Wow tremendous presentation of this part of piece of Greece!!!! Herculian task of so much walk and climbing those endless stairs !!!!! Of course you have become my favourite blogger with your humour and your adventurous nature !!!! Congrats from me and hats off for all this awesome work. By the way I loved most your humour regarding monks and nuns but not tell them. They will curse us 😂😂😂😂😂
Thank you so much, that's the nicest message I've received, I'm very grateful. Hit subscribe and enjoy NYC and there's lots more coming. Thanks again 😊 your support is hugely appreciated 😊😊😊
Makes a mini documentary about Meteora Monasteries, then 21:35 legendary reaction 🤣🤣🤣 I would have rang that bell tho! Language barrier would be my excuse lol Good job m8, informative and well made vid. Have fun and be healthy. +1 sub
Ha ha! Thanks a lot mate! I should've rung the bell, I was trying to be respectful 😅. I loved filming that video and I'm glad you liked it. Hope you enjoy the NYC series, thanks again 😊
This is a unique phenomenon and is considered to be natural, human and divine wonder all at once. It is believed to be a gift of Poseidon since people knew that it was once under the sea. Other natural wonders in Ellas are: Vikos gorge (it is a Guinness world record sight), the dragon lake of Tymfi, the forest of stone and the Lemnian dessert which is the most unique dessert in the world duo to it's stones. Rhodes's butterflies valley, Corfu's moon like shore and Melos' white shores alongside Santorini's shores are some of the more famous ones.
Oh my holy God!!! You are freaking hilarious!!!! I was just at 2 of the monasteries today - St Stephens and the Holy Trinity, on a bus tour from Athens. I became so fascinated i just had to learn more, and came across your video, split my gut laughing! And guess what, I was one of those cute grannies working so hard to get up the steps, so glad you decided not to cheer them on, as you say "a time and a place" but holy smokin' God you made me laugh so hard and thank you so much for this video, it was my evening viewing after a day trip to Meteora :))))
I can't thank you enough for this comment Carol. I'm so grateful for your feedback, it made my day! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video and seeing the monasteries! It remains one of the most spectacular places I've ever been whilst also providing me with excruciating leg and lower back pain from those godforsaken steps! 😂 I'm heading to the middle east in a couple of weeks! Thanks again for your support, it really does mean everything to me! Wishing you comfortable and exciting travels! Al 😊
Being a Monk doesnt mean youre cut off from the rest of the world, it means you dedicate your life to God. Youll see that especially if you ever visit Mount Athos (recommended), where youll meet an Italian Chirurgeon, a German IT specialist and other interesting people who left the "wordly" things to focus on the spiritual. They are though, people of their times, so use mobiles, internet, have websites, communicate etc. There are others, more strict, but many do follow their times. Save travels
Thank you! You are the first person to notice that! It almost killed me! I had 2 days bed rest back in Athens after Meteora 😅 Thanks for watching my video, best wishes!
Thank you for the video! ❤You needed 6 months, I needed 25 years. I finally have seen all 6, this year, în June, exactly the way I always wanted, hiking from Kalambaka and walking all the way. 6 hours from the hotel and back, 3 monasteries a day. I loooved every second of it. Indeed not too much to see inside but the views were amazing. And that path, close to St Stephen, I wanted to walk on it after seeing some people on top of those rocks on the first evening when I arrived în town but it looked too scary. Stay strong and enjoy your travels!🤗
Wow! Good on you! That's some serious hiking! My philosophy has always been "Bus up and walk back down" ha ha! I don't think I would've been able to go uphill to that extent so well played you! Thanks fit watching and supporting me, it's very very much appreciated! Wishing you plentiful travels! 😊😊 Al
Meteora. Have u ever wondered why weather forecasters are called meteorologists? Hint. [Nothing to do with meteors] haha and the science of weather forecasting is called meteorology? Yes... bingo! . A little bit of trivia for u. It derives from the Greek word Meteora which means sky high , up in the sky and where this town got its name from.
Just subscribed. Hope you enjoyed Greece and you come again. There are still tons of things to see. I highly suggest the Palace of Knossos at the island of Crete
@Travel Saved My Life and an advice from a native. Avoid purchases near monuments. They always charge higher there. When it comes to water and/or snacks, always try to buy from towns, cities etc. We're it's cheaper
Aw I'm sad I didn't try it. I went to the Taverna Gardenia a few times and had some delicious meals. Greek food is genuinely my favourite food! I'm posting it on Instagram over the next couple of days.
