"I've talked about big bosses 8 years ago" DANG it really hits home how long this series has been going (and how long I've been watching it. I WATCHED THAT EPISODE WHEN IT CAME OUT).
@@cloverandanais Oh there is don't worry but you don't have to fight it, only between 6-23 standard Metal Gear units (depending on the difficulty level) that are guarding it
"So on monday im writing the Friday feature, and you're fighting the adamantoise." "Yes." "Tuesday I'm recording the Friday feature, and you're fighting the adamantoise." "Yes." "Wednesday I'm editing the Friday feature and you're fighting the adamantoise." "Yes." "This is ridiculous! Im just doing your work!" "Yes!" 😊
Im surprised that none of the Shadow of the Colossus made the list at all. I loved that entire game, its not new or flashy but that was such a fun game.
@@connorpfeifer9143 You are probably right and I completely forgot about it, there have been to many Friday features to remember what he has talked about, unless its water physics or FF
Demon Souls Dragon God and Spiderman 2 Sand Man were pretty big recent bosses for me. Great video as usual Rob. Thanks for being one of the best things about Fridays again :-)
An enormous boss that comes to mind for me is the Icon of Sin from Doom Eternal. That's what the development team for Doom 2 Hell on Earth wanted to do, but the technology of the time and their inexperience with programming stopped them from doing that.
Wow, this throws me back. Your original video on the topic was my first ever PSA video and what got me into the channel. Nice to see an part 2 of it.^^
My favorite ‘future’ bosses that are way too big: The Ruby, Emerald and Ultimate Weapon from Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3! Seriously how are they going to pull these monstrosities off!?
Yes! I've been hoping you'd revisit some of the old list topics. You mentioned my favorite, which was Adamantoise in FF15, beating them was the last trophy I needed for the platinum.
@@deathbykonami5487 Wyzen became planet sized. Asura had to become planet sized to even fight Chakravartin who was big enough to throw entire galaxies out of his hands.
A good recent addition to this list could be the demogorgon boss in Stellar Blade. You spend about 2 hours of the game going up an orbital elevator to find it taking up the entire end of it in space, and you have to hit it multiple times with an overcharged rail gun while already falling back into Earth's atmosphere
Love the entries and the humour, these PS Access Friday vids are good set up for weekend gaming! Regarding big bosses, wouldn't the biggest boss be, technically, Loc Station 13 (Closure Satellite) from Armored Core VI? Though, technically, that is more of a stage, but it is the final objective, right?
Legend of DRAGOOOON. My god. I ground for days to get my HP to 250 K to take out what I thought was an End Boss just to find out that Noooooo, you need a Minimum of 500 K HP for the Final Boss. Minimum. 300 hours well spent!
My first thought was the oil rig boss from Nier: Automata, but... Yeah, these ones are probably a few magnitudes bigger than even that. (That said, I do wonder how tall the final boss of FF6 would be in total.)
I am playing FF16 now. But I learned how fun Ben Starr is thanks to the channel. The problem now is I struggle to take Clive seriously because Ben Starr is such a lovable dork while Clive is so serious. I keep seeing Ben starr in my head acting all serious and it cracks me up.
I know it's silly but i actually cried as a huge wave of nostalgic emotion rocked through me watching this weeks friday feature. i've truly missed these.
The 1st boss Dominion from Sundered. That game did a great job showing off the scale of this boss. I was completely blown away by that fight and the game. Very underrated.
The first time my jaw dropped at the sheer size of a boss was the Spider Mech in Jak 3 on the PS2- chasing that thing as it lumbered across the desert was a blast, and an incredible testament to Naughty Dog getting everything they could out of the hardware!
Hello all. Love your Chanel.🎉 I love my PS4, my 1st open world experience was horizon zero dawn. I was blown away by it. Enjoyed fenyx rising. Please can you recommend some third person open world games.🙏🙏🙏
Classic episode, excellent picks! Mine would be JENOVA Lifeclinger and Alexander from Rebirth, Kala from Indivisible, Metal Gear Cocoon from Peacewalker, the Genie from Dark Cloud, Tate Eboshi from Nioh 2 (because she's too fast for that size) and Lavos from Chrono Trigger.
If only we could fight the Bahamut in his size that emerged from Dalamud on FFXIV. He is estimated to be 6.6 km long with a wingspan of 24 km. He could be entire duty just running on his body similar to Cronos or the Horus. One of the binding coils has a raid where the arena is the palm of his hand. The version we do fight is substantially smaller.
Man, the cinematic of Louisoix facing off against Bahamut is still one of my favorite scenes. When they show the sheer scale of Bahamut towering over Louisoix and the battlefield, it still gives me chills. I think I need to go watch the "Answers" video again now. ❤
Surprised you didn’t include the Phase 3 form of the Act 2 boss fight from Baldur’s Gate 3. Puny compared to some on this list, maybe, but immense in the context. I remember thinking “Fighting a multi-phase god-like being? What is this, Final Fantasy or something?”
For me Dagon and Mother Hydra from Dark Corner of The Earth. They aren't too massive but the stage and camera angle makes them so menacing and threatening.
Never forgetting Quadraxis of Metroid Prime 2. Not even Kraid or Mogenar in the sequel was that gargantuan. Samus does a cool pose when landing from destroying it- even she knows she's just set a new record for 'the largest thing I've ever killed'.
My pick is the fittingly named Giganto from Sonic Frontiers. All of the bosses are enormous, but Giganto is the first one you fight, and he gets the honour of setting the tone for Sonic's most dangerous adventure yet. To put things in perspective, Sonic needs to transform into Super Sonic, which is usually reserved for the final boss of each game, just to touch him!
Arch Bishop in Lies of P. It's big to the point that you can't always see his attacks until he attacks you because you can't see the whole character model.
I missed out on the gigantous boss fight the first play through of dd2. I took a different route not knowing that the soldiers would end up fighting him without me.
For my Build in Nioh 2 I had to get a perfect drop of Lady Osakabes soul- she’s both a hard as nails boss, AND at the end of a really annoying, hard and long level…..it was a real slog. If you need more, the mining mech in Star Wars Jedi survivor is incredible, and terrifying
The reaper on ranoc from mass effect 3 still feels personal taking it down. The archdeamon from dragon age orgins man that was epic the culmination of everything you've done at that point all leading to the archdemon.
Super old one but the last boss in Xenon 2 was (at the time) amazing! Yes... I'm old. Also the last boss in Shadow of the beast, was basically a toe...
Probably was on the previous list but I’m still gonna throw it out there, the reaper in mass effect that you take out in foot. For me it was real nerve racking and one of the best fights in the game.
I can’t remember the name of the boss but in resistance 2 I remember leaping around buildings and mostly running away from something destroying the city. That was a great game.
1:06 i’m so very sad that there are a lot of people too young or not as well versed in gaming to get this reference. MG saga is so underrated. And Snake Eater is a masterpiece, the final scene with The Boss having to sacrifice herself…..😢 I can’t even type it out I’m already tearing up.
I have a great soft spot for Tidal Wave from the ps2 Transformers game. Something about its slow movement that really conveyed the size of it. And I shot missiles at its head which it matrix dodged and proceded to finger wag at me for trying to damage it. Really a fun fight
How about Nefasturris from Devil May Cry (2?) having a boss the size of a building was not only really cool but a really impressive technical achievement on the PS2.
I'm a little surprised that Gongen Wyzen from Asura's Wrath isn't on here. Dude was literally bigger than the planet itself, and he tried to kill Asura by simply poking the world XD
I nominate Zorah Magnaros from Monster Hunter World. An elder dragon with a volcano on its back, and in the opening makes the ship you arrived in look like a bath toy.

The restraint of not adding a single Metal Gear boss. Well done, Rob.
Probably because there's not one bigger than sahelanthropus. I hope. 🍀

I agree, especially the Biggest Boi: Malus!
@@LadyLeomon Maybe its just the perspective but yea he felt so big to fight against!
I'm guessing it's because he put SotC in the first video.

I love your Friday Features! I forgot how long I've been watching them until you mentioned a list from 8 years ago. Guess I am old now
This was a great video. Probably cause it had bossss from pretty much every game I’ve played. All fantastic games.
I have no idea why, but seeing Rob rub his head against that monitor had me laughing my head off! It was just so random and unexpected.
I've been blessed with 2 Delsin appearances in one video, 3 if you count big Delsin. What a great feature!
Yes! I've been hoping you'd revisit some of the old list topics. You mentioned my favorite, which was Adamantoise in FF15, beating them was the last trophy I needed for the platinum.
Asura's Wrath boss was the size of the earth.
Bigger actually
Which one? Wyzen or Chrakravartin?
The only reason it didn't make it here was it featured in part 1.
I just posted this. If anything, that game deserves a remake. It was ahead of its time.
@@deathbykonami5487 Wyzen became planet sized. Asura had to become planet sized to even fight Chakravartin who was big enough to throw entire galaxies out of his hands.
Another suitable entry is Rob......from Delsen's POV.
Tidal Wave in the PS2 transformers game, I mean he's so big he makes the regular transformers look like toys.
So big that the boss was pretty much the entire level itself until he transformed for the fight itself.
What a fun entry! Great Friday feature entries recently! Well done, Rob! Well done, my boy.
