    That external tank is nice! It's super easy to keep it clean. It's also nice for small stations with a cabinet above the machine, getting in the way of filling a internal tank.

    I love the design, stainless steel boilers, and specially the idea of having a steam lever!... But I can't understand the reasoning behind making it electronic instead of a real steam lever. It's basically a fancy button 😂 oh! And the beep 😐 like... Why?

    So a bit like a Breville Dual Boiler, but twice the price and half as good at what it does. Lots of potential in this machine, but it just lacks a few things for my liking such as a longer pre-infusion, volumetric shot control and a more elegant external tank design (the idea is ok, but the execution is average).

    • @dipaccicoffeecompany1496

      Unfortunately The breville dual boiler comes nowhere near this machine and is no way comparable

    • @simply_psi
      @simply_psi 3 роки тому +5

      I think you'll find the difference is in build quality and materials used, this will probably outlast 2 Breville machines, and the quality of the coffee produced by keeing much more consistent in the temp and pressure control.

    • @kaypee1972
      @kaypee1972 2 роки тому +1

      Twice the price of the Breville? In which country? In Germany this most likely the cheapest dual boiler and I think it can also outperform the direct competition, the Profitec 300 (both being designed in / the neighborhood of Heidelberg). Breville will never come close to this quality wise. But wonder how the pre infusion with a vibration pump works as it eventually builds up the pressure. I would think for a real pre infusion it’ll need a rotary pump with plumbed water connection.

      @@kaypee1972 to be fair it's less than double the price if you compare recommended retail prices in Australia which are - $3140 for the Bellona and $1999 for the Breville Dual Boiler. However you can usually find the Breville for under $1200 and often under $1000 whereas the reduced price being offered for the Bellona at the moment is $2840. So if you consider real world prices then it's more than double. Id be interested to know what makes you think the Breville is lower quality? Do you own a Breville? The Bellezza has a nicer finished, but as they are both made in China I'm guessing that many of the parts would be similar if not exactly the same. After owning a number of Italian espresso machines I now own a Breville Dual Boiler, and while I agree it's not as pretty it outperforms all other machines I've owned. I clean it and maintain it properly myself and have done some basic mods to improve it's capability. It's definitely possible to get a better machine, but to get better features along with improved build I'd be needing to spend well over $5000 on something like a Rocket R NINE1, VA Eagle One or DE1 Pro. Even if I could afford one of those machines I simply don't need to throw that sort of money away.

      @@leroythecoffeegeek4611 sorry, I didn’t mean to talk bad about your machine. Obviously I haven’t done my homework well enough before posting the comment.
      I must admit, haven’t seen any of the 2 machines live! I’ve only seen other Breville (which actually goes by the name of Sage in Germany & some other countries). Those were rather cheap, not too good machines mainly with theromoblocks which were not temperature stable, smaller portafilter with very thin material, …
      Just now, I checked some sites and specs of the Breville / Sage dual boiler and must admit, besides the looks, which is not mine, it seems like a really good machine, with standard 58 mm portafilter and even 2 SS boilers! And the prices amazed me: recommended retail for the Sage and the Bellezza in Germany is the same: 1299€ which is like 2100AUS$. Standard price for the Breville / Sage is approx. 1000€.
      But I’ve seen the Sage dual also for as low as 600€, which is around 1000$. Didn’t even know you can get that cheap dual boilers in Germany…
      And the more I look at both machines and the features, I need to admit that the Bellezza has probably copied some from the Breville. Maybe giving it a nicer German & Italian touch. So to sum it up, I was a little biased from other Breville/ Sage machines I have seen and maybe blinded by the (for me) much nicer looks of the Bellezza.
      And actually I’ve no idea how well any of the two machines is in real …
      Wow, cannot remember when was last time I was that self-critical :-)
      Hope you’ll enjoy your machine & coffee for a long time!

      I'm a huge fan of Rancilio. Have one myself - their not faultless, but are very reliable for brewing great coffee, and stand the test of time. I think it's just the aesthetics that put people of them. Bellezza, I would rate highly as well, ofc with the Italian styling E61 machine. There's more you can do with aftermarkets additions to the grouphead etc on the Belleza. But I would probably go the Rancilio still

    So what is the advantage having external tank vs integrated? Also uou made point that its not using copper or other alloy,is that good thing? Just trying to determine if it's worth buying

    • @AlternativeBrewing
      @AlternativeBrewing  2 роки тому +2

      The biggest advantage is the ability to see it clearly, and keep it clean. It is glass mind you ... otherwise it works exactly like any other water tank. Stainless Steel generally is now the preferred choice for use in newer Espresso Machines. Though copper is still often used in the boiler for its ideal thermal properties - some consumers prefer stainless steel though, out of concern for leaching chemicals.

    • @tomasracinsky3150
      @tomasracinsky3150 Рік тому

      mostly because its so easy to pull out completely, clean thoroughly and put fresh water in there. Gaggia and Lelit have really horrendous water tanks, as its just plastic tank with tubes in it (that will drip water when manipulating) and often you have to pull out the plastic tank completely, meaning you cant have the coffee machine on counter

  • @alarcilam
    @alarcilam 3 роки тому

    I know you clarified here but I hate when descriptions in the web page don’t match the actual product. Both the distributors (diccapi) and your site suggests this is a volumetric machine but it is not. It is time based. I was about to pull the trigger just because of that as I really love volumetric.

    • @dipaccicoffeecompany1496
      @dipaccicoffeecompany1496 3 роки тому +2

      It is a volumetric coffee machine
      Volumetric means you set a time for how much coffee comes out of the group.
      The end result will also depend on your grind obviously
      Most cafe machines are volumetric the same as the Bellona
      I hope that clarifies your confusion

    • @dipaccicoffeecompany1496
      @dipaccicoffeecompany1496 3 роки тому

      Yep That’s correct that’s what this does
      You can program the volume by time and volume but your grind will affect it like any volumetric machine in the world

    • @AlternativeBrewing
      @AlternativeBrewing  3 роки тому +3

      @alarcilam ... Di Pacci are correct in saying this is a volumetric machine - and 95% of Espresso Machines that are volumetric, commercial or home, use a similar time based delivery.
      I believe you're after an Espresso Machine that'll brew out, let's say 40mls every time regardless of the grind size correct? These machines exist, but rely on a number of technologies, a rotary pump and to my knowledge, are very expensive and are more common, whilst still be very few and far between, in commercial machines. - AND are still some what reliant on grind size - as if you place really coarse coffee in a portafilter and brew - the machine is not capable of stopping the shot in 5-10sec, recognising 40mls has been brewed so quickly.. so it's still a very ballpark tech that gets you close to consistency, but you still require to have inputs in the grind size and dose.

    • @alarcilam
      @alarcilam 3 роки тому

      @@AlternativeBrewing 100%. Didn’t want to get into arguments but that is the correct answer. Some home machines do offer volumetric like the Vivaldies and appliances from Breville although they don’t do a great job of it. I happens to have a breville Bambino machine for my wife to use that surprisingly delivers the same amount of volume every shot +- 0.5 ml. and I am quiet surprised there for a home appliance. Yes grind and technique affects the delivery but if you are consistent I normally get the same or close amount of liquid and can rely less on scales. Time also gets close if you are correct and that’s +-2 seconds when everything is all right.
