Those who do not respect their parents, mother specifically in this case..should be ready for something similar. Bcoz this message is conveyed to their kids. Karma will reach back to you. Always respect and care your parents. After becoming parents, now me and my wife realize how much pain our parents would have gone through while raising us. I feel more grateful now to my Maa-Papa.. Please give lots of love/ Care to them, this is the least we can do for what they have done for us through out their life.
I always thought of adopting a child in future but now watching this I really want that one granny adopts me and I should take her to my house and take care of her.
I love watching your videos and I always look forward for it. I am very surprised that you guys don't have millions of view or likes. This is very inspiring and very sad... Death comes in different ways and it's not these women fault that their husband passed away and left them in this cruel world. Even their kids didn't accept them which is even more upsetting...
Shame on the peoples who have shed these widows as if they are trash....who have dedicated all their lives for their upbringing...Also a great appreciation to those who have kept the well-being of taking care of these elderly women's.Keep up the good work.God bless you and all these wonderful women's who have to strive like this.
talking to them must have been heart shaking..when they share their pain...i personally realise how they must have felt...u doing a great job by visiting them....keep up the good work...jai hind
EXCELLENT...Brilliant video, Todays generation should learn to respect the elders....A big salute to the whole team, for their effort to bring such videos....
How can some people abandon their own parents? These women are the birthgivers. It's not their fate or relegion it's their children and their families who are heartless enough to leave them like this. I lost both my grandparents in the margin of 4 days at a very tender age and now I crave for their love. This is so heartbreaking.😭 I wish I could do something for them once I grow up.
I once visited an old man's home in a suburb of Bombay to see an old relative. I talked to some of the people. One person came from an area near my house. He said the apartment he lived in became too small for the family. So he gave it to his son and he came to the old man's home. He recd. a small pension which he gave to the home. No one from his family had visited him in 5 years. I felt like crying. I offered to drive him to his son's house and to drive him back. But he declined. He said he was not welcome there.
The only fault with Hinduism (if there is any) in this case I have found is that it has deeply entrenched the concept of "destiny" within these women. If what I have watched in the video is correct, a lot of these women had to chance to get remarried but didn't because they believed that doing so would cause harm to other or because it was their duty and "tradition" to stay with one man, no matter dead or alive. But even then using this as a case against Hindusim doesn't make sense.
@@mondalsdiary498 Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar actually reformed the conditions of widows a lot. He married his own son to a widow and conducted many widow remarriage ceremonies. He also challenged Hindu Orthodoxy and used the verses from the same Hindu scriptures to justify widow remarriage that were used by conservatives to oppose widow remarriage.
Touching video. Talks about the good and bad side of society. Its upto each of us, what our contributions will be for the greater good of society. We can try to add something better to anything we get, so that the current and next generations will reap the benefits and continue it forward.
Great job 101 India, I had watched several videos of your channel and I really like all of them. Thank you for such a great channel and videos. Through this channel, I really get the opportunity to know about various unknown facts about India.
And we thought abolishing sati would have ended the atrocities to the widows ! what good is life to anyone if left out to pay for the sins which they haven't even committed ? And the conviction with which they believe they themselves are responsible for their condition reflects a much needed action to revamp the mindset, that our society have disappointingly engraved onto the hearts of these women. I really want to congratulate to the team covering this story because to the people like us , complacent of everything that surrounds us, happy with embarking into a new technological world that is giving us everything we have imagined, it is sometimes necessary to have a reminder such as these so that if not anything else , maybe this could help us realise the hypocrisies that we are living with.
101 India, I think that you should make the documentary longer because you can't cover the whole of this in just one episode. But overall, your videos rocks.
Education is veryyyyyyyyy important and it is only source of life to how vive survive in the world so please everyone give your kids educations but especially to ur daughters for their life ahead!!
Your point is valid that education is primary need of anybody. But could it cure state of mind & poison of old patriotic things. This is not the problem of old traditions only, in today's time many people are still alive with evil thoughts & mindset despite of being educated. In my opinion been a educated is more than just having knowledge of language, various subjects. It might be helpful to build a strong character.
I have gone in this widow house, very nice people is here, all dadi's bcm very happy when any1 come for them, i went there with fruits 1st tym & sweets at d 2nd tym😘😘😘

@101 India, it's such a heart-rending condition. It seems like these women are supported by some organization. I will be very happy to donate, if you can provide the address/weblink of this organization. Thanks.
THE PROBLEM IS YOU DONT FOLLOW YOUR CULTURE ....WOMEN ARE ALWAYS UNDER THE PROTECTION OF THERE FATHERS BROTHERS HUSBANDS AND SONS (IF THEY ARE INCAPABLE OF DOING IT THEMSELVES).
pranav chaudhary yep. And who do you think pays for the old age homes ? In Western societies they don't leave their elderly helpless, like we have done to these ladies.
pranav chaudhary how do you know that there aren't more abandoned parents elsewhere in India ? Have you done a survey where everyone answered honestly ?
our culture is still best. its just that our society is worst. there is a diffrnce bten culture nd society. our culture says that a woman can remarry. but our society dsnt allows
Preeti Bhardwaj do you know that even in Western culture they have the emphasis on respecting their elders. It's just they don't force individuals to follow them (unlike our Khap panchayats) because they understand that respect has to be earned, not forced. Stop making excuses.
If God will give me a chance , I wish to visit this place to meet those mother's that was abandoned bcoz of their traditions , and the most painful part the children they asked to God and raised with so much love turned their backs on them, It breaks my heart, I am so sad , where is the family value???
Heart Wrenching ...Cruel .. We the People are cursed for We have allowed this to happen... How will these Prove their Citizenship Ostracised and oppressed for life
these mothers shows a of actual simple life which a human could live even after terrible past one should learn real calmness from them, great respect to the mothers and hope they still live longer life with devotion and calmness
The channel is awesome major fact based on true survey ....its crazy you might not be NGO but u r working great please reply i want to join the intiative
How can you let you elderly mother live like that, they are alone and abandoned. When my father died, my mother moved in with my brother and his family. He is the oldest son, that why he was lucky enough to have our mother live with him. If my mom had nowhere else to go, I would let my mom live with me and my family. I would not care if my wife objected to her living with us. A wife can always be replaced, but you only get one mother in life. I feel bad for these women, at least they have a place to live.
+heera mirza They were abandoned by selfish society and given shelter by the religious. There is bliss in being without any desire. Everyone cannot understand this.
These loving mother made me cry its not curse on these people its on their families.may almighty god always bless them 🙏🏻
Nicely said Shoaib bhai... Their families doesn't deserve such beautiful souls

Varanasi is a city of dark & bitter truth, secrets.
One should have to visit once in his/her life this city. It will give you something different.
