As someone who lives in San Diego and loves this place dearly, the scene of the train heading towards San Diego evokes a deep sense of longing for me. I’m pleased with how this painting turned out. Clouds and depth have been challenging for me, but in this piece, I achieved voluminous clouds that avoid a flat appearance. Overall, I feel everything in the painting harmonizes well together. The sky and the train serve as the focal points, and I intentionally kept the rest of the painting less detailed. Each painting teaches me something new, and I believe I’ve made significant improvements
About me:
As a self-taught artist, I have always had a passion for drawing, especially with pencils during my younger years and throughout high school. However, as life took its course, I drifted away from painting, longing to return but unsure of where to begin. Then, in July 2023, I made a pivotal decision to invest in high-end colored pencils and quality papers, hopeful that starting with small drawings would offer solace amidst life's challenges. Little did I know that this journey would reignite my passion for painting, allowing me to rediscover the joy and fulfillment it brings to my life.
