Happy holidays, One of my favorite knots that I have been using for about 2 years now is the FG knot. I know it is only meant for break too line or lead and not directly to hooks or swivels. I have never had one fail on me.
I’ve tried them and personally I haven’t seen an advantage. In theory it would make sense that you would get more action with a loop knot though. Maybe would be a good topic for a video and to experiment and compare between the two.

That’s awesome we also use a FG knot on our Goliath rod to connect our braid to our mono and have never had one fail us!

That’s my knot as well. But what about a loop knot for live bait or jigs?
