neglecting diction to ensure tone stability is a choice I can respect. my personal problem is I live in a non english country and I need more live Muse videos in my life that have subtitles. not for me, but when I wanna show friends these videos I would love them to know the lyrics.
It's not? Hmmm, well maybe it's the chorus?? I dunno, it just sounded "bridge-esque" to me when I first heard it, but if it's the chorus instead, then that's cool. I LOVE THIS SONG! :)
muse, to me, is a good representation of what Queen would sound like today with all the technology we have. So think about it like that, Queen were able to do what they did in the 70's with the primitive stuff and hear what they sounded like, fantastic!
The fanbases are certainly no different, with half the fans saying that their (queen and Muse's) first 3 albums were great and then every album afterwards by them were shit and trying to appeal to the mainstream, and then the other half of the fans enjoying their entire discography.
Queen was certainly more pop music oriented than Muse, though. Muse's discography contains a lot more songs influenced by hard rock, metal, and punk music.
Matthew Corcoran the first 6 queen albums were fantastic imo jazz and the game were very mixed albums there were a lot of dud songs on them. Hot space was a bold experiment gone wrong. The works and a Kind of magic were made to sell they really were. Radio Ga ga was made because synth pop was popular and it would chart. Roger Taylor even admitted Freddie changed a kind of magic to make it poppier as he knew it would sell. The miracle and Innuendo were fantastic albums to go out on though. So when people say early queen was better they aren't wrong every band goes through a rough patch and queens was 82-86
Dom Howard is an athlete.... incredible drummer. they're all incredible. so tight as a trio... top class musicians who came from the same high school. the universe really did wonder to unite them.
I played guitar for 7-8 years...i play almost all muse songs perfectly...but this song is the only song i can't play the riff correctly...and its my favourite song :(
@@sludgerat444 Are you actually picking the open 16ths in-between cleanly? The way the string oscillates makes it REALLY fucking difficult to do correctly.

I love the guitar solo - amazing. Muse uses spanish classical harmony in rock like no other does. The drones solo is similar and the song Hysteria seems like it's purposefully based around flamenco i, V, iv, i
Yeah they're great in arenas and know how to put on a show but something about intimate shows is where their true forms are shown and why they're one of the best live performers.
The Township Rebellion jam is my favourite Muse moment. The sound the band had on this version made this my most favourite Township Rebellion moment. When they end my favourite Muse song, SS, with a Township Rebellion outro, I can't ask for more in music.......

Wow so this is what Matt struggling with all the heavy, draining songs during the Drones Tour sounds like: All notes in place, little drained of power. That's all. Still amazing and I'm impressed he pulls it off while WISELY going a tiny bit easy here and there so he doesn't vince neill his voice.
Yeah, props to him for having the self-awareness not to get too carried away while rocking out, while still delivering an entertaining show. Goodness knows we need him around and singing as long as humanly possible. ❤❤❤❤
Drones is crapped on constantly but the genre of its songs is the closest thing we have to the OOS - Absolution era since those times. It's unjustly underrated by most fans...
@@luisduarte9020 Drones is seriously a kickass album. For the life of me I cannot understand why so many fans consider it to be their worst album. Especially with songs like Reapers, The Handler, Defector, and The Globalist on it!
+Kevin Lopez he maybe can:) but well, he´s playin´and singin´all the gig with high notes and make that guitar scream. He can, but maybe he was tired and he need to finish all the gig with the same energy.
It's been this way for quite awhile with that part, even when he did openly have the ability to hit notes like that. I think it's just never been that easy to do that part while playing the guitar part for him.
+Miligameur Did I say that he could? Knowing how to read is a good quality. But honestly, at the beginning of the Psycho UK tour he might have been able to (not that it would've been a good idea to). But like I said, he's been doing the same thing on that part for years and years and years. Take notice that he's been doing it nonstop since after the absolution era ended. Also check out the performances of the Freedom outro in 2013 that he actually sang on.
Am I the only one who goes absolutely fucking nuts for their ending riffage segments? I absolutely love how crazy they get. It's like a hot chocolate drizzle on top of the whole thing
Serious question, how does one remember somthing one has forgotten, and how does one promise for the 100th time and expects to sound like for real? Anonymous fan from Belgium.

By far one of their best songs.
mangadrummer85 i agree
Amen
That chorus 👌
The best for me.
Then u clearly haven’t heard Hysteria this is a great song but like seriously go listen to that!
simultaneously, the heaviest, most beautiful & heartbreaking song in existence.
yup it has it all
wonderfully put, would also add exhilarating to that. The ultimate song IMO
Dominic Howard on the drum giving all his body and soul as if it's the apocalypse. He's that monster.
Even Dream Theater was inspired by this song.
They are truly genious musician.
Never enough by dream theater????
Yeah, Portnoy said was inspired by this song
@@tian2710 I can see why, Dom’s drumming is prog-y as hell on this track
@@tian2710 Inspiring Mike Portnoy one of the biggest compliments you can receive as a rock musician
Not every songs.Only Octavarium that has Muse influence on it
They are the best Rock band ever.
One cannot say this lightly. I offer this.
Jonathan Bornstein uhhh led zeppelin still exists, yo
Jonathan Bornstein agreed. Just because they aren't as old of a band as "old rockers" doesn't lessen the intensity of their music over others
Calymos The Rolling Stones too
Im feeling like when ill be old, they will be eminences like Queen was
@@Calymos Pink Floyd is better
5:31 i’ve seen muse twice and the ending riff to stockholm syndrome has always been some of the largest energy at a concert i’ve felt, so powerful
Yeh because it’s endless nameless by nirvana. Muse take nirvana riffs so often
It is on my bucket list to oneday see muse live. Just listening and watching I bet it would feel so cool to see the ending live.
@@Kaleb._ I really wish you to make it one day. You will never forget that night, trust me)
Holy s**t....
they combine rock / operatic elements so well... triumph and tragic at the same time... just brilliant
They are the true successors to Queen imo
This is something special. Muse is just pure talent
It's more hard work than talent. And many years of experimentation with different sounds and style :)
I love how the tone of guitar changes at 5:09.
got any tab?
It's called a "bridge" in rock music.
It's not? Hmmm, well maybe it's the chorus?? I dunno, it just sounded "bridge-esque" to me when I first heard it, but if it's the chorus instead, then that's cool. I LOVE THIS SONG! :)
Manson power baby...
its a phaser effect
The Best Talent + The Best Technology = MUSE
No such thing as best talent tbh. :(
Hearing the crowd sing is just.. perfect
The energy from being at one of their concerts is unlike any feeling I have ever felt.
Oh how I miss this.
Well they're on the road again, hopefully theyll pass by wherever you live!
Can we just take a minute of admiring the voice of Matt
Most beautiful voice ever existed! 😍♥️
5:59 - 6:29 Just Matt, Chris, and Dom showing some Rage Against The Machine love right there ❤🔥

Queen would never go as heavy and obscene as muse do tbh. They were always a commercial band at heart with the exception of bohemian rhapsody

Opening riff…people losing their minds! STRAIGHT FIRE 🔥
This song always gets me pumped!!
I watched them twice. Jaw-dropping. Totally amazed with their skills. Very complex and complicated riffs but yet he made it looks so easy to play
it's great Psycho exists now since they are using Execution Commentary as a riff
they used it for ages look up Glastonbury 2004 Stockholm syndrome
Look up MCM Cafe 1999
Or at least more of it. I honestly love it more than the psycho riff
