  • We finally got the jeep out to the track! This is the 1st time the jeep has been down the track and the 1st time the owner has ever raced down a strip. Despite a pretty decent pass, she still needs a true tune. The first tune was done w/ 2nd gear pulls because the tires were too old to pull at 100mph. We will have a new tune done soon! Look out for that vid.

    A 9.5 is a 9.5.... but a 9.5 in a Jeep, is the seat brown at least?

Is that still with the nv3550?

Ax15. Exact replacement. The nv3550 was a lil sloppy. Had about 150k on it.

Did you have to shift the tranny/transfer case forward or back to accommodate the ls? It would be nice to not have to modify the drive shafts.

Drive shafts had to be adjusted and the tranny moved forward about 1"3/4. Transfer case didn't have to be moved. But the drive shafts should be the least of your worries when doing a swap. Heck, that was probably the least cost involved in the build!

What did you guys end up doing for exhaust? I thought I remember you doing dual but can’t find anything on it. If you did, did drop a pipe out each side? I’m at that stage in my build and I’m really wanting a pipe out each side, but it’s really tight under there.

We ended up going single out. After doing research from others who have ran duals, almost all suggested not running duals. Especially if this will see any off roading in the future.
