Hello 👋 Grace. How are you doing? Hope you are fine. I'm Mark Clifford and am from Denver Colorado. Where are you from? You seem like a real country girl
Tina Turner's music was never my thing growing up. But now that i'm older and I see this video of her doing this classic tune with those legs, all in the background, dancing, my god, I got a new respect for this woman. What a performer. ✌️❤️🇨🇦
Name one person who does this kind of magic today...pure of voice, endless energy, natural, uncontrived style and just a band and a mike. Perfection...
Everyone talks about Tina’s dancing (and they should) but that band was tight! They could change chords & tempos on a dime. The dancers were on the beat with every move. That was a tight and well rehearsed unit.
Everybody is NOT able to captivate a crowd like this!! She set the bar to a completely different level and will forever be remembered for her mesmerizing ability to shine through her storms! May the Queen of Rock N' Roll Rest Peacefully.
An older sib & friends saw Ike & Tina open for the Stones at MSG early 70s. They said most opening bands often were politely tolerated. You know...one more pee, get more beer, grab seat. But when Ike & Tina performed, the crowd roared!!! When they finished their set, the crowd roared for an ENCORE!!! Unprecedented! (Or so they say.)
I was eight years old when this song came out. As a teenager it was still popular. We watched it just like this on television in black and white. My brothers were crazy about her especially her legs.
Italians LOVE her. When I was visiting the country last year, literally everywhere I went (cabs, train stations, hotel lobbies, malls, etc.) her music was playing!
Hello 👋 Peggy. How are you doing? Hope you are fine. I'm Mark Clifford and am from Denver Colorado. Where are you from? You seem like a real country girl
Tina Turner in her prime was a goddess of soul with the rock in it, a perfectly controlled storm of emotion, sensuality and music. And she lived it too.
Magnifica!!! There hasn’t been another black female artist that is so rock-N-Roll like the great Tina Turner !! I enjoy her music and the way she feels the music in her body when she sings her songs !!!👍👍👍
What a LADY, I remember way back in 72 I got great tickets to the Newport Jazz Festival and had just listen to the closing act which was Herbie Mann and I thought I had die and gone to heaven and as we were all standing up applauding his encore and getting ready to leave, the announcer said please wait that there was going to be one more act, almost as though it was a kind of an apology, and that this was going to be some kind of Rock-N-Roll not Jazz and right away everyone began booing, he then announced the act was Ike and Tina Turner and you guess it “Proud Mary”. I have never seen or ever will see again a more power, more energy, more fun, more vibration, and more insanity of the audience then that night, that night will live in my memory till the day I die, thank you for taking the time and reading this. Bob
I literally got chills and goosebumps watching this, esp. when they went into the fast portion of the song. I really think this is one of the 10 most important songs of the Rock era in America.
My mother and father saw them backing up the Rolling Stones in Bristol England . The sound system failed and nobody could hear the Stones .Ike andTina came on and their voices were so powerful that everybody head them .Fantastic
I'm so sad. Tina we love you. An amazing woman who was rejected by her parents, picked cotton, one of her sisters died with her cousin in a car crash, decades of abuse with Ike, left without a penny and became a superstar. Tina you will never be forgetten ever we love you RIP my love !!
Great song! Tina had the best legs ever. And all the dancers with her - I can't imagine modern dancers having this much energy to sing & shake & move that much on stage.
They have the energy to dance. They just don’t do it live. They charge $200.00 per ticket for fans to each them gyrate half naked in stage to prerecorded vocals and sometimes prerecorded music.
She was just so different than any other Woman performer.. especially during this time when it was all about grace and elegance..she was just raw and broke the mold.
This woman went thur hell with Ike Turner. I've watch her movie about her life over and over. So glad she left him. All those beating . How could she put up with all those beating. She is a pretty lady. She is a star. Ike Turner was so jealous. But Tina was his pay check. He went down when she left his ass.
@@chrisberry7547 Yes Ike was a complete degenerate, jealous prick of a man, but he made Tina what she is.. He was a multi instrumentalist, fantastic writer and producer.
