This was a better way to put his character to rest. Uldren sov took him too early. This time he went out on his own. He chose to die to let us live. It’s his gift for killing the witness and stoping the final shape. After all we did enter the monolith and deal the blow that led to its retreat

……this is literally the last cut scene in the final shape…..as someone who stopped playing D2 back around forsaken, maybe a little after and someone who no lifed D1, this is the best Destiny has been in a long time and in all honesty hats off to the D2 team for ending it this way.

@@codyjones2940 I mean, very true. Don't get me wrong, the story looks great, and this looks all really freaking well done. Just cayde was my cope character. Going into Destiny 2 and grinding out stuff while hearing his snarky remarks made it feel less like a chore and more like hanging out with a friend

@@ShroobyBunz I totally feel that. As a hunter main he was my absolute favorite. And was honestly what made destiny, well destiny (obviously other than clan mates). I will say he is in a majority of the final shape campaign

@@Shlscar I think it’s the most emotional cutscene we’ve had to date. I think because it’s Cayde and he had a massive impact on fans it makes it even more sad!

@@Amateur_Hour123 i hope ghost maybe brings him back in a way in another season since his light is in ghost. maybe he’ll end up on coms one day but he can’t actually come back. that would be nice hear his humor and voice again for a while, while in battle or fighting.

@@Techhunter_Talon yeah it was a nice little touch, showing the unity, and the fact after everything the cabal “has done” they’re being accepted into communities and are free to co-exist amongst everyone. Hopefully it’s just a random cabal lol!

Great show of unity between humanity and the cabal. We started destiny 2 fighting against the cabal and the red legion. We end it standing with them against a force too strong for us to kill alone.

@@TheTrueBanana I’m the same! They let us have a proper goodbye after the first time he died so I think we should be grateful about that lol! Through good and bad a hunter until the end!! 😬😂

That would have been pretty cool. I think they were trying to give Cayde a “better” end. When foresaken came round it felt like he was taken away from us, he IS my favourite character in the game and I’m glad he got the “death” (i mean he’ll never be really gone) he deserves, with it being on his terms. But as much as id want to see more of cayde it’s nice to see that they’re moving on and how much they’ve put into crow and the development of his character.

IMO, Caydes story is finally wrapped up, forsaken felt like he was dealt a bad hand (which IS in character for him mind you) but it made his death feel like it lacked purpose, but now his story is wrapped up with a satisfying end he was dealt a fresh hand and this time, played his cards right to go out on his own terms, saving our ghost (and lets be honest, by extension, the entire universe since we've saved it countless times now), that was his choice, his play, and tying into the whole guardian afterlife that was introduced, Cayde is at peace once and for all, his loose ends tied, hes free

This is his end. He was wrongly killed by uldren. This was his redemption. He was brought back to help stop the witness and in turn his job was fulfilled. Saving our ghost was his goodbye. His true goodbye

The game as a whole has had its ups and downs! Ive been playing on and off because of this but Iightfall/final shape has pulled me back! Heres to a positive future! And many more adventures!

I wouldn't say "predatory business practices" if you look in a vacuum sure, but compared to like any other successful live service that offers the same level of quality and quantity, Bungie isn't that predatory, people forget that Destniy is Bungies ONLY revenue flow, so the game doesn't have to just sustain itself, it has to sustain Bungie as an entire company, things entirely not Destiny related have to rely on Destiny to bring in money, which is why we should all hope Marathon pops off, because then Bungie can be much more generous

I just preferred the character model and my now wife created the character for me. In d1 most of the hunter armour looked better on female characters. I carried my characters over from that. Plus now we have a voice I think the female voice actor sounds better in most cutscenes than the male so, so I’m glad I didn’t change it. 😂

It plays after you beat the witness in the 12 man mission. you start it by going to the pale heart and selecting the mission next to the raid icon.

I wish I could say it didn’t make me… but it did 😂

I was kinda hoping we wouldn’t have to lose him again so if he became a ghost, that would have been pretty cool! I wouldn’t have said no! 😂

He technically did yall not eat h the cutscene that literally said what comes from the light returns to it? He IS the light now and is always with us just because we cant see or hear him does not mean he sint there

I agree, I’d rather do outlasts than anything else. Just seems faster and there’s always a good flow of zombies to kill

I can’t say I’ve tried it that way, I’ve never even done the tombstone glitch, I’m not going to lie, I would probably forget that I’m doing the tombstone glitch and just exfil like a moron 😂😂

I mean its one of them things, if someone is genuinely struggling to beat a monster that can be caught then i suggest it highly.. BUT you do tend to get more rewards for killing a monster. Either way eventually you'll get the parts you need! happy hunting!
