reduce chances of blistering. Certain cheap socks are pretty bad, I switched to moisture wicking socks which helped, with added blister protection.

    Can you make a video on the top 10 takedown models. Don’t have the dough to splash on elites 😢

    I prefer a full thumb width of space at the end of my boots such that i can wiggle my toes. I wear boots that are the same as my running shoes. Previously i always wore a size down from my running shoes but i have a wide forefoot so the narrow taper on most boots squashed my forefoot affecting comfort and balance.

    My predator 24 elite just gave me blisters and I search this topic in UA-cam and this video just showed up at the perfect time the same day I got blisters.the iconic look about the predator 24 elite with the tongue got me, but I usually wear mercurial and I think I’m gonna stick with them.

    Hi Josh, some time ago, I bought the NB 442 pros. On paper, it was the perfect boot for me, I even tried more sizes to be sure. They feel nice on feet, but after like 30 minutes of any type of training, i get a nasty blisters in the heel area. I did 6+ light training, I tried the runners loop, the hot water trick, but nothing changed. Is it possible that they were just not meant for me?

      That's what it sounds like unfortunately. The heel liner on those boots, especially being more structured, can sometimes be an issue depending on foot shape. For most people it seems to be a non-issue, but some it just doesn't work.

    I let my dad use my cleats for 3 hours before I wear them. That way I don’t get blisters. Or you can drop them in hot tub of water.

    If your boots are too small a good little hack would be removing the insole (I've tried it with sneakers not boots but should still work) it will reduce the pressure a little bit

      It won't work, you'd be standing on hard plastic

      I feel like some insoles actually prevent them

    • @tommybarnes1997

      Sure. If you don't mind feeling pressure from the studs underneath 🤷‍♂️. I did this with my Phantom GTs which were a size 7 but I really needed them in a 7.5 because I started wearing grip socks and needed to go up 1/2 a size (all my boots since wearing grip socks are now a 7.5). So I took out the insoles for extra room and I could feel all the studs underneath. If I want to wear the Phantoms I have to wear normal football socks and not grip socks.
