    "Kelly's Heroes," though not a tank movie, has an excellent ending where a Sherman takes on 3 Tigers in a small town in France. The Tigers are pretty good mock ups, and the climax is entertaining if not realistic.

      It’s just an awesome blend of caper/ heist movies and spaghetti westerns set in WWII France and filmed in Croatia with a catchy 70s theme song which will burn a hole into your brain and won’t go away. ….With a fantastic Cast too.

      It pry looked like a video game because they only had a 10 mil budget. That is if you are talking about the cgi which I thought looked amazing.
      If your talking about the plot, it was based off of a story to come from the 60s I believe speaking of Soviet prisoners that escaped a Nazi prison with a tank but unlike the movie, ditched it and tried to cover the rest of the journey on foot but died to the elements.
      If your talking about the fight scenes I thought they looked decently good, although extremely lucky for the T-34.

    White Tiger is an excellent movie.
    One of the best moments in the film comes at the start when the camera zooms in to the burnt driver in his wrecked T-34...

    • @kalrainey
      @kalrainey 2 роки тому

      Personally I disagree. The Russian tanks are fine, but the Tiger, which is the main focus of the movie, kills the movie. The Tiger isn't an E1 or an H, not even a combat used Tiger. It is the
      VK 4501 (P), or Porsche Tiger. The tactics used by both the German tanks, especially the Tiger, are completely incorrect and, for a Tiger commander fighting in an urban combat area against Russian T-34/85's would know not to slowly and recklessly drive into the middle of an opening or in the middle of the field. Where the Russian commander pops out of his hatch and the Tiger is revealed to be behind it is too cliché. The Tiger would of just shot it from afar. The Russian tactics are also bad, and the movie buys into the whole "the Russians were fearless men who charged at their enemy 24/7" lie. All of the T-34's are nicely done, though, and the landscape is good. In my opinion, the only good scene from the movie is the scene where the main character is charred inside of a T-34.

There was propaganda on all sides, but the tiger being one of the most feared tanks of ww2 is a FACT not a rumour, not a claim and not propaganda. Also, it is a well known thing that the main reason that the allies won the war was 'quantity', unlike the nazis who preferred quality. Had they had the same resources and finances as the us, then both you and me both would be talking German eating sauerkraut...... besides there are many stories of allied and soviet tank aces taking out many tigers and king tigers.... So similarly Otto Carrius being something to fear for enemy tank crews was a fact.
