Pagan's mind is a great band. All their videos are just them playing and goofing off, but it shows what a spirit all these guys have, and they can shred when they want to. Rock on.
Their music is difficult to play live! and the timing is hard! specially here! U didn't get the studio feeling the same way...! saw 'em live omg i love this guys
I am glad I could be to any help, old chap. Vortex is definitely one of my all-time favourite vocalists, and I think he deserves some more recognition for his work in bands like Dimmu, Arcturus, Lamented Souls, Borknagar etc.
I only just discovered this band; it's an interesting band. Guessing either hailing from the US or the UK. Nonetheless, a great band, and a hell of a song. One for the ages. BLOW OUR MINDS!!
The singer here is an awesome actor. If it wasn't for him this video would be quite boring but the manages to make it exciting with basically no effects but a completely white background. He's also a great singer and the song itself is great!
I´ve seen Pagan´s Mind twice in the past 4 month and they are just unbelievable - I can´t stop listening to their music and specially like Atomic Firelight, although I love all of their albums. BTW, why can´t you just respect each other or maybe allow yourself to like all of them (DT, QR, PM) - these discussions are so ridiculous, what a kindergarden! Aefa The German Queensryche Empire
i seen those guys in dublin supporting sonata arctica, the bassist had my irish flag on stage for a while, met them afterwards as well, they are really cool guys
saw em last night support for Sonata Arctica they were pretty good they did what any great support band does get ya nice and warmed up before ya get blown away by the headliners
I most certainly agree, good sir. But I guess what I really meant here is that they either were or are among the best vocalists of Norway. And I just checked out ICS Vortex, and holy bananapie I fucking love him! Definitely added to my small list.
I saw them yesterday for the 1. time! They were awsome! And I met the afterwards, tehy are really cool people! I got a peck on the check from the bass guy, hehe and he wore a "Hard Fuck cafe" istead of "Hard Rock caffe" shirt xD
I'll actually say, all the aforementioned bands are awesome. I dunno what's the controversy. They all have their styles and I love each and every one of them for that very reason. Even Dragonforce has their moments. It's not like the music they are playing in the US and Puerto Rico they all sound the same. So, having this variety is actually a good thing. Pagan, Sonata, DT, DF, Angra, and so on... they are all awesome. Ironically... I don't like Nightwish but love Epica.
Oki thanks, I was pretty sure Through Osiris Eyes was the normal tuning, but the other songs (or most of them ive heard) sound like a darker tuning with a dropped C or D
although technically amazing and impressive, a very bizzare sound to Pagan's Mind. I'm used to stuff like "Through Osiris's Eyes" and "Dreamscape Lucidity", nothing this wild. But it is interesting, I'll give it that.
I have to agree with matthias66. This is a very unusual sound for Pagan's mind, comparing it to their previous albums. Sounds like something that moves between trash metal and heavy metal, and still tries to be power\prog.
@pmanderson Well, I forgot about Shagrath (Stian Thoresen). I don't need to mention all the damn black metal vocalists.. I don't really like black metal ^^
Dream Theater is still in a higher league. Their compositions are more complex and ambitious, they lyrics are more mature, interesting and diverse, they are better musicians. However, the LaBrie sucks. However, I love Pagan's mind. They have some very catchy songs and are very good musicians.
Pagan's mind is a great band. All their videos are just them playing and goofing off, but it shows what a spirit all these guys have, and they can shred when they want to. Rock on.
fantastic song from a fantastic album ,,gods equation,,.
Man!!!...these guys are so amazingly talented. I just cannot seem to get enough of Pagans Mind. \m/

GOD BLESS THY SELVES
I have to listen to this song every day! So awesome
Amazing, I simply must get my hands on as much Pagan's Mind material and merch as I can - instant fan and disciple.
Their music is difficult to play live! and the timing is hard! specially here! U didn't get the studio feeling the same way...! saw 'em live

I'll say though, I love Nil's voice when he sings, not all the distortions he does. Has great clarity and power.
I only just discovered this band; it's an interesting band. Guessing either hailing from the US or the UK. Nonetheless, a great band, and a hell of a song. One for the ages. BLOW OUR MINDS!!
I love this song, and the singer really reminds of me when i goes crazy!
Great music from Norway .!!!!!
The singer here is an awesome actor. If it wasn't for him this video would be quite boring but the manages to make it exciting with basically no effects but a completely white background. He's also a great singer and the song itself is great!
I saw them last weekend at PPUSA, They F'n ROCK the stage !!

They really really should they're fucking brilliant !
@eponaepona Agreed! My band and I are die hard Pagan's Mind fans
I'll actually say, all the aforementioned bands are awesome. I dunno what's the controversy. They all have their styles and I love each and every one of them for that very reason. gonna se them tonight!!! :D:D:D
Nice! ;)
@Zappafan1980 sounds convincing to me. but i will have to do a little more research to see which genre they truly belong to
@MishaMiou Exactly!
yummy blast beats
Did u film that from your TV screen? Get some quality done !!
dammit i wanted to see them :(....goddamit
Could anyone help me:
What is the tuning on the guitar and bass on the most Pagan's mind songs?
It's not the normal one at least :P
It's only 1 song, the rest of the album is KILLER.
@pocketknife I think it's meant to be that way. They like screwing around
que manes tan agrsivos jajajjaja!!!!!!!!!!
@mattliebl6199 i believe nils does the lyrics and the music is a combination of nils and jorn
i've found that as well osiris eyes and united alliance are perfect examples but i find D.T. to be by far the most melodic
anybody know who writes their music and lyrics? i wanna say either nils of jorg?
do you think that?
well
name a song on which you think they are "cheating" with backing vocals and i'll watch it
Fucking awesome!
@pocketknife lol yeah, but through osiris eyes is a pretty good video clip though
@wildboy789789 This is not power metal, this is progressive metal!!!!!!!!!
@animelove2021 I agree.
^^ Try Tuomas Holopainen from Nightwish> Good band for ya~
why me too my friend.
The first 20 seconds sounds like Lunatic Asylum by Annihilator
they're fucking insaaaanee \m/
I know the bass player :D
And the drummer gave me two t-shirts :)
;D RONNNYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
@mackjohnson316619 That's what makes power metal what it is! All the cheesy faces are necessary.
I have to agree with matthias66.
This is a very unusual sound for Pagan's mind, comparing it to their previous albums.

quite insane but nice :)
Como me gusta esta banda la puta madre vo!!!!!

@pmanderson Well, I forgot about Shagrath (Stian Thoresen). I don't need to mention all the damn black metal vocalists.. I don't really like black metal ^^
Is that a 6-string bass?
@ultimatebodacity I AGREE THERE OLDER CD'S ARE WAY BETTER. IM WAITINGV THE NEW CIRCUS MAXIMUS CD AND SYMPHONY X CD!!
@wildboy789789 its not power metal this is progressive metal
PG DESTROYS ALL!!!
^^jessss
dat intro
@wildboy789789
but this is prog you know?
But still, it both rules :D
listen to older stuff. its seems like hes using more effects cause his voice is worsening.
listen to stuff from Enigmatic: Calling
Dream Theater is still in a higher league. Their compositions are more complex and ambitious, they lyrics are more mature, interesting and diverse, they are better musicians. However, the LaBrie sucks.
However, I love Pagan's mind. They have some very catchy songs and are very good musicians.
il enlève jamais ses mains de son visage!!!
this seriously sounds like a song Toto could've played, if you drop the heavy guitar and double-bassdrums
@ wildboy789789 they´re no powermetal, its progressive from norway
