You were dead right about this band being excellent live. I just got back home from the concert about an hour and a half ago & they just blew me away. After the show they hung out with everyone & signed autographs. Five of the nicest guys ever.
I had the pleasure of meeting these guys, my band and I played a gig with them in Baltimore in September. Their bassist is a RIOT, we were having some hamburgers before the show began and he goes on to tell us *in Norwegian accent*"We were in New York last night and I thought, since everybody does it here, I need to try crack! :)" Guys were nice enough to give us props after the show, really classy people and great musicians.
Love this band! Really can't stop listening to them at the moment. One of the most inventive bands out there and this has to be one of my favourite metal songs of all time!!
I watched them for the 3rd time yesterday, and the 2 hour concert was awesoome. They also played happy birthday their guitarist which was 28 same day. They also played Iron Maiden - 2 Minutes to Midnight after the encore.
I´ve seen them twice in the past 4 month and they are just unbelievable - I can´t stop listening to their music, a must for every prog rock fan! Aefa The German Queensryche Empire
love the production on this album especially at 0:22 when it kicks in, the HPF he put on the high hat really opens up the mix, and everythings so crisp and clear, love it.
Prog Metal rules!!! This band impressed me, they have good albums and the voice is really amazing, in a great level like Dream Theater or Symphony X, stay savages dudes!
Im a huge fan of oldschool death and thrash metal, Once in a while I like to tone it down a little and put on something good like this right here, Solid, Well written music, Thank you Pagan's Mind.
lol, this music is so great i started cry at the beginning omg, i got a freezing feeling down my spine through the whole first part. These guys are just awesome! ALL HAIL
They were FANTASTIC live. They really did outperform all the other bands but Stratovarious is arguable ..they were pretty epic too IMO :P it was a great show, you'll have fun =]
Perhaps he does, after all he is an older singer now. But considering Labrie was in his prime and tearing it up while this guy was likely a schoolboy, i wouldnt be surprised to learn he was a fan of/influenced by Labrie or singers of his ilk. I dont mean to take anything away from this guys ability however, he is clearly a stunning vocalist, i will be listening to more of this band!
Dude, I love this song! I've been playing guitar for like a year or two and I got the "Eyes. The heavens scream, 'Rise of the pageant'" part pretty good. Just need to work on the chorus and solo.
I love this song. It's just plain genius. I just love the melodious part. the part at 1:56 or something. I saw them yesterday, together with vanishing point, and Sonata Arctica as main act. It was just awesome ^^
man these guys are great. i hope no one gets offended, but they remind me of a heavier dream theater, which is a great thing! but man these guys are amazing
Honestly this guitar solo made my jaw drop. Holy shit, what a tone. I had no idea a 5150 was capable of something like that, although I always knew it was a good amp.
According to their Facebook group, they "have just completed work on their first DVD, to be released by the band's own label and distributed by Indie Distribution. A street date will be announced shortly." Also, a new CD is in the works, probably to be released early summer 2010.
I'm impressed. This sounds like a mix of Kamelot and Dream Theater. The guitar solo reminded me of Vivian Campbell's solos on the first two DIO records, very nice.
The beginning of this is part of the intro track of the cd. Plus, some of the parts of cut out to make it shorter so it is not like a 7 minute music video.
Im going to a consert with PM next month, and I cant wait !! :D The new album "God's Equation" is gonna be a masterpiece ! Ive heard a little of it, and it ROCKS! They have worked some more on "Through Osiris Eyes" and made a new song called "The Return Of Oriris" (thats the working-title for the track). That is awesome! :D:D:D
The solo is much longer on the album, this is just some kind of a little short version. and the start from 00:12 to 01:05 is just put in as a intro of the album, but that is much longer on the album too.
I own this CD, one of the things I like about it is that the singer resembles Geoff Tate (Queensryche) at times, but I think it's a good thing....he does it tastefully!
@pmanderson Personnaly, a reason why i love DT IS LaBrie, his singing is original and fit perfectly to the universe of the band. Like in "Octavarium" or "The count of tuscany"
the sing is awesome,
good range
good tone
and he can scream.

Dude, I love this song! I've been playing guitar for like a year or two and I got the "Eyes. The heavens scream, 'Rise of the pageant'" part pretty good. Just need to work on the chorus and solo.
Yeah, just a few weeks left and I'll be able to see them live at GMM 2011!!!!
Now that solo had heart
I love this song. It's just plain genius. I just love the melodious part. the part at 1:56 or something.

You know, I could've lived the rest of my life without that image in my mind.
Norwegian metal ftw!! I recommend checking out these bands!! Jorn Lande and Saint Deamon
According to their Facebook group, they "have just completed work on their first DVD, to be released by the band's own label and distributed by Indie Distribution. A street date will be announced shortly."
Also, a new CD is in the works, probably to be released early summer 2010.

Aaaaah, Scandi rock. I love it.
That would be a great lineup regardless of who else tags along. =)

Although I am not a fan of power metal, I being a Stoner Doom fan myself, I still love to see bands that seem to share my nerdiness...
Hehe Cool.
I worked with Steinar in the music stores. :D
Great guy
Pagan's Mind has the coolest guitar riffs.
I love the solo in this song, sooooooo good! but for some reason they cut half of it out and it was the best part too!
where is my iPod now!? ;)
good song, i can play it and i like to sing along until i find out that 5 years have been cut from the song. but the little bit at the start is good!
the first time i saw this video to check PM out.. i closed the browser and never wanted to listen to them again.
The solo is much longer on the album, this is just some kind of a little short version. and the start from 00:12 to 01:05 is just put in as a intro of the album, but that is much longer on the album too.
i'm going to see them in Piacenza with sonata arctica.. good song.. i have to listen to more ^^

Nice, the vocalist has moments where he reminds me of a young James Labrie
i saw them before sonata 7/11 in barcelona

they are opening for Stratovarius tommorow at Nokia Theater in NYC
I own this CD, one of the things I like about it is that the singer resembles Geoff Tate (Queensryche) at times, but I think it's a good thing....he does it tastefully!
@pmanderson
Personnaly, a reason why i love DT IS LaBrie, his singing is original and fit perfectly to the universe of the band.

Best band ever.
