Chef wan hosted many tv shows, including East Bites West (UK) featured him driving in food truck around UK. Those lucky selected random people he met on street, chef wan will cook for them. Oh I missed that show!.

From what I’ve heard Chef wan is a Legend in Malaysia.
And yes I agree, when Gordon and Wan throw it in it’s Measurement.
When it’s Jamie’s throwing it in, he’s throwing stuff blindly.

Nasi Kangkang is some kind of black magic kind of cook.. to hypnotized the husband to be loyal.. she must crotch on the rice bowl, citing the word(idk what word) then u will be forever with her.. mostly people don't do this anymore... This only happens back in the day when islam isn't spread entirely throughout the country.. some people might keep this practice somewhere

True shit Caribbeans have their own version of nasi kangkang, we call it “sweating the pot”. Essentially when the food is done, a woman squats over the pot and let’s the steam sweat her thighs and…other place until it drips into the food. It’s said that anyone who eats the food will become obsessed with whoever made it

I think the crotch rice the chef talked about was a kind of curse. Superstition is pretty huge in southeast Asia I think and this is one of it. Kind of like how you can place a curse of a person on a doll and the person will have bad luck if you do stuff to the doll. So following some remotely similar logic, you are placing a curse as a woman onto your husband by making him unknowingly drink your, you know.

Nasi kangkang is a black magic myth that is said to be used by women to charm her crush/lover. Basically she will have to feed her victim with rice that is mixed with her own period blood. This is a common banter in Malaysia especially for someone who doesn't know what it means. In this case uncle roger. "You want some nasi kangkang?"

@@NeonNomad747It's not a myth or superstition. It's a real black magic. The method is not complete without the spell.

It's not something modern people talk about. It's a black magic/curse. Things can get crazy when it comes to southeast asian black magic. We're kinda one of the wildest when it comes to black magic and supersition
