Hard to believe Davy was about to leave us but there is an interesting story I read about how his wife's boyfriend worked with medical supplies and it's suspected he was deliberately given some kind of drug that caused a heart attack. I have no idea if that's true but his wife sure seems like the gold digger type.

A piece of junk song, written in the car by Boyce and Hart during a twenty minute drive to the studio because they had to have a song with a girl's name in the title. The song is mostly filled with guitar licks because they needed to fill the empty gaps. If this was sung by a less famous group it wouldn't have been as much of a hit.

They changed the mood of the song into a triumphant march. In the TV show, Mickey played drums. He wanted to totally disregard that character here. Mike Nesmith could never play this lead solo. At least this guy could play it.
