I haven't seen muse live yet, but dont get me wrong i am one of their biggest fans. I have been listening to them for awhile now and nothing compares, i just sit around all day when i have free time and watch live shows, wishing that i'd be there. the two times they came close to me they canceled both shows, i was devestated. But the point i'm trying to get to is that I want to see them so badly, and only then i can die a happy man.

@Sj1h I totally agree with you. I can't imagine muse agreeing to do something that I thing that isn't what they like. Take for example what chris said: Sometimes we just have to sell our soul. And I don't think he was just refering to the Twilight saga... Now that you have mentioned their contract with WB I can have a more structured opinion about this issue. Because I always thought they were against their new tipe of music (especially chris) but I forgot how WB was involved in this situation.

Since he has a Tenor Voice, he can, suprisingly, block his nose and reach 2 higher octaves that one normally could. This is serious, I'm not jokin around. Hence the nasal squeal at an AMAZINGLY high pitch at 3:51!
his voice is just so god damn amazing, i love him, then, now and in the future, he does what he knows he's good at with a finess born from not giving a damn about others opinion of his art. Muse rocks!!!!!!!
So I had my mp3 player on shuffle, going over songs I had listened to over the last 5 years. Showbiz came up and - while I used to be Canada's hugest Muse fan 3'ish years ago - I hadn't listened to them for a while and it took me a while before I remembered the name of the song. I instantly remembered how much I loved them back when I was 17, of all the angst, rage, fury, and anguish it had inspired and reflected in me and I was compelled to come back and visit this amazing performance.
My favourite bit in this video is just as Matts falsetto is finishing at the end, Chris merges it in in with that badass bass line and then Matt makes a moaning noise with his guitar, then they jump up on Doms podium and chris kicks the water back in slow motion. Its just so Epic it blows my mind!!
i still can't believe this song is from their first album... to make an album like showbiz takes genius... but to make it as your FIRST album?!? they are gods!!
I've seen Muse live 4 times in the last 3 years, and while I've loved every show, I'd do anything for them to go back to this playing style. 2006 was the last time they performed Showbiz live. Very sad :(

Yes they do, it's a knob on the Zvex Fuzz Factory that is built in to his guitar :) I think it's the "stab" knob, but I'm not sure. 'Tis the Fuzz Factory, though.

And (I'm not trying to start roumours by any means) I heard that they aren't doing any more albums, that they're just going to relase singles...Personally, I really hope they don't do that! Ok lets get this clear the highest reached in the studio and he did these 1. At the end of Showbiz 2.Second chorus of microcuts both of these notes are G5 and the highest live note he's ever reached is A5 which was during "Hey You Crazy Kids" (type it into youtube)
@TheMusicianPwns In the beginning im pretty sure its clean with either a wah wah or a very slow flange. then he goes to flat out distortion with some fuzz factory. and in in chorus he just goes to the neck pick up. then in the 3rd verse he's just screwing around with fuzz factory. the rest sorta repeats, but idk about the solo. effing insane though.

i love love love this concert. i have the dvd. but the thing i hate about it is all the cameras going from one to another so fast. like i dont think the camera stays still for like more than 2 secs. lol.
im with you on that one, i saw them in marlay park and i was dying to hear showbiz, sing for absolution or citizen erased and they never did:( they did play dead star and space dementia though which i was extremely happy about :)
