Everyone talks about chuck Paul and Sean during the human era but why doesn’t nobody talk about Scott? He was and is a damn good bassist he plays Steves parts so accurate and faithful to the tracks and his three picking fingers techniques if fast as hell!
Nice to hear how Sean Reinert took Within the Mind to another level with his drumming. Paul's solo then is impressive too, although James Murphy's original solo is super legendary.
no he didnt, I find his rendition to substract from the overal song rather than add. He adds patterns to it that are very similar across many of his renditions of the older songs, it's very distracting.
They were so much better than their peers. It’s insane. So many influences. Their stuff is Eastern, traditional metal, and even swings sometimes. So sad we lost Chuck so young.
@@tonysimmons5729 1. I am listening and 2. You could easily leave a time stamp to an example of something that sounds like swing to you. I just think that whenever metal fans try to say something sounds like jazz or swing they are totally wrong. You hear that about Megadeth's Peace Sells all the time and it really doesn't sound jazzy at all...It's just obvious to me that people who say that don't actually listen to or have any experience playing jazz.
@@maxdurk4624 Well “I think” statements aren’t what decides what a piece of music or a section is doing but you are free to have your OPINION. You’re not even feeling when you listen. Swing isn’t just a mode or a time change or a meter change, it’s a movement you feel within the pattern. Don’t put too much weight on the academia of Jazz. A lot of music swings. It’s a lot more prevalent than you might want it to be in a lot of different musical genres and pieces of music. Now, run along and start listening with your heart rather than with your Jazz schooling or whatever it is your not effectively communicating. Shew...
hmm idk if its just because two members of Cynic are playing the song, but it just came to my attention how eerly similar the rhythm guitar line is at 7:58 to the intro to Veil of Maya. Within the Mind is one of my favorite Death songs tho, and Sean's spin on the drum part does kinda throw me off.
I'm glad that Deatrh left such an huge amount of video material, so i can look at it and think "Man, i fucking suck!". LOL
the sound quality in this is still better than 90% live concert vids on UA-cam even with better technology.
True must of been a good Video Camera at the time :)
just imagine walking past the window to the rehersal room-i would stand outside all day listening to this awesomeness.
gotta love Chuck's shorts :D

Lol, I would love for you to show me somewhere where this sounds anything like swing
@@maxdurk4624 I can’t “show you” and you’re not really listening. I was the same way as a kid.

he is showing it to masvidal not scott

😎
Did they actually end up playing Within the Mind on that tour? And why was Chuck showing Skott the bridge to Living Monstrosity? Did they play that?
he's not steve DiGiorgio!!!
Nope, I'm just me.
Nope, Is Scott Carino. is the best.
Besides Chuck, who are the other musicians?
Scott Carino - Bass
Sean Reinert - Drum
Paul Masvidal - Guitar
1:10 Did he eat his booger?
Yes, is there a problem?
@:D finger lickin' good
Sean was certainly a great drummer, but why spoil Bill's parts like that? Songs are losing their natural grooves
yea he did this with all the old material. Annoying to say the least, he's overrated sorry to say it.
Carai essa intro de Lack fez meu boga piscar
krl brasil aqui
Anyone knows the cast?
Thats because he's Steve Digiorgio, best bass player ever born
Scott Carino, sir
lol
don't like the twist reinert gave to the Within the mind druming...
not just that album, also Leprosy he made the drumming parts too complicated it doesnt fit the style

Okay, cool. That's not at all vague and totally explains why you don't like the dude's drumming.
