Seeing them at Epicenter Fest in September, I am so excited, Last time I saw them was the "Fall Brawl Tour" in '05 with Taproot POD and Flyleaf.
Would have loved to have been there. I've just checked out the full line-up for rock on the range and wish they'd done a uk date. Staind, disturbed, alter bridge, korn, seether, P.O.D.... ah well seeing staind in London next month and I'm dead excited I tell thee
@TurboMan12121212 Fuck yeah it was. I was maybe 40 feet from the stage.... Words can not even say how crazy fucked up insane it was down there.... It was one of the best concerst i have EVER been to
@lambchop4545 yeah theyre very underrated yet many people know their songs just not the band, i love especially aaron lewis hes such a musician, songwriter and has a great voice.

1) Nu-metal would be done right again
2) In 2011, Staind might have an album of the year.

@lambchop4545 Aaron Lewis stated in an interview that everything on this album was heavier than the last few. I'm sure there will be a few that aren't so heavy, but I think we are in for a treat.

I think their newest album is their best work yet. It's the best mix of heavy and good vocal melody. Everyone is so connected to the past. Here's an idea: try embracing the new!!!

Aaron Lewis is definitely one of the few rock front men today who can live up to their studio recordings.
@0nisful From what I have heard from their new album they do seem to have gone back to the "heavy/powerful" music they made in the beginning of their music career. I do like what I have heard so far. I do agree with you about how expecting a band to sound a certain way could make a band sound "stale", but good music is good whether it meets your expectation or not.

It's Will Hunt(Evanescence, Device, Skrape, Dark New Day), this was the only show they played with him as Wysocki was announced as leaving the morning of the festival

Well, technically Tormented and Dysfunction were Nu-Metal. Some of the best Nu-Metal to be heard. But after that, no not really Nu-Metal.
@lambchop4545 I disagree, Staind was great when they first came out, but now they have mellowed out and become over-rated. Mike Mushok was once a great and heavy guitar player, now he flat out sucks. He looks like he is really playing hard on stage, but isn't really doing anything. Aaron sounds nice and writes great lyrics, that is what has kept the band alive. They became popular just like every other rock band that came out in the early 2000's, but their music has become stale.
nu-metal? you're not really trying to call staind nu-metal

yea, but no. they're like maybe metal...maybe. i might even say they're hard rock. korn is what's considered nu metal. staind is not.
this is not Nu-metal kid. Far from it.
