It is weird that the artbook is softcover when the P5 and P5R collectors editions have hardcover ones but the soundtrack that comes with the Aigis edition is waaaaay better than the P5 ones so I feel like it kinda makes up for it
Just canceled mine. The figure is smaller than the standard for 50 usd figures, plus the paintjob is meh. The artbook is nothing like the P5R one. The ost package is mediocre at best and, of course, no steelbook.

This my first time being here any earlier than 5+ hours after. Lol.
Having the soundtrack CD come in a paper slipcover and not a proper jewel case is really annoying. The fact that it doesn't fit the form factor of other CDs (so it'll look out of place on a shelf) is even worse. Including the soundtrack is a great selling point for the collectors edition but the fact that it won't fit on my CD shelf is infuriating.
I have 2 versions of the collectors edition coming to me so I'm gonna see if I can modify the CD slip cover to go on a proper CD Case because they did the same for royal and it's so annoying because they easily slip out

Tbh, i think the P5R mini OST came in a paper slip, as well as my Skyrim and another one i bought (I can't remember which game). So it's not uncommon. But the prize for the Aigis ed. was still bonkers. The posture of the figurine looks kind of odd (but I think the paint job is ok). All in all, I'm glad I didn't get that version.

after listening to the pre-release OST snippits I got so drawn in by the OST alone i pre-ordered the xbox collectors edition, it wont come in until the day AFTER release but I've got the game pre-installed on gamepass and i plan to grab the digital premium edition later today on steam too for digital versions of the goodies

They will probably make a fat 300+ page artbook thats hardcover for $30-40 down the road, save for that
I know it’s been a few months but I’m still pretty mad they changed the box design from the limited box in Japan. I like that art a lot better and it was what was initially shown when I preordered. I would’ve probably bought it either way but I definitely would have considered buying the Japanese version instead if I knew they were going to change it to this design.

I'm European as well and somehow had the opposite, with my copy arriving two days before release. Guess sometimes sloppiness on the retailers part can work out alright

My collectors edition arrives tomorrow. I’m a bit disappointing that the art book isn’t a hardback like with the Japanese one, but the shipping prices were too much for me to try and get the Japanese one.

Looks like I made a good call not preordering, Aigis' hair is the usual yellow rather than pastel like in the promo pics, which was what I liked the most in this figure ;w; Plus she's so tiny and her eyes are a bit too big... She is still cute though, so I would like to grab her if I ever find her for cheap.
I wonder how her aftermarket will be, it's just a $25 SEGA prize figure and Aigis isn't usually expensive due to the amount of figures she has, but she's from a collectors edition, so...

Unfortunately I did not pre-order the Aigis Edition! I plan to pick up a copy secondhand in the future. There not being a Steam version was my biggest reason for not getting one, because elsewise I would've got it in a heartbeat. The statue looks incredible!
I also love that there's lyrics included with the sound track. No more second guessing lyrics! Hopefully that's included in the digital editions too.

Thank you for uploading this unboxing! I think I’ll be canceling my CE preorder and just pick up the standard edition since imo this isn’t worth $200. P5R CE (PS4) was $90 and you got more or less the equivalent here plus a steel book.
Exactly, if we keep buying everything they throw at us, this is the result. All the P5 collectors are way better than this. And those were sold below 100$/€.
No steelbook, a softcover 40 pages artbook and a 20$/€ figure. The good smile company is making a better aegis for 40$ already, there is no way to waste money here.

I'm glad I ended up going for the Japanese edition of this and separately bought the english standard copy. The Aigis statue that inflates the price of it looks like it should cost 20 dollars, and when I can get the other two (shipping incl.) for the same combined price, it seems a better option for me.

From the price and trailer of the figure. I was expecting a cheap scale or something similar. Not a small cheaply made prize figure. Idk if its worth the $200, and I am a big persona fan.
Let me start by saying I'm very happy for you, Faz. These collector's editions can be hard to get so I'm happy for all that was able to snag one. That being said, this one isn't for me. For me personally, the biggest draw are the DLC packs. I do like having Personas from other games to include in my protag's 'Persona collection'. They also tend to be quite powerful which is nice as well. I can't get too excited by much else included in this set. I feel a better option would have been the inclusion of a steel book instead of the figure, which would have lowered the cost. For those who wanted this set for the figure alone, I suggest doing a search for the Pop Up Parade Aigis figure by Good Smile Company. It's only $40 and look much better than the one included here. Happy gaming everyone!

ngl, I only wanted this for the artbook. All I care from special editions anymore is artbooks and steelbooks. Though, Persona collector's editions usually go in with useful accessories, I still use the bag from 5, so I was surprised to see how this one was pretty lacking. Think I'll just grab the artbook off ebay or something

There is quite the big difference with the western and east Asia version for the Aigis CE
The western has a soft cover for both the soundtrack and art book but for the East Asian version it’s a hard case soundtrack and art book

I love this game but now I’m debating whether to return it in exchange for the standard edition because it seems like it’s definitely not worth the $220 I paid for it 😭. I’ll just wait for the April soundtrack release.

I love Persona 3, but, geeez, after watching this unboxing, I canceled my pre-order for the collector. It is not worth $200 plus taxes; this figure paint job looks cheap, and statue tiny in size too to add salt into the wound. Gonna get the standard edition instead.

I think the US is going to be hardcover. For whatever reason, other regions get softcovers in a lot of CE but US gets hardcover. Similar to the FE: Engage CE

The last time i ordered a collector edition was phnatom thief edition at the time i was able to get it for around $80.
As much as i want to get more collection editions they are too expensive for me.

I understand many don't find the Aigis figurine justifies the price tag, at the very list it's not a Jashin (Vile God) statue like KOSMOS of Xenosaga 2 😂
I did buy it on ps5 solely because i wanted a physical copy of the soundtrack and not a fucking app like on PC. I got baited once with strikers (expected a download code)
Regret it so much that I didn’t preorder it. I have the digital edition but man seeing this I regret it so much. I rarely buy special editions, but should’ve 100% done it for Persona 3.

The Aigis figure itself looks.... ok-ish, but not nearly detailed enough for the asking price.
Tbh the thing that surprised me the most with this CE (and the game's release altogether) was the lack of steelbook. Persona 5 vanilla had a steelbook release, and hell, even BOTH versions of Royal (PS4 and PS5) had steelbooks. With how near and dear this particular game is to a lot of people, it does feel like it could have gotten more love.
I love Persona and Atlus, but they need to step up their game on their deluxe editions. I wasn’t impressed with the Joker Mask either

Aigis figurine looks cheap. It doesnt look like its worth the amount paid. Luckily I bought the other collectors edition that comes with the armsleeve. Also, as part of pre-order bonus, I will also get a cup sleeve with SEES on it

These persona collector editions keep getting more and more expensive but the contents are still lackluster. I have all of the previous collector editions but really don't feel like getting ripped off by this. Maybe I'll just get the cheaper asian version that comes with the armband.
