Capacity for lust and presence of genitalia, not to mention the eventual appearance of nephilim would seem to be a valid reason for marriage. On the other hand outside of rape (see Sabines) and, again, nephilim) there would seem to be no need for marriage. We never hear of angels going into therapy. However, wouldn’t well hitched angels be an encouragement for lupine-like fidelity? We can surmise that period of androgynous Angel iconography might be hinting at either some lack of any clear m/f distinct Or (most likely) these appearances among humanity required a Lack of such a visibly polar potential for what is among humans a never ending need for, well, therapy.

Same. Like, I have the belief that _something_ is out there with the inability to put it into words on what “it” even is whether it be spiritual, scientific, whatever, but don’t follow any set religion. I can’t prove anything either way, so I’m just right down the middle on it all, but have always had an interest in how the Bible talked about angels when we compare it to the modern view.
I’ve had conversations with Christians (casual followers, I should note) where I ask them what they picture in their mind when they think of an angel, and it’s always the Michelangelo-styled imagery with the Sistine Chapel or something like Raphael’s painting of The Sistine Madonna with the two small angels depicted as children- always very soft, innocent, and having human features, never anything extraordinary outside of having wings.
I always thought that was wild how mere historical paintings have helped shape modern views on what an angel is described as being - enough to where it is put in numerous decor within the church nowadays, but you’ll never see the otherworldly appearances despite the descriptions being in the book they read from. I know it’s to make it more palatable and easier to understand for most, but still … a lot of people out there that have no idea they’re not actually said to be portrayed that way.
Thank goodness for channels like this, though, trying to break down everything with an unbiased view (well, as unbiased as it can be). Hopefully many will walk away from it learning something new and viewing even something like angels differently.
@@TwoBs Oh yes, definitely! The reason why I spent most of my life thinking angels are just human+wings is the figurines my grandma had! Mostly those baby ones lol. I also agree, channels like these are a blessing, because I adore mythology and learning about christian lore like this made me appreciate it a whole lot more.
I wish they would talk about these parts of the bible more in school (Here in Germany we have religion classes and at least during my time it focused heavily on Jesus' life).

Man, there is something inherently interesting about angelic mythology even if you aren't religious. It is just so captivating and mysterious that it leaves me hungry to have my thoughts and questions to be answered
The angels being "full of eyes" makes alot of sense to me after thinking on it. Its so they have more means to witness the glory of god. Its only disturbing to us because our minds twist and warp such things. But picturing those many eyes transfixxed and full of light and love is quite beautiful. Like a mirror of glittering stars . I can only grasp at the gist of it since my mortal mind can only comprehend a piece of whats beyond. But in the image I see through the keyhole of the door to god, I see beauty beyond comprehension

5:00 i think the main reason why the "Do not fear" is the first message, is because according to many experiencers, the sheer energy and power that you feel when in the presence of one of these entities, makes every atom in your body vibrate, makes you think you're about to be incinerated alive just from the sheer brightness and power.
So its just a natural instinctual reaction, from our human side, that needs some reassurance.
Like when you stand near a transformer with an enormous current. You feel the vibration.

Oh that's true, though even with my love and fascination for monsters and terrifying being with millions of eyes i think i'd flip the hell out if i saw one in person regardless LOL. It's kinda like i love lions, but if i encountered one I think it's pretty logical to assume i'm gonna get eaten... (even if i know by researchers that lions stalk a specific way so if you disrupt them by unexpectedly running towards them they run away, but i'd still be too scared to lol)

It's not that hard. In fact the only difficult aspect is the refusal of people to accept how simple it all is. I don't know if this Mr Mythos is playing stupid or not. I imagine he is. A wheel within a wheel is a planet and it's moon. Not an alien in a ufo. The entire Bible is lifted from previous astrological stories. Fallen angels are comets, asteroids, meteoroids. The candles of the menorah are the planets. The angels wings are the light rays depicted behind the head of religious figures. The tetramorph references constellations in the mazzaroth. It's common knowledge the creators of religion learnt from astrology. It's common knowledge that Sirius is the christ and Helios is the antichrist. The magic square of the sun totals 666. Let's not pretend Christianity was the first religion. The Greek and Roman gods are well known as planets. They are not multi dimensional beings. Serpents are sine wave function of orbits, studies over thousands and thousands of years. This is all common knowledge. Priests and magi do not believe what they teach. They see you as dumb savages. And honestly if you hadn't figured it out, that fighting for God is fighting for the input signal causing the vibrations of the big bang, they may be right.

The only reason people say that is because they have the same content, doesn't mean they're both COPIED from Mark.
There are a lot of different reasons as to why they share content, another explanation is that Mark copied from the two and wrote down what they shared.
Wanna know why people insist Mark came first? Because Mark predicted the Temple would be destroyed, so by having it be the first of the gospels "critics" get to insist that they were written "decades" later.

Saraphim is referred to as being "the burning ones," or "flying serpents," with six "wings" that can handle hot coals without being burned but instead cleanse others, their description reminds me, ironically, of a "silver haired" young girl who survived a burning funeral pyer to wake up holding three dragons that used their wings to cover her perfectly and then go on to help her free slaves and break the wheel of slavery, yadda, yadda, yadda... *cough*Daenerys*cough*Targaryen*cough* 🤣 George R.R. I love the idea of how it went before they adapted the "Do not be afraid" mantra.
I had an idea. Maybe cherubim can separate into 4 entities. The human, lion, calf, and eagle parts could split apart and Revelations saw the aftermath of that. And that maybe each wing on a full cherub could each split into 2 plus an extra pair so theres 8 wings. This really adds to the absurdity of angels
While the Bible is bafflingly deep and can become confusing, what is more stunning is that many verses have double or even triple meanings. But I find many reasons why we become confused is literally that the answer is lost in translation. Getting your hands on a Bible that has the English translation on one side and the exact Greek and Hebrew translation on the other, really helped me out. Regarding the puzzling aspect of an angel being held captive, the Greek and Hebrew word for that may be subdued or overpowered, which changes the context of the verse drastically. Furthermore when considering the 'Prince of Persia' and the 'king of Persia' those are actually referring to the chief demon in charge of that area. In the book of revelation it states that the King of the North will wage war in the end times, however since monarchies are extinct in the northern territories of earth, this is also mentioning a very powerful demon or fallen angel. Remember, that these diabolical entities are also kings of the four cardinal directions as well. So this angel was fighting with a demon that may have been far stronger than he, so he had to call on a stronger angel to back him up. He fought bravely even though he was outmatched though. It's frightening to think what wicked spirit is in control of the country or general cardinal direction, that we all reside. Hope this helps! And again, another amazing deep dive, Mr. Mythos.

I love the clarification of 'obsessive detail' bc it truly hits my neurological system in an "alignment with all that's bizarre " aaannnd idk It makes me feel 1) less alone, 2) bittersweet someone gets like that in their own life 3) the amount of honesty thru vulnerable admittance of being in fatuation with special topics.

Very intriguing perfectly placed unveiling to a lot of thinking about surface communications previously understood by a mind such as mind I use for choices to be friendly toward what and how my meaning is felt and known. Lack of knowing is only not known yet. So slowing down my figure out normally time of 0.2 seconds or thinking at o dark thirty in the mornings I am on the verge of solving a mystery that has me perplexed all before my best friend has the alarm ring each morning it isn't all figured out yet, I can remember breakfast and look for a waffle house or IHOP possibly. If not, there are plenty of options available for the rest of the day to prioritize starting with a full stomach. The temptation to get to close to the hot meal person or restaurant in my most vulnerable way that excites my mind. I will more than ever after keep on talking to much and ask questions or make comments on things I only hope I am correct. The sudden caloric boost and hot food faster digestion and abosorbation rate with possible caffeine from coffee gives about thirty five minutes of no surrender. Gradually slowing by the caffeine let down and extra strain by digestion on surplus energies gaining a priority on keeping a quick nap from my mind. In the meantime as I jump subjects and topics never missing a beat to my understanding gives me a way to stay engaged with the point hoped to be exchanged between my other half perpetual gigantic simple best friend who should always remember as much as possible. There always comes a moment in time that I will talk about it again like it was on the tip of her tongue and engrained in the mind. Technically, I bring a lot to include or exclude on the topic whatever that might be at all times. The progress in me includes though leaving the eight wonders of the world finished by The appearance of Andre the Giant at wrestlemainia in my prime days of keeping up with wwf and nwa organizations and news about the next heel getting a bruised by saying my prayers, taking vitamins, and never giving up on the good guy best felt time. New intrest has been very popular for me to ponder, even though risking another friend or family member having me talk and not truly them wakes up a littoral action when possible to start the driving out attempts. So at best I am perfectly for someone and ingettable if inconsistent learning my understanding of things associated with as meaning deeper than all lakes and rivers this side of the Mississippi River. Guam? Notreal sure yet, but I will get back to you on that. Any case, wear a life vest around any water way I am not with you. Lol seriously though.
Isn't the "Prince of the Persian Kingdom" interpreted as a fallen angel that somehow had (spiritual) dominion over Persia? If so, it kinda makes sense how an angel, a lesser one at that, can be imprisoned by another spiritual entity like that.
If it's not too much trouble to ask, could you provide any resources where I can read about this Prince of Persian Kingdom? Google search is only directing me towards the video game franchise of a similar title.

Whether you're religious or not. I truly believe people back then experienced something. I don't know what. Maybe it's exaggerated. But I believe there is something odd out there. I don't believe our world is as boring as many like to make it out as. I've had some pretty weird experiences I can't explain in my life that sorta shifted my view on everything. I may not be "religious", but I do think the world we live in has something going on that we as humans either can't understand or maybe never will.

This is so awesome. I’ve always thought the true appearance of angels and their nature is so interesting. Not even religious at all, but the idea of the creator and the beings closest to our creator being a little unfathomable to our human eyes and brains has always sounded more “right” to me than them just looking like people in tunics. Also I think it’s fascinating that accross many OG faiths the idea of winged people, fire, and good, are commonly shared.

Edit: About the "King of Persia" comment. This is the first time I've heard "King of Persia." More often than not, I've heard "Prince of Persia." While it may seem like a downgrade, the "Prince of Persia" could also be a demon - or fallen angel - that resisted a being of roughly equal (if not greater, due to the fact that the angel in question was a messenger angel, not a warrior) power. If the "Prince of Persia" is a demon, than it makes more sense for them to have detained the messenger, and it helps better justify calling in THE Warrior Angel as backup.

Maybe it has been mentioned already, but I think that the Angel, assigned to the king of Persia, wasn't actually imprisoned, rather because he couldn't fulfil his mission, (the king resisted for 21 days) so he ended up somehow stuck there, unable to finish his mission and unable to return without finishing it. That's where the Archangel Michael came to save the day, allowing things to move on God's desired way. Great analysis by the way.

The “flying serpent” translation is actually interesting to me. The meaning behind it can be multi-faceted, like the angels themselves. On one hand, it may be context sensitive. It could be referring to snake venom “burning” one from the inside, but it doesn’t really explain the flying part. It could be metaphorical too, such as the light and fire of the Seraphim burn, like that of snake venom, too. Both similar, again with or without context. Or - and this one is probably as silly as it sounds, but I like saying it anyway - seraph… may have alternate form. The form of dragons. After all, dragons we know can fly and breath fire. So imagine this many winged Angel unfolding its wings, and the next thing you see is a terrifying reptilian monster scorching the earth to glass. Wild, no?

The book of Urantia has the best explanation of Angelic beings that I've seen so far.
I've had encounters with beings that I cannot explain and have broken it down by, not by what they look like but by how I feel when by them.
Aliens (with some looking completely human) mostly give off nothing, except the ones that move like an insect. They had that demonic shit your pants feeling.
Demons are completely terrifying. You don't have to be close to feel how unnatural they feel. Absolutely horrible.
Angels (even the bizarre ones) give off a feeling of complete peace and love. Some seem to give of rays of light that are like a drug, putting you to sleep.

Thanks for your research ,one of my favorite lines as a kid was Lavar Burton's " you don't have to take my word for it" as he would then have a kid like myself explain a book they had read. So I urge everyone to always do research for yourself as you will get more gratification from it as it becomes almost a journey to seek knowledge. But I still humbly thank Mr Mythos for his outlook and his videos on these rare subjects. I am a believer in all walks of spiritually I grew up in the bible and going to many services that studied it ,lost my heart and eventually came back to it's teaching. I may or may not be misinterpreting this, but the verbatim description of cherubim describes it as "four faces flashing by like lighting" which makes me feel as though they are not all visible at all times, but perpetually shifting features, possibly of multiple faces at once, snapping in and out of view.

Really love the tone of this one. I feel like this is such a great take on the subject, it almost has a Lovecraft kind of vibe. If you watch this back to back with the Demonology one it feels like one big catalogue of fourth dimensional beings that our minds are too feeble to fully comprehend, so we've just put these human labels on them and broken them into categories. The idea that looking on them might lead to some kind of madness or fear in some cases I think is lost in a lot of modern takes on the mythology of Christianity. Somehow highlighting the strikingly unknowable nature of these encounters makes it feel more palatable to me, as if the scriptures were simply people trying to make an account of something that humans could never fully grasp or put into words.
Sounds like a good resource for authors and Game Masters to flesh out their settings with.

Sadly most of what we know of Norse mythology was syncretized by early Christians to the extent reading the texts which we have any student of Christian history and lore will pick up on what was inserted/introduced into Norse mythology from the Christians. I'm into both and have no hate for either (only the extremists within each). Neil Gaiman's Norse Mythology is a surprisingly accurate and amazing attempt to reconstruct accurate retellings of the Norse Myths but unfortunately much is lost. Don't assume just because it is Neil Gaiman it is twisted for entertainment value, he consulted with experts to put that book together and did so rigorously.

It's nice to see someone else interested in religion. I don't trust religious scripture (the more I read, the less I trust it tbh, especially the old testament), but I do believe there must be a God of some sort. Always been fascinated in religions, even when I was an atheist, and I often found myself debating against "edgy" atheists who unfortunately turned their lack of belief into hatred. With all the arguments that go on with religion and how separated we all are, it's nice to see someone else interested in religions that are and are not their own. Gives some faith in humanity and us getting along.

One similarity I found with the chariots is with the 4 horseman of apocalypse. They are known to ride in on a red white black and pale horse. They line up pretty well with the spirits and would make sense why they would need the lamb of god in order to release them in the times of revelation. Though it's not an exact replication of each other they do have similarities that should be looked further into.

fun fact about the cherubim: the faces they possess (human, lion, ox and eagle) also happen to be the symbols that are used to represent the four evangelists in christian iconography. this depiction is commonly referred to as a tetramorph, in case you wanna look it up :)
Intresting, in the four corners of The World card in traditional tarot it shows these same animal symbols for the four fixed signs of the zodiac Taurus, Leo, Aquarius and Scorpio (or Pisces) and their nature elements, Earth, Fire, Air and Water -
Taurus represented by the bull image is earth element,
Leo represented by the Lion is fire element
Aquarius is shown as an Eagle and is Air element but...
Scorpio is only represented only some decks on the world card whereas in other decks in the Scorpio's place there is a human face instead. I think this human represents Jesus and Pisces water element instead. The scorpion symbol is often not shown on this card and an image of a human is in its place instead prehaps on these decks the human represents Jesus and pisces? Pisces is also a water sign as is Scorpio
