Yeah, if you've got a certain voice you can imitate it with difficultly! I can hit the notes smoothly too, but forget vibrato..... that's what gets me about Matt's voice, his ability to effortlessly add any strength of vibrato to any note!
When you can do that in live shows, while playing guitar, then no doubt you are the greatest musician in the world. Matt Bellamy, you are that musician!
apiz arsha-veen He is an artist. A magician. A wizard and will go down in history as one of the best modern composers and the best falsetto voice of his generation. Not to mention his creativity with hard rock is as good as his treatment of classical works. He's amazing...that's all there is to it.

I disagree. The delay on the studio version used for the vocals makes it sound way better, and the slight bit of a choir sound during the chorus in the studio version makes the chorus sound beyond epic. Its a very impressive song to pull off live, but the studio version sounds better.
Dr Lawrence Devoe I’ve literally seen him performing it in the last couple of years and by that I mean in 2017 and this year. It sounded pretty good, not this good of course, but he reached the notes without too much struggling
2:12 love how matt still sings the full note as he goes away from the mic to slide his fingers across the guitar and when he goes back you can still hear him singing
@@Jakeyisdead dude sorry to hear that, I know how hard that can be when you enjoy singing, I would hate it if I had anything happen to my voice or my hands. I play guitar (26 years) and sing. Hope you get back up there to the Ab5 again.
@@bobaboba3333 yes its impressive when a guy can get that high, I can sing the song too and even 1 note higher than Matt to an A#5 and I did record myself doing it because I couldn't believe it myself. My favorite part is the last word of the chorus when he says "soooooooouls" the way you tremolo that note and do a vocal slide down to the beginning note of a D4. Its pretty fun to do it. This song proves how much talent these three guys have and how amazing they are live. Matt's unbelievable falsettos with those crazy arpeggios are brilliant.
lol, it's funny coming back to these videos and see comments like this. Like, you don't see when they were posted and you say "yeah, they're muse". But at that time they were not mainstream and they were just starting to rocket to super star status. They have evolved and never stood within the same genre, which make them even more incredible. They were meant to be (are) one of the greatest bands of the 21 century.
The fact that Matt Bellamy has the abillity to perform this just as well live as in the studio amazes me. This is honestly one of the best live performances of any song that I have ever seen\heard!

Adrian Velasquez he wasn't necessarily struggling, he was actually controlling his falsettos. He is much more skilled with his voice now than in the 2000's. He realizes that he's been doing this stuff for years, and he'll probably be doing it for many more years. He doesn't want to completely destroy his vocals chords, especially if it's in the middle of a show/tour.

Matt didn’t want to be a singer. He didn’t even know he could sing. He would just mumble the words quietly, not even looking at the audience. Their sound tech told Chris and Dom they needed to find another singer. Matt supposedly overheard this because the next day he belted it out, leaving everyone speechless. What’s even more funny is that Chris is also a great singer.
