(Jeff Anderson here...) Well, I may as well jump in and speak up for myself, eh? :-) (Though frankly, usually if I respond, the UA-camr just deletes my comment - maybe because I make some points?) Dunno... but I actually LIKE these debates because the whole goal of training in self-defense is to continuously become a better defender, eh? If something doesn't work, throw it out. If I'm wrong, I'm always the first one to admit it and will opt for someone else's technique over my own.
Unfortunately, a lot of these "review" UA-cam sites take snippets and deliver them out of context with the intent of "getting views", building subscribers, and getting paid for ad clicks (without reaching out for some engagement or even a link to our channel for people to go and see the full videos in context). Seems like a juvenile way to make some extra dough (especially living it a glass house yourself?) but anyhoo - here's my $.02 on your points...
Background (since you questioned it): Served 10 years in US Army - 10th Mountain Division; 193rd Infantry; 2nd AD; among others; 1 combat tour; blah blah blah.
Before commenting on each video, to your final comment... no, none of the techniques are "made up" or pulled out of my ass. All from formal training. That being said, none of the techniques you've featured have I used in a real fight. Doesn't mean they don't work... but I've not had to personally use them when other techniques were available. And that's the point... all of these videos are single technique demonstrations and meant to give people "options". It kinda always kills me when people watch one video and think that the demonstration is somehow meant to be a "one-strike-kills-all course" in fighting. The more tools in your bag, the better chance for your survival, right? Use it. Don't use it. Up to you. It's just an option that "can" work.
      Anyhoo... onward...
Video 1 (dude hitting another dude): Glad you like the schnoogies comment. The video isn't about the intent of "using a dude to hit another dude". It's a simple escape from a "chicken wing" hold in a multiple attacker fight. The only reason it "looks" like what your review is suggesting is because I didn't do it at full speed. At full speed, the guys legs DO come flying up and "if" someone is in front of you trying to punch you, they "could" get kicked at the same time. I'm not suggesting some Jackie Chan miracle move. It's simply the "science of possibility".
Video 2 (knockout from the ground): Good point about bridging. Wasn't in my arsenal at the time of that filming (sorry, but we ARE talking 10 years ago!) and may be a better option for this position. The pressure point mentioned is Gall Bladder 20 and most certainly is a knockout location - without much force. Hit hard enough (and not just with a hammer), it CAN cause death so it warrants mentioning this in the video for safety sake - not because it's some magic dim mak tactic I'm suggesting anyone actually do.
Video 3 ("eagle claw"): Sorry, way too easy to bring in "what if's" ("What if he's wearing a lot of clothes? What if you don't have a lot of hand strength? What if he's wearing body armor? What if he's a Ninja Turtle? etc.). It's absolutely true that you can't depend upon pain compliance in a real fight - especially when adrenaline is kicked in. This is simply one tool for a bad situation. As far as passing the guard and "moving to a controlling position and THEN attack", we'll have to maybe agree to disagree on that one. You obviously seem to have much more "formal" ground training than I've had - but in a real attack, I'm NOT looking to get into ANY position. I'm expecting someone else on the sidelines to put their size 13 sh*t-kickers into my coconut and I'm looking to get off the ground as quickly as possible. A few hammer fists to the face and groin and I'm up (as you've also stated). Don't sit there and carry on the attack like you feel I'm instructing to do.
Video 4 (Rear Hold Escape): "Dude, dude, DUDE..." another example of distortion of the technique because it's being explained in slow motion. In reality, this move happens quickly and it's the relaxing of the arms that makes this possible - and no, it doesn't stick you in a bad position where the other guy is going to jam your arm up on you. There's no time for this to happen... IF you do it quickly. You can't have it both ways... "can" you get jammed up? Yup! "Can" it also work exactly as I said? Yup! It's really NOT that hard of a technique.
Video 5 (Multi Attack Against Wall): Ok, this is my favorite one to talk about it because it appears to be the favorite one to bust on - and yes, I do certainly understand why :-). In fact, one other UA-cam who built an entire video around it deleted my response after it went up. I'll share what I remember of it here, which is this... it's simply a basic "science-y" principle of lateral movement. Yes, we've shown this principle with as much as 35 guys pushing forward on you and they all collapse on one another when you use the technique (and each one of the guys in classes do it the first time - because it's not "technique based" - it just physics) "Why" you ask, would there be 35 guys pushing on you in a real fight? There wouldn't be. That's why it's just a "principle". The point here is that if you have 2, 3, 4, 20, (whatever) guys who have you pinned and/or are punching you, you've gotta do something, right? Most people will curl up in a ball and pray the beating stops. Most of the time, that'll probably work. But I've seen times in real fights where it hasn't. Again, it's just a tool. Use it. Don't use it. But hey... why not at least TRY it... BEFORE calling it stupid?
Well, normally I would just let these videos go and avoid commenting. But you DO have "some" valid points and you don't seem to be a total douche bag - and the clips you added as b-roll were pretty funny and probably took quite a bit of time to put together. I'm honored. :-) Besides, you did what most others don't do and that's offer a couple of alternatives to the techniques I've shown. Most are just haters who are followed by a bunch of dipshits who never exited their schoolyard bully mentality.
Anyway, thanks for opening up the discussion (though it could have been done more professionally.) :-)

He’s actually not entirely making stuff up, using a dude to beat another dude is a real ability. It’s a rage power with requires you to be a level ten barbarian. If you succeed at a grapple check against an opponent of your size category or smaller you can make an attack roll against another creature within reach and deal your strength bonus in damage to both creatures. The high speed units within the Army like the Special Forces, CAG and the Rangers have what could be considered advanced UAC training. This guy was never SF (at least my contact who helps in running the Green Beret foundation) wasn’t able to find any record of him ever attempting or graduating the Q course nor has he been to Ranger school. At best he’s an 11B who’s another embellisher, at worst he’s a guy who had a non combat arms MOS or never even served and is following Frank Dux’s “pathway to success”

Yeah, if you grab a guy's side and do the Eagle Craw on him while he's in mount, he's just gonna rip your hand away and hit you harder for hurting him. He's won't just stop attacking and passively roll over for you. Same with trying to grab his shirt. Guy will just grab your arms and throw them off him or pin them to his chest with one hand while hitting with the other. Or just ignore them completely and land punches on your now unprotected head.

I've been in the Marine Corps as an MP for 13 years and we get bullshit lessons like this for "defensive tactics" training all the time. When I was a blue belt, I had a guy that told us that he had a defense that works to get out of the mount 100% of the time. I was known as the guy who actually trained out of all the students, so he called me up, asked me to mount him and said "hold me down with everything you've got". I grapevined his legs and kept heavy hip pressure and basically his "technique" was spazing out like a white belt day 1 of Jiu Jitsu class, it lasted for about 10-15 seconds until he realized he wasn't getting out and he said "okay, well it usually works, but if you're against a guy like this i guess it won't". I was actually surprised that he admitted defeat though and didn't make something up as an excuse. But the techniques they teach us are just enough to give 18-20 year old people with no prior training a sense of confidence to either intimidate someone not to fight, or if that doesn't work get their ass kicked. It was straight up 1970's Kung-Fu style stuff with batons, pressure points all kinds of stuff you make fun of on your channel. Keep it up exposing the fakes.

This is why I have no issue with people turning up to martial art schools and challenge the teacher (although not challenge students). If the teachers martial art works they get new students if not they lose students, it sorts wheat from chaff. When I lived at a martial arts school this happened regularly and nobody had an issue with it. You can be polite and still fight.

while fighting in the streets, there's no way to pause the game in order to remember the move list, and that's the problem with all those self defense tutorials, there's no way you're going to remember where the "pressure point" is, and what if you find it, but your hit fails to put out of combat the assailant? are you going to say "dude, wait a minute so I can remember what to do next"?

🤣🤣🤣 the two man attack towards the end where one attacker has your wrists from behind cracks me up. We teach this scenario at my dojo.
We DON'T teach that defense. The guy who had your wrists is not the threat. It's the guy who's coming in to hit or stab you.🙄
We teach people to kick the attacker in the front. Kick him in the groin, leg, knee, etc. Remove that threat. Assuming the guy behind you hasn't let go yet, grab his wrists from the position you're in, if you can, and launch a rear kick right at him. He's ripe for it.

The worst part about this whole situation is all you need to do is put on a pair of camouflage pants and people will follow you. My sensei and I used to teach Karate to kids at an after school program. One of the fathers was one of these "LETS USE HOLLYWOOD TECHNIQUES FOR SELF DEFENSE" types and would get angry when we put an emphasis on running away if you can and use fighting as a last resort. We never wanted to give the children a god like mentality because in reality nothing is fair.
One day he got so mad, stood up and wanted to "Demonstrate" his world class technique. He told me to "Throw a punch at him and make sure it's fast"... Turns out his special forces technique was for a LOOPING haymaker punch, and he was furious when i threw a straight palm strike to his chest...He came grabbed me by my Gi and started saying how he would "F'ing kill me if kids weren't watching" and i just laughed... I don't know why i wrote this but it's scary how these John Wick impersonators can give people so much confidence.

Yeah I agree..3 out of 5 Dux. One thing I've noticed that he never did was push kick the guy in front of him as he was being held in the double chicken wing.
If I were in that situation, I'd push kick then try to headbutt the guy holding me, then attack his lower body (foot stomping, groin strikes if my hand is able to reach, knee strikes, etc.) until he's forced to let me go. I dunno if any of that would actually work but, I'd try my damnedest
