It’d be sick to see a video on just you discussing how you get out of skate slumps. I feel like I always get a month-2 months no fear constant progression then immediately after get in a slump where I lose all the tricks I just gained. It’d be interesting to hear how you get out of these
I've been looking forward to this one from you man. Not your best tutorial though. A little more of a 'broad' explanation than I would prefer. Still lots of love. You seem like a pretty good guy and your skating is great. You should head to the Des Moines skatepark hahah, short notice but its new and supposed to be pretty nice. Peace man. P.s- and speaking of broad, this might be an obscure or odd topic but I would love to know your thoughts on 'what to do with your arms' when you setup, execute, and land different styles of tricks i.e. grinds, spins flip tricks, transition so on and so on. Of course you want to lift your arms with your body on flatground tricks requiring pop but I think there could be more to talk about on the subject. Anyway, peace
I would also like to add that a ghettobird is only a ghettobird when the 180 part is not a revert, but got caught in the air and finished before touch down. It's the 'bird' part about the ghettobird basically. :) Definitely a skateboarding classic when it comes to Kareem Campbell. If you want to know what that looks like watch : /watch?v=BYOvDT1J0BE
got any advice or knowledge you could share on how to get into the mindset to commit to tricks I know there's no secret that just makes you commit but any advice really helps thanks!
Master the basics. Everytime you go for a sesh try a couple new tricks, or try to perfect a couple already in your bag. Most importantly break down your tricks, if you want to learn backside flips then make sure you have kickflips and back 180s. You don't have to skate this way but once you begin to master the basics, the intermediate and advanced tricks become easier. Learning it in somewhat of an order will help build your confidence, so if you got those backside 180s down and your not scared of commitment then a backside flip is pretty similar it just rotates under your feet. Good advice for commitment is to psych yourself up, attempt the trick and then the following attempts won't be as scary.

I mean berrics calls what would be a mirror image of a fakie front big spin BACKSIDE when nollie, which still makes no sense to me but like you said call it whatever you want lol
Fakie means literally rolling backwards. You’re doing tricks rolling backwards. Nollie is NOT considered backwards, which is why a trick in fakie, (for instance, a fakie frostside flip) looks the same as a nollie backside flip. It’s just the consideration of either rolling ‘backwards’ (fakie), or rolling forwards in your true stance, but popping off the nose (nollie).
