So beautiful
😀I went there in early April. The weather was unstable, rainy in most of the time and foggy around the monasteries. It's still pleasant to have a meal or coffee in town seeing these gigantic rocks standing behind.
Beautiful right? When we went there the whether was also not so great, but I think that the cloud and mist add even some additional charm to these kind of places. ☺️
Awesome place of worship. I wouldnt have known this withour your sharing. Thank you so much. Good work i love watching them. Kudos. Subd n liked hehe ❤
Thank you so much for this lovely feedback! 😊❤️
Awesome
Thank you! ☺️
How is the drive from Athens to Meteora?
I'm going to Athens in November and was wondering if I go to Meteora by train or rent a car for a day and drive? it will be four of us. I appreciate your idea.
Hey! The highway (with tolls) between Athens and Meteora is actually pretty good, a very smooth drive.
Just keep in mind that the traffic in and around Athens is a bit chaotic sometimes, but once you are out on the highway it should be fine 😅
I think it's November now, so my comment comes a little late, but for the visitors in the future, my advice is as follows.
You can rent a car from Athens and go to Meteora, of course, but it comes a little expensive. Think you have to come back to Athens again. But in the mean time you have a way to go around the Meteora are, and discover all the hidden gems, small roads, and best views of all nature's wonders.
My advice is to go by train. Hassle-free journey, relaxed, cheap, watching out the scenery of the countryside, not been annoyed by traffic and greek driving habits, and THEN rent a car locally. So you can go around the area for the full day, or two, and save a huge amount of money in your wallet at the same time. If I'm not mistaken the train ticket from Athens to Meteora, costs about 25 euros per adult person, one way.
I just returned from my trip. We were party of Four, therefore I rented a car and drove from Athens. It defiantly worth it. I have to mention there were Six tolls each way, but the highway was really good.
For one or two persons, renting a car will be expensive and train will be better choice, but if you are larger group renting car is a good choice.
@@iggo45 thank you for your comment. I think this is extremely helpful not just for us 🙏
@@travel-bestdestinations7066 hey :) we really hope that you enjoyed your trip!! Definitely sounds amazing and good point that if you are enough people it makes sense to rent a car in Athens 😊
