And in Russia if people have met before and have become friends 'drunk yuri'. It is tradition in the Russia culture to hug and give small kisses if you are friends, family and even lovers. Most of the time it isn't used in public because they are very prideful but you see it.
Ummmmm episode 10 made it really obvious that Victor though Yuuri likes him before he showed up at his place in episode 1... he was really surprised when Yuri mentioned that he had no recollection of the post competition Gala party the previous season....so as far as Victor was concerned, Yuuri and he had a bond and it was Yuuri himself who asked him to coach him (not some thing he just decided randomly) and from Victor's perspective, Yuuri's overenthusiasm to be with him that night no doubt meant that Yuuri was a huge fan....hence the very Victor-like fanservice. He also made it really obvious that he doesn't do anything like this to anyone else because Yuuri has always been the only (special) person to have reached out to him so whole-heartedly in his lonely life (given the only living thing he considered family beforehand was his dog Makkachin... it also kinda explains why he's such a touchy-feelsy person). There's been no mention of Victor's own family when we even know Yurio's (grandpa). It was also mentioned many times that his winning program, while done spectacularly, didn't suit his normal style and the reason why the video of Yuuri skating it blew up the way it did was because it suited Yuuri's. Victor's commented many times that Yuuri's body "creates music" so I think it's pretty obvious that coaching Yuuri gave him some inspiration when he was so close retiring. It's a win-win situation for both of them. So while this video was enjoyable watch, you seemed to not be on Mat Pat's level quite yet considering you completely ignored the counter-argument. Episode 10's ending along with other info from the creators (the reason why Yuuri and Yurio share the same name is because Yurio was supposed to be the MC originally with Victor as his senpai/rival and there was no Yuuri but the creators thought the Japanese audience will have a harder time relating to him for reasons including his race so the ended up creating his complete opposite in Yuuri and gave him the same name...some Yurio's original personality traits ended up being given to Yuuri too so it's kinda like a big mash-up) kinda debunked it... XDDD

XD In Ep 10, Yuri is the 'Playboy' who seduced (got halfway naked, danced provocatively, and DRY-HUMPED) "the most beautiful woman there" (Victor), only to leave town shortly after (went back to Japan). Victor likely didn't think Yuri's invitation to go to Japan and be a coach was serious until our boy performs his FS in a viral video. At the time, Victor is at a crossroads. But when he sees the 'Playboy" perform "STAY CLOSE TO ME", this is his sign to go to Japan and find 'Life and Love'. :) The expression on Victor's face as he spits out his beer says it all when Yuri admits to not remembering the banquet. Up to that point, he assumed Yuri's lack of response to his advances was him playing coy LOL. I'm all for provocative theories that reveal a new layer to a character. But I think this theory misses the mark by a mile, especially when it underplays the importance of the Banquet Scene. The Banquet scene is GROUND ZERO for Victuuri. It's here Yuri plants the idea in Victor's head to become a coach. It's here that Yuri becomes a blip on Victor's map. And it's here Yuri shows the full force of his Eros. If I could compare this scene to any other, it's the ballroom scene in Cinderella. Mind you, I don't believe Victor instantly fell for Yuri - the 'Playboy' theme mentions about the 'beautiful woman' refusing the Playboy's advances before ultimately falling for him in the end. I think the driving nail to Victor's heart happened when Yuri offered him a new path in life by becoming a coach. It gives him a new source of 'inspiration. This theory is very off, the actual evidence you're stating is very flimsy. Yes, Victor got out of the bath and looked at Yuri, but this was more of Victor trying to be more polite without thinking instead of him trying to flash Yuri. Victor is literally telling Yuri that he's going to be his coach in that scene, it would make sense and be in character for Victor to stand up and tell him that and not realize he's naked. And as another person stated, people in Russian wouldn't have a problem with doing that because they're naturally very touchy and don’t have big boundaries. Also when Victor was grabbing Yuri, again, this was Victor evaluating his student. He doesn't know boundaries that well, and while Yuri is initially uncomfortable, he soon becomes used to Victor vibrant personality and warms up to him. Also, while Victor did disturb his sleep the second time, in the instance where they just met. He wanted to have a sleepover with Yuri and learn all of his common interests so they can have a good relationship as coach and pupil, he isn't trying to fuck Yuri. Finally, the reason why Victor came out to Japan was that Yuri had asked Victor while drunk to be his coach, something he would've meant when he was sober because of his love and admiration for Victor. Victor came out to Japan to teach Yuri not only because of his performance and talent that he saw when Yuri did Victor routine but because Victor wanted something new and was done with the monotony of the skating world. He wanted something fresh, and he found that with the challenge of making Yuri a gold medalist. This entire theory makes no sense and just feels like grasping to take a beloved character and make them seem like a bad guy

Especially because there is no point in the series where yuri is like "actually, i think i am in love with victor now". He was just way too shy to say it or acknowledge it, and they even say this later in the anime. Just for the record, there's a legal reason why the age of consent in Japan is 13. Sex is a very difficult thing to regulate in a legal sense because it's an action that can be physically performed by people who legally cannot even consent to it. In the US, we have these things commonly called "Romeo and Juliet laws" that basically smear the definitive legal line and ease punishment in such cases where, for example, one member of a sexually active couple reaches 18 while the other is still 17. Japan doesn't have that. If two 12-year-olds in Japan have consensual sex, they can both be brought up on charges of statutory rape. Japan approaches the "Romeo and Juliet laws" from the opposite end. They set the age lower than most people would even actually start having sex and then establish local laws in each prefecture that require minors engaged in sexual activity to be relatively close in age which effectively raises the de-facto age of consent back to 18. So while on paper 13 seems like a young age for consent, it is actually very similar to how the laws are set in the US.

There might be 1 or 2 that don't specifically have it that high but they have some other form of "Romeo and Juliet-type laws" to cover the gray areas that grant the Japanese judicial system the same sort of prosecutorial powers that the US has. It's not like child rape is legal there. They just use a different method of laws to achieve the same thing.

Definitely ignores the fact that being touchy is normal in Russian culture (hell, in Imperial Russia it was normal for men to kiss each other on the lips as a greeting and most women still do social cheek kissing when they see each other). Meanwhile in Japanese culture, PDA is wickedly taboo. Ive heard it’s even weird for couples to even hold hands for extended periods of time in public, much less kiss and be caressed like Viktor does. Victor acted the way he did because he was under the impression that Yuuri had mutual feelings due to Yuuri’s behavior at the party they met at. Of course he was very bold and that definitely walked on a line in my book, but your argument that his actions have malicious intent is completely contradicted by the fact that Viktor thought he had consent to act in said bold and handsy manner. They were certainly very handsy in those shots we see of the party. Also, as another commenter asked, where does Viktor get creepy with Yurio? He even has him skate the more innocent routine rather than the more raunchy Eros one so I don’t know where you’re seeing that.
The anime made it very clear that they had met, danced, and partied together before Viktor decided to visit. Yuri was also all over him that night. He didn't just show up naked to a stranger. Viktor remembered everything and thought Yuri did too.
Not to forget when Chris appears from behind Yuri and grabs his butt, as they both danced so close and almost naked together! So, Chris does nothing different than Victor does, they have the same understanding of the situation. Also, when Victor and Chris jump on his bed, he only complaints that "they are ice cold", he's actually fine with them.

yeah, we all thought it was weird... until ep10 and found out Victor ran to Japan assuming Yuuri was super DtF and looked back at early episodes and realised he'd cried himself to sleep with Machachin when he was rejected after he asked to sleep with him that first night. His original inspiration was fueled by seeing Viktor on tv; which is something even the current no. 1 male figure skater in the world, Mr. Yuzuru Hanyu did while a young boy, by watching performances of the Russian great, Mr. Evgeni Plushenko. The only thing is, Yuuri's respectful hero-worship bordered on true feelings. And this came out in the open while he was drunk (because he earlier lost due to him being distraught over his childhood pet dog /dying/). He confessed his pure feelings, in front of all his fellow athletes, during an after-party of a figure skating grand pre final gala. So... um, it was seen (and recorded) by not a handful, but a whole bunch of elites, young, old, men, women.... everyone. Viktor is not someone who lived with his eyes and ears glued to the outside world. He lived in his little bubble of a world, comprising of coach Yakov, daily practice, extra practice, competition dates, venues, travelling, background music tracks, costumes, new programmes, statistics, improved jumps (so-called "quads"), and of course, Makkachin, and several other figure skaters who were often in competitions with him. On top of that he had to deal with social media, interviews, media, fans, and every other f*cking sh*t that comes with fame. Do you honestly think he is some other alien creature with some ultra evil master plan...?!???!? His official introduction to Yurio was /after/ Yurio was promoted from Junior division to senior. That little encounter while he was still very much younger, is anything like a meeting between a primary student with the head boy, where they have a friendly, (and afterwards forgotten) moment. For Yuuri, it's an utter shock, seeing as /he/ was punch drunk during the glorious confession, and has absolutely no memory of the night. I heard an even better theory on this. Since the first meeting between Victor and Yuri was at the party, Victor met Yuri when he was drunk and all up on him. He was clingy to him and carefree in his dancing. Victor liked that and saw that as his personality so that was why he was so open to Yuri during his first appearance in Japan. You noticed he was interested in him since he looked at him specifically when Yuri left defeated during the grand prix. He was kind of expecting yuri to say hi so seeing that video some time later of Yuri dancing his score was inspiring since he was losing inspiration and motivation. So basicly Yuri is his muse and he approached him the same way Yuri did at the party- all clingy and such. Also you can think of it as a trope. Since Japan anime see Europeans as totally affection such as kissing everyone of the lips and being blue eyes and such.

This is such a weak argument overall. Yuri on Ice is so good because it defies the tropes of power imbalances in anime. You took the tropes from anime and pushed Viktor to fit into the poor light you wanted to paint him in from the start by taking things completely out of context.

Ok so, these few statements completely debunk your argument: Yuri could've gone to the police any time if he felt he was being sexually harassed. No, no, Yuri liked the attention Victor was giving him. You can make the argument that maybe he was too scared, but no, you actually can't. He blushed every time he was around Victor. Yuri was enthusiastic and pumped whenever Victor was near. Besides that, the worst thing that Victor's done to even be considered sexual harassment was standing up naked in the hot spring. But you can't even consider that harassment, as Yuri never complained. That's how you differ between sexual harassment. If someone is consistently BOTHERING someone sexually, then you have sexual harassment. So you probably noticed the key word: BOTHERED. If someone's unbothered by it, it's not sexual harassment, even if it's sexual in nature. You can't harass someone if they don't mind what you're doing, and Yuri definitely didn't mind anything Victor was doing. So no, Victor would not be going to jail.
Okay, so while I do see the point of your theory, you are forgetting a huge point. When Yuri first met Victor, he literally grinded against him. He flirted, messed around, and even pole danced in front of him. Way later in the story, it is revealed that Yuri doesn't remember any of that, but Victor does. The whole "flashing" him thing isn't that big of a deal considering everything that happened. He's confident, and that's not a bad thing. I can see your point of the rest of your theory, but I think your first point isn't quite valid. I know you put a lot of time and effort into this theory, and it is well done, but I really think you should expand more on that point. Maybe a part 2? Either way, it was still pretty cool to see
Yuri wasn’t even a teenager he was 22 when he met victor, and became his couch at 23/24. Sure getting all handsy with out permission is not okay but in the end they loved each other subconsciously anyway. Plus I don’t victor would ever do anything with yurio not because of the age or the attitude just No way

Me: Oh another anime theory (sees victor behind bars) Me: OBJECTION! But seriously interesting video but I think you missed some important key points in the series. Episodes 4, 5, and 6 have a huge time gap Ep 4 taking place in early May, Ep 5 in late summer, Ep 6 early November so there is a huge gap that leaves us to interpret that at some moment offscreen they already might have been romantically involved as in ep 6 Yuuri doesn't mind when Victor is hugging him in public anymore (when he's not drunk) so it does kinda debunk 4:05 as Yuuri is more uncomfortable with the pressure of failing than Victor's presence. In Ep 10 Victor could've easily took advantage of a drunk Yuuri but didn't in fact Yuuri was the one who took the first move very boldly and publicly. Victor was quite astonished by his bold nature and wanted to meet him but was more or less heartbroken to know he didn't compete in World's and he picks the song Stammi Vicino Aria to express his longing for a meaningful relationship (hence the aria version) and that's where the viral video made him figure out where Yuuri is and coach him not just to get to know him more but to also make a new legacy. Victor was only touchy with Yuuri because of both cultural differences and how Victor first perceived Yuuri. It was revealed that in Ep 10 Yuuri didn't remember a single thing to the shock of Victor. Victor had thought Yuuri was this bold, amorous party animal and thought the best way to approach him was to respond to said boldness and in russian culture being touchy is more of a normal thing so Victor was used to this idea. Yuuri, on the other hand immediately rejects his advances and only then does Victor later realize who Yuuri truly is and what I heard was sometime offscreen Victor regrets making advances towards Yuuri for both embarrassing himself and realizing the anxiety Yuuri goes through in his life. Other than that this seems like a good premise for a dark, angsty fanfic
What I am about to say may not be accurate, this is merely my interpretation with some experiences thrown through it! Viktor being clingy could be a misunderstanding and he maybe isn't realizing that he is being creepy. This all could have started because of Yuri when he was drunk basically begging him to be his coach, Viktor ofcourse may have created his feelings since that part. When he saw that video he ofcourse remembers that request Yuri made and actually is willing to give up promises to other people and kind of break friendships. Since it was a PUBLIC BATH the logic is everyone is naked (as far as I know) yes it is kind of straightforward just to flash to someone is weird but! there is a clash of feelings here. Yuri may not remember what happened that drunk night but Viktor did so he immediatly thinks that they have a connection and treats him as a friend. Yuri is dazzed by all of this suddenly happening at once and has to have time to process this. How would you feel if someone you look up to suddenly came over because of a video and starts talking about stuff that you barely remember? Confused right? Now I do not have any evidence regarding this but what I am about to say is merely experience and common sense. The sleeping thing you mentioned, me and my friend do that. (and yes we are both of the same gender) one of us always tends to be very clingy (mostly me) while the other just gets dazzled by it. Now maybe Viktor still hasn't really figured out his feelings for Yuri so until he does he is treating him as a close friend. Yuri is disturbed by it since well personality wise and cultural difference maybe! The Yurio thing, I do not see how he is manipulating him. Yurio has some anger issues but so does every teen like me, I am well aware that I am hurting and making it hard for my parents but sometimes I have to speak my mind. So what Yurio does is get angry because he made a promise but broke it. So he would get jealous of Yuri a bit to a little hatred towards him but was later resolved. He realizes what he has done and doesn't want to be a burden to anyone so he decided to leave not to hurt them more. This is normal teenage behaviour and I really do not see how Viktor plays a part of Yurio's side. He simple broke a promise which hurted Yurio. Later on in the anime Viktor starts sorting out his feelings and as wel does Yuri. They both come to a point where they understand each other and sort the rest out together. So they end up being together. To sum this all up This whole anime in my interpretation was just a cultural border, mixed emotions, mis translations of feelings, and innocent intentions. Entertaining theory, but everything is taken wildly out of context and ignores one key factor: Viktor was under the impression Yuuri remembered the banquet and was just playing coy/shy the entire time. When you conveniently forget this fact, then of course he’s going to seem like a perverted asshole. He’s a sexual guy, definitely, but far from the extent you put him at. Still interesting to think about regardless of how little it actually pertains to canon. (Edit: another good thing to mention about Viktor’s character is that he’s extremely inexperienced when it comes to dealing with his feelings. This behaviour seems like an understandable reaction to him, especially being around characters like Georgi (who is the only other named skater in Viktor’s home rink that’s in his age group), who is over the top in the way he interacts with love interests.)
This was a great theory, personally I'd always seen yuri as the one who was alittle obsessive and creepy since he got a dog and named him after Victor before they even knew eachother, but this video has given me a whole new perspective

He says that victor visited yuri for no reason, and then later contradicts himself. Victor is a character that clearly has little social skills, because his coach hated teaching him and he was only ever shown to hang out with his dog (before meeting yuri). Victor was also surprised when yuri couldn't remember what happened last year and victors behaviour towards yuri was based on the idea that yuri could remember being cute to victor and asking him to be his coach. You know at the beginning of the show I thought Victor being extremely Hansi was kind of creepy too. But then the episode 10 happen and dear lord everything started making sense, so in ep 10 we get a flashback when Yuri got super drunk and starting dance battling people in the middle of the banquet and dance in a strip pool with Chris and later dry humped Victor and begged him to be his coach. That's why Victor dropped to everything in his life to go help Yuri, because he wanted to reconnect and that's why he acted overly touchy and flirtatious because he thought that's how Yuri was, and again I rewatch the series and noticed the Victor isn't particularly touchy or flirtatious with many people, he is overly friendly but the only other person who we see him act this way towards is Chris but again it's shown that their best friends and have known each other for a long time and are only a few years apart . great video but just wanted to point that out and I hope you have a great day

I definitly agree that the beginning catalysts that brought Yuri and Victor together are pretty questionable. Especially Yuri's obsession with Victor and Victor at the time being pretty dissatisfied with his Olympic glory. Victor wanted someone to spice up his life and who better a candidate than Yuri (a young and upcoming star who Victor had found attractive at a party). I wish this series would have shown us Victor's inner mindset more instead of over simplifying him at times. There was a deep sadness that he had to bare for a long time (the loneliness, the dissatisfaction of his routines, the pressures of being in the Olympic limelight). Anyways, thanks for sharing your perspective, it really got me thinking haha 😆
Did you not watch episode 10?............Victor knew yurri. After getting rejected on taking picture. In the banquet party or whatever it's called victor noticed yurri. Yurri became drunk. He was super outgoing, confident (which usual yurri is not) and had dance competition with yurrio and Chris. And danced with victor too. At the end drunk yurri ASKED victor to be his coach. After returning to Japan , yurri's recreating of victor's routine went viral. Victor saw it and went to Japan to be yurri's coach. . And victor was not being CReEpY. In the banquet drunk yurri was the total opposite of real yurri so victor thought he is a outgoing, Confident, flirty guy. And thought he remembers very thing that happened in the banquet party. That's why victor was super flirty and cLiNGy to yurri. But in episode 10 yurri said he doesn't remember anything and victor was shook after knowing that he forgot everything and felt embarrassed for being so flirty with him. Because he thought he remembers everything. Please do your research before saying anything.

In my personal opinion Yuri has liked Victor for a very long time before Victor even knew who he is. I also think that Victor fell in love with Yuri at the party when Yuri asked Victor to be his coach/when they were dancing. And also this is anime and weird stuff happens in anime. Episode ten shows that Viktuuri had met long before the onsen meet. However, Yuuri just doesn’t remember it because he was black out drunk. He pole danced for Viktor, took his pants off and practically jumped him and begged him to be his coach. Viktor was so shocked by this, because no one had ever approached him like that; instantly he felt attraction and curiosity towards Yuuri. Yuuri was the one in instigated the touchy-feely, flirtatiousness. So Viktor naturally returned it. So of course, when Viktor saw the video of Yuuri skating to his program, he was once again inspired and reminded of Yuuri’s request to be his coach. Viktor didn’t know Yuuri was BLACK OUT DRUNK! He didn’t know Yuuri had no recollection of the night at all. Al he knew was that this Japanese skater was enamoured with him and returned what Yuuri gave. Viktor Nikiforov is absolutely quirky and fun and totally, unimaginably in love with Yuuri Katsuki.
2 things, well, 3. 1. You're assuming I wanted this show to be politically correct or something. That is your first mistake. I'm an adult who watched a show that as far as I know is geared towards adults. As such, I don't expect it to teach us right from wrong, because we should already know. This show very much embodies a fantasy that shouldn't come true in real life in the way that it did. I mean, would I want a star I'm into to pursue me and sleep on top of me? Sure, in theory. Would it be a good idea in practice? Probably not. Would I be pushing them away because of this in spite of being into them? Most likely. Might it confuse them? I could imagine. 2. Victor isn't supposed to be read as a stand up guy, I believe. Victor's intention from the get-go was to sleep with Yuri. Which I think is what their "first" meeting is supposed to convey. Being Yuri's coach was just a means to an end. I mean, a means that was more exciting than Victor's career had been recently, but still, a means. Killing two birds with one stone, if you will. I fully believe that had Yuri turned out to be the person Victor initially thought he was, Victor would have slept with him, then left at the latest after the Grand Prix Final. Or more likely long before, given his propensity to "forget" promises. Yuri even mentions this in a way. Given that this show brings skating as someone's essence being expressed through dance, means Yuri telling us that Victor's skating performance is one of a playboy that loves 'em and leaves 'em, is important. Which I think he did with Chris. Yuri dancing Victor's Eros as the "woman" the playboy loves and leaves instead of as the playboy is Yuri's way of acknowledging his feelings for Victor through dance. But also telling us he expects Victor to leave him. I say acknowledging his feelings, because I truly believe that Yuri was attracted to Victor and arguably even in love with Victor before he ever met him. That doesn't mean that Yuri was comfortable acting on those feelings though. Nor was it okay for Victor to try and push him into acting on those feelings. Having said that, Victor's initial actions are fully directed at drunk Yuri, because that is the version of Yuri Victor was introduced to and because of that his only point of reference. It takes Victor a while to understand that the shy, reserved when sober Yuri isn't a facade Yuri is putting up for Victor to seduce him into dropping. I think it's a surprise to both Yuri and Victor himself when Victor actually falls in love with Yuri and doesn't want to leave at all. Ever. Something that Victor alludes to I think after the ring exchange when he says something along the lines of not having focused on loving and living in about 20 years. He also talks about Yuri changing people for the better without realizing it. I genuinely believe he considers himself one of those people. 3. On the subject of Yurio. Yuri and Yurio as a couple would still be illegal whether Yuri pursued him or not, since Yuri is 23 while Yurio is 15 and can't legally consent. Victor has a way of making people fall in love with him. From Chris, to Yuri, to Yurio. As mentioned, I genuinely believe Chris and Victor have a history in that respect. I suspect that is also where Chris' association of skating with sex comes from. Yuri we see Victor aggressively pursuing. Yurio he initially doesn't really want to be around. He ends up coaching Yurio, not because he wants to, but because he's held to a promise he made years ago. Maybe he thought he could chase Yurio away with his inappropriateness, because it was obvious he wasn't about to choose Yurio over Yuri when coaching and sleeping with Yuri were his goals. I'd even go so far as saying things click in Yurio's head once Yuri dances Eros, conveying a level of emotion that's fully directed at, acknowledged and received by Victor. When Yurio leaves after the Eros vs. Agape competition, he says it's because of Yuri's performance. And it's easy to assume it's just about how good it is. But I think it's much more about the fact that both Yuri and Yurio were battling for Victor's affections through said competition and in that respect, the eros of it all, Yurio lost. 1. Because it was never a competition. Victor had made his choice even before Yurio got there. Even the piece he gave each to dance might have been him setting the tone for what he wanted his relationship with each of them to be. Giving Yurio Agape when he in fact wanted Eros whilst giving Yuri Eros, when Yuri intially wanted Agape. 2. Yurio simply couldn't win. Because of the goals Victor had in mind and given that I do think Yurio had feelings for Victor, Victor couldn't choose Yurio without it amounting to pedophilia. Also evidenced by Yurio's clear jealousy at Yuri and Victor's relationship throughout the show and his promise to Victor to use his win to break them apart, specifically when it came to the rings. Victor though, seems to have used this to his advantage. Basically alluding to the gold ring exchange as the real Grand Prix Final win for him and Yuri and encouraging Yurio to win the actual Final behind Yuri's back to give Yuri an excuse other than loving him to stay with him (Victor).
There is absolutely nothing creepy about Viktors actions when it came to Yuri, they made that blatantly obvious at the end of episode 10. Viktor thought Yuri remembered that evening, that is why he was so flirty and "handsy" with him. But if you really look closer, you can see that Viktor treasures Yuri (and Maccachin) above all else, I mean the man cried when Yuri said "let's end this". And was just as pissed when Yurio said that the ring was garbage. I really think that Viktor fell head over heels in love with Yuri that night at the banquet, and it was the first time that he implicitly and utterly trusted and loved someone. The same goes for Yuri, it wasn't just administration he had for Viktor there were feelings all along. He just didn't know what label to put to it, and he had huge insecurities about himself. Yuri felt he wasn't good enough for someone like Viktor and that someone so famous wouldn't even give him the time of day Throughout the anime, they showed us how Viktor helped Yuri get over those insecurities and be more confident in himself, basically Viktor taught him to bring out his true "Eros". And Viktor was helped by Yuri, to understand what it means to truly love someone and wanting to fight for that special part you have in your life, in other words Yuri taught Viktor to bring out his true "Agape". Even Kubou-sensei confirmed that these two can't survive without each other. And that really is not strange behavior that accompanied that fact. I know this is just your personal opinion, but I truly feel like you missed the deeper meaning they showed throughout the anime.

I'm just thinking, and this just might be me..... But if the roles were changed to a female version, then no one would have an issue with this, would they? In fact, I'd go as far to say that it might even have gotten a bigger fan base if they were girls. Because it's not okay for guys to cuddle, or be flamboyant? Girl's in anime always inappropriately touch each other and force other girls into awkward situations... But it's not okay for boys to do that in the same way in anime??? At least yuuri improved, if Viktor wasn't there for him, today there's no the "Flawless" him. Viktor was just a romantic and wacky guy so just let him be, I know that ep1 his actions weren't that appropriate for the first time he met yuuri but he knew that yuuri was one of his biggest fan and being more than a friend with yuuri although his actions weren't appropriate. This doesn't mean that he should be in jail instantly, he's just a loving guy and support yuuri everytime! If he was emotional, strict and selfless guy towards yuuri, he won't have the motivation to be stunning in every competition. In ep 10 revealed yuuri was madly missed Viktor, cuz of viktors happy and romantic actions, whick makes him have feelings for Viktor. As you can see them both blushing when an action motivate them and was satisfied.

Victor's Behavior is because of that time they first met after the competition. When Yuri was drunk, Victor fell in love with yuri because of his actions. And because of yuri's actions and things he was doing, he thought They were already kinda close and probably in love. Yuri was acting very seductive and flirty. So he started acting like that because he thought he remembered everything from that time.
Tara Allen if it is the beginning part, Yuuri was really anxious and was crying in the bathroom if tou cant remember because his poodle died and he ended up on last place for the grand pre finals or whatever its called. First off Yuri has liked and admired Victor since he was younger. Secondly Yuri is 24, while Victor is 26, so not that much difference in age. As far as the tone of their relationship, it is cute. Victor and Yuri start off just trying to get to know one another and gradually fall in love. i love this story line, it is sweet and while there are some sexual tones to it, you don't actually see anything bad happen.
Chris creeps me out more that victor plus if you actually watched closely and heard background info from the creator you’d know it’s partly his personality (flirty and whatever else) and yuuri actually liked victor since quite a long time, yuuri is by personality wise, a person who even around people he fells comfortable with can get uncomfortable easily and (like me) who is someone who worries about the smallest things. Victor and yuuri’s personality do crash, yes that’s the reason victor seems so far fetched and creepy to some people but if yuuri didn’t have the personality he does you’d definitely feel differently towards this situation.
yuuri isn't spineless. If he didn't like the interactions he was having with Viktor he would have told him. It seems that you have not taken into consideration episode 10. Either way, Japanese anime is always a bit quirky and in many anime, nakedness isn't something to be shy about between 2 people of the same sex especially when using a public bath. The way Viktor acts towards Yuuri is to show his personality as a very flamboyant and outgoing person. In the anime, Viktor is very handsy because in places like Japan foreigners are often times viewed as people who kiss when greeting and stuff which is why Viktor seems very exaggerated. Sadly you don’t get it….not only is it one of the best if not *the* best gay romance in anime but Victor first acted that way because Yuri acted that way towards Victor at the party. Victor thought that Yuri was a sexual womanizer (or should I say man-eater lol) and was trying to reciprocate. Yuri stole Victor’s heart by acting that way and Victor tried to do the same, it’s actually really sweet/sexy and kinda sad. All that time Victor thought that Yuri knew about his feelings and that he was reciprocating Yuri’s love only to find out that Yuri forgot about their first “date” and about how he seduced Victor in the first place. Also I think we both know that Victor would have stopped the second Yuri said “no” but he never did. Victor even designed the Eros set for Yuri because Yuri himself was the handsome man who seduced the most beautiful “maiden” in town and then left without a word. For a conspiracy channel (not that a conspiracy channel is even deserving of respect because in most cases it’s not) you really suck at analyzing things.
I watched have of it and had to stop, did you forget that Victor fell in love with Yuuri and just thought that he was being shy because Yuuri dry humped him at the banquet? That Yuuri was all over him and was even dancing with him? Victor wasn't being creepy in the context that you are describing in your video. Victor has never seen this shy side of Yuuri and thought that he was just playing, I mean he could see Yuuri's potential from the very beginning, maybe he thought that since it's been a whole year Yuuri just needed to warm up to him again. I’m actually scared rn But here’s an idea for a video. Instead of just physical could there have been verbal and emotional manipulation as well ? We all know yuri has body image issues as well as anxiety and depressive issues. And many times throughout the show viktor always calls him piggy even when it’s clear that yuri doesn’t like it. He even denies him food albeit katsudon which is known for not being the healthiest but still. I think there’s more to viktor being interested in yuri and not all of it being malicious. The reason Victor acts so handsy is because of Yuri's actions when he was drunk. Yuri acted so seductive which made Victor fall in love with him. In Victor's eyes, Yuri's drunk actions determined the kind of relationship they'd have. Flirty. Victor thought Yuri remembered it all and just responded to his behaviors, with the same kind of behavior.

Ummmmm episode 10 made it really obvious that Victor though Yuuri likes him before he showed up at his place in episode 1... he was really surprised when Yuri mentioned that he had no recollection of the post competition Gala party the previous season....so as far as Victor was concerned, Yuuri and he had a bond and it was Yuuri himself who asked him to coach him (not some thing he just decided randomly) and from Victor's perspective, Yuuri's overenthusiasm to be with him that night no doubt meant that Yuuri was a huge fan....hence the very Victor-like fanservice. He also made it really obvious that he doesn't do anything like this to anyone else because Yuuri has always been the only (special) person to have reached out to him so whole-heartedly in his lonely life (given the only living thing he considered family beforehand was his dog Makkachin... it also kinda explains why he's such a touchy-feelsy person). There's been no mention of Victor's own family when we even know Yurio's (grandpa). It was also mentioned many times that his winning program, while done spectacularly, didn't suit his normal style and the reason why the video of Yuuri skating it blew up the way it did was because it suited Yuuri's. Victor's commented many times that Yuuri's body "creates music" so I think it's pretty obvious that coaching Yuuri gave him some inspiration when he was so close retiring. It's a win-win situation for both of them.
So while this video was enjoyable watch, you seemed to not be on Mat Pat's level quite yet considering you completely ignored the counter-argument. Episode 10's ending along with other info from the creators (the reason why Yuuri and Yurio share the same name is because Yurio was supposed to be the MC originally with Victor as his senpai/rival and there was no Yuuri but the creators thought the Japanese audience will have a harder time relating to him for reasons including his race so the ended up creating his complete opposite in Yuuri and gave him the same name...some Yurio's original personality traits ended up being given to Yuuri too so it's kinda like a big mash-up) kinda debunked it... XDDD

XD In Ep 10, Yuri is the 'Playboy' who seduced (got halfway naked, danced provocatively, and DRY-HUMPED) "the most beautiful woman there" (Victor), only to leave town shortly after (went back to Japan). Victor likely didn't think Yuri's invitation to go to Japan and be a coach was serious until our boy performs his FS in a viral video. At the time, Victor is at a crossroads. But when he sees the 'Playboy" perform "STAY CLOSE TO ME", this is his sign to go to Japan and find 'Life and Love'. :) The expression on Victor's face as he spits out his beer says it all when Yuri admits to not remembering the banquet. Up to that point, he assumed Yuri's lack of response to his advances was him playing coy LOL.
I'm all for provocative theories that reveal a new layer to a character. But I think this theory misses the mark by a mile, especially when it underplays the importance of the Banquet Scene. The Banquet scene is GROUND ZERO for Victuuri. It's here Yuri plants the idea in Victor's head to become a coach. It's here that Yuri becomes a blip on Victor's map. And it's here Yuri shows the full force of his Eros. If I could compare this scene to any other, it's the ballroom scene in Cinderella. Mind you, I don't believe Victor instantly fell for Yuri - the 'Playboy' theme mentions about the 'beautiful woman' refusing the Playboy's advances before ultimately falling for him in the end. I think the driving nail to Victor's heart happened when Yuri offered him a new path in life by becoming a coach. It gives him a new source of 'inspiration. This is why Victor looks so dead serious after watching the viral video. That expression is his 'FUCK IT. I'M FOLLOWING MY HEART AND DOING THIS SHIT. JAPAN, HERE I COME!!!' moment.

This theory is very off, the actual evidence you're stating is very flimsy. Yes, Victor got out of the bath and looked at Yuri, but this was more of Victor trying to be more polite without thinking instead of him trying to flash Yuri. Victor is literally telling Yuri that he's going to be his coach in that scene, it would make sense and be in character for Victor to stand up and tell him that and not realize he's naked. Also, while Victor did disturb his sleep the second time, in the instance where they just met. He wanted to have a sleepover with Yuri and learn all of his common interests so they can have a good relationship as coach and pupil, he isn't trying to fuck Yuri. Finally, the reason why Victor came out to Japan was that Yuri had asked Victor while drunk to be his coach, something he would've meant when he was sober because of his love and admiration for Victor. Victor came out to Japan to teach Yuri not only because of his performance and talent that he saw when Yuri did Victor routine but because Victor wanted something new and was done with the monotony of the skating world. He wanted something fresh, and he found that with the challenge of making Yuri a gold medalist. This entire theory makes no sense and just feels like grasping to take a beloved character and make them seem like a bad guy

Just for the record, there's a legal reason why the age of consent in Japan is 13. Sex is a very difficult thing to regulate in a legal sense because it's an action that can be physically performed by people who legally cannot even consent to it. In the US, we have these things commonly called "Romeo and Juliet laws" that basically smear the definitive legal line and ease punishment in such cases where, for example, one member of a sexually active couple reaches 18 while the other is still 17. Japan doesn't have that. If two 12-year-olds in Japan have consensual sex, they can both be brought up on charges of statutory rape. Japan approaches the "Romeo and Juliet laws" from the opposite end. They set the age lower than most people would even actually start having sex and then establish local laws in each prefecture that require minors engaged in sexual activity to be relatively close in age which effectively raises the de-facto age of consent back to 18. So while on paper 13 seems like a young age for consent, it is actually very similar to how the laws are set in the US.

Nearly all prefectures in Japan have a de-facto age of consent of 16-18. Of course he was very bold and that definitely walked on a line in my book, but your argument that his actions have malicious intent is completely contradicted by the fact that Viktor thought he had consent to act in said bold and handsy manner. They were certainly very handsy in those shots we see of the party. Also, as another commenter asked, where does Viktor get creepy with Yurio? He even has him skate the more innocent routine rather than the more raunchy Eros one so I don’t know where you’re seeing that.

The anime made it very clear that they had met, danced, and partied together before Viktor decided to visit. Yuri was also all over him that night. He didn't just show up naked to a stranger. Viktor remembered everything and thought Yuri did too.
Not to forget when Chris appears from behind Yuri and grabs his butt, as they both danced so close and almost naked together! So, Chris does nothing different than Victor does, they have the same understanding of the situation.

And this came out in the open while he was drunk (because he earlier lost due to him being distraught over his childhood pet dog /dying/). He confessed his pure feelings, in front of all his fellow athletes, during an after-party of a figure skating grand pre final gala. So... um, it was seen (and recorded) by not a handful, but a whole bunch of elites, young, old, men, women.... everyone.
Viktor is not someone who lived with his eyes and ears glued to the outside world. He lived in his little bubble of a world, comprising of coach Yakov, daily practice, extra practice, competition dates, venues, travelling, background music tracks, costumes, new programmes, statistics, improved jumps (so-called "quads"), and of course, Makkachin, and several other figure skaters who were often in competitions with him. I heard an even better theory on this. Since the first meeting between Victor and Yuri was at the party, Victor met Yuri when he was drunk and all up on him. He was clingy to him and carefree in his dancing. Victor liked that and saw that as his personality so that was why he was so open to Yuri during his first appearance in Japan. You noticed he was interested in him since he looked at him specifically when Yuri left defeated during the grand prix. He was kind of expecting yuri to say hi so seeing that video some time later of Yuri dancing his score was inspiring since he was losing inspiration and motivation. So basicly Yuri is his muse and he approached him the same way Yuri did at the party- all clingy and such. Also you can think of it as a trope. Since Japan anime see Europeans as totally affection such as kissing everyone of the lips and being blue eyes and such.

Ok so, these few statements completely debunk your argument:
Yuri could've gone to the police any time if he felt he was being sexually harassed. No, no, Yuri liked the attention Victor was giving him. You can make the argument that maybe he was too scared, but no, you actually can't. He blushed every time he was around Victor. Yuri was enthusiastic and pumped whenever Victor was near.
Besides that, the worst thing that Victor's done to even be considered sexual harassment was standing up naked in the hot spring. But you can't even consider that harassment, as Yuri never complained.
That's how you differ between sexual harassment. If someone is consistently BOTHERING someone sexually, then you have sexual harassment. So you probably noticed the key word: BOTHERED. If someone's unbothered by it, it's not sexual harassment, even if it's sexual in nature. You can't harass someone if they don't mind what you're doing, and Yuri definitely didn't mind anything Victor was doing.
So no, Victor would not be going to jail.
Okay, so while I do see the point of your theory, you are forgetting a huge point. When Yuri first met Victor, he literally grinded against him. He flirted, messed around, and even pole danced in front of him. Way later in the story, it is revealed that Yuri doesn't remember any of that, but Victor does. The whole "flashing" him thing isn't that big of a deal considering everything that happened. He's confident, and that's not a bad thing. I can see your point of the rest of your theory, but I think your first point isn't quite valid. I know you put a lot of time and effort into this theory, and it is well done, but I really think you should expand more on that point. Maybe a part 2? Either way, it was still pretty cool to see

The reason Victor acts so handsy is because of Yuri's actions when he was drunk. Yuri acted so seductive which made Victor fall in love with him. In Victor's eyes, Yuri's drunk actions determined the kind of relationship they'd have. Flirty. Victor thought Yuri remembered it all and just responded to his behaviors back then with the same kind of behavior.

But seriously interesting video but I think you missed some important key points in the series. Episodes 4, 5, and 6 have a huge time gap Ep 4 taking place in early May, Ep 5 in late summer, Ep 6 early November so there is a huge gap that leaves us to interpret that at some moment offscreen they already might have been romantically involved as in ep 6 Yuuri doesn't mind when Victor is hugging him in public anymore (when he's not drunk) so it does kinda debunk 4:05 as Yuuri is more uncomfortable with the pressure of failing than Victor's presence.
In Ep 10 Victor could've easily took advantage of a drunk Yuuri but didn't in fact Yuuri was the one who took the first move very boldly and publicly. Victor was quite astonished by his bold nature and wanted to meet him but was more or less heartbroken to know he didn't compete in World's and he picks the song Stammi Vicino Aria to express his longing for a meaningful relationship (hence the aria version) and that's where the viral video made him figure out where Yuuri is and coach him not just to get to know him more but to also make a new legacy.
Victor was only touchy with Yuuri because of both cultural differences and how Victor first perceived Yuuri. It was revealed that in Ep 10 Yuuri didn't remember a single thing to the shock of Victor. Victor had thought Yuuri was this bold, amorous party animal and thought the best way to approach him was to respond to said boldness and in russian culture being touchy is more of a normal thing so Victor was used to this idea. Yuuri, on the other hand immediately rejects his advances and only then does Victor later realize who Yuuri truly is and what I heard was sometime offscreen Victor regrets making advances towards Yuuri for both embarrassing himself and realizing the anxiety Yuuri goes through in his life.
Other than that this seems like a good premise for a dark, angsty fanfic
What I am about to say may not be accurate, this is merely my interpretation with some experiences thrown through it!
Viktor being clingy could be a misunderstanding and he maybe isn't realizing that he is being creepy. This all could have started because of Yuri when he was drunk basically begging him to be his coach, Viktor ofcourse may have created his feelings since that part.
When he saw that video he ofcourse remembers that request Yuri made and actually is willing to give up promises to other people and kind of break friendships.
Since it was a PUBLIC BATH the logic is everyone is naked (as far as I know) yes it is kind of straightforward just to flash to someone is weird but! there is a clash of feelings here. Yuri may not remember what happened that drunk night but Viktor did so he immediatly thinks that they have a connection and treats him as a friend. Yuri is dazzed by all of this suddenly happening at once and has to have time to process this. How would you feel if someone you look up to suddenly came over because of a video and starts talking about stuff that you barely remember? Confused right?
Now I do not have any evidence regarding this but what I am about to say is merely experience and common sense.
The sleeping thing you mentioned, me and my friend do that. (and yes we are both of the same gender) one of us always tends to be very clingy (mostly me) while the other just gets dazzled by it. Now maybe Viktor still hasn't really figured out his feelings for Yuri so until he does he is treating him as a close friend. Yuri is disturbed by it since well personality wise and cultural difference maybe!
The Yurio thing, I do not see how he is manipulating him. Yurio has some anger issues but so does every teen like me, I am well aware that I am hurting and making it hard for my parents but sometimes I have to speak my mind. So what Yurio does is get angry because he made a promise but broke it. So he would get jealous of Yuri a bit to a little hatred towards him but was later resolved. He realizes what he has done and doesn't want to be a burden to anyone so he decided to leave not to hurt them more. This is normal teenage behaviour and I really do not see how Viktor plays a part of Yurio's side. He simple broke a promise which hurted Yurio.
Later on in the anime Viktor starts sorting out his feelings and as wel does Yuri. They both come to a point where they understand each other and sort the rest out together. So they end up being together.
To sum this all up
This whole anime in my interpretation was just a cultural border, mixed emotions, mis translations of feelings, and innocent intentions. Coated by some nice animation

Viktor was under the impression Yuuri remembered the banquet and was just playing coy/shy the entire time.
When you conveniently forget this fact, then of course he’s going to seem like a perverted asshole. He’s a sexual guy, definitely, but far from the extent you put him at.
Still interesting to think about regardless of how little it actually pertains to canon.
(Edit: another good thing to mention about Viktor’s character is that he’s extremely inexperienced when it comes to dealing with his feelings. This behaviour seems like an understandable reaction to him, especially being around characters like Georgi (who is the only other named skater in Viktor’s home rink that’s in his age group), who is over the top in the way he interacts with love interests.)

He says that victor visited yuri for no reason, and then later contradicts himself. Victor is a character that clearly has little social skills, because his coach hated teaching him and he was only ever shown to hang out with his dog (before meeting yuri). Victor was also surprised when yuri couldn't remember what happened last year and victors behaviour towards yuri was based on the idea that yuri could remember being cute to victor and asking him to be his coach. This made victor fall in love with yuri and yuri already was in love with victor. From this point on, i see nothing wrong with it, other than it being a traditional love story

You know at the beginning of the show I thought Victor being extremely Hansi was kind of creepy too. But then the episode 10 happen and dear lord everything started making sense, so in ep 10 we get a flashback when Yuri got super drunk and starting dance battling people in the middle of the banquet and dance in a strip pool with Chris and later dry humped Victor and begged him to be his coach. That's why Victor dropped to everything in his life to go help Yuri, because he wanted to reconnect and that's why he acted overly touchy and flirtatious because he thought that's how Yuri was, and again I rewatch the series and noticed the Victor isn't particularly touchy or flirtatious with many people, he is overly friendly but the only other person who we see him act this way towards is Chris but again it's shown that their best friends and have known each other for a long time and are only a few years apart . great video but just wanted to point that out and I hope you have a great day

I definitly agree that the beginning catalysts that brought Yuri and Victor together are pretty questionable. Especially Yuri's obsession with Victor and Victor at the time being pretty dissatisfied with his Olympic glory. Victor wanted someone to spice up his life and who better a candidate than Yuri (a young and upcoming star who Victor had found attractive at a party). I wish this series would have shown us Victor's inner mindset more instead of over simplifying him at times. There was a deep sadness that he had to bare for a long time (the loneliness, the dissatisfaction of his routines, the pressures of being in the Olympic limelight). Anyways, thanks for sharing your perspective, it really got me thinking haha 😆

Did you not watch episode 10?............Victor knew yurri. After getting rejected on taking picture. In the banquet party or whatever it's called victor noticed yurri. Yurri became drunk. He was super outgoing, confident (which usual yurri is not) and had dance competition with yurrio and Chris. And danced with victor too. At the end drunk yurri ASKED victor to be his coach. After returning to Japan , yurri's recreating of victor's routine went viral. Victor saw it and went to Japan to be yurri's coach.
. And victor was not being CReEpY. In the banquet drunk yurri was the total opposite of real yurri so victor thought he is a outgoing, Confident, flirty guy. And thought he remembers very thing that happened in the banquet party. That's why victor was super flirty and cLiNGy to yurri. But in episode 10 yurri said he doesn't remember anything and victor was shook after knowing that he forgot everything and felt embarrassed for being so flirty with him. Because he thought he remembers everything.

Episode ten shows that Viktuuri had met long before the onsen meet.
However, Yuuri just doesn’t remember it because he was black out drunk. He pole danced for Viktor, took his pants off and practically jumped him and begged him to be his coach.
Viktor was so shocked by this, because no one had ever approached him like that; instantly he felt attraction and curiosity towards Yuuri.
Yuuri was the one in instigated the touchy-feely, flirtatiousness. So Viktor naturally returned it.
So of course, when Viktor saw the video of Yuuri skating to his program, he was once again inspired and reminded of Yuuri’s request to be his coach.
Viktor didn’t know Yuuri was BLACK OUT DRUNK! He didn’t know Yuuri had no recollection of the night at all. Al he knew was that this Japanese skater was enamoured with him and returned what Yuuri gave.
Viktor Nikiforov is absolutely quirky and fun and totally, unimaginably in love with Yuuri Katsuki.

1. You're assuming I wanted this show to be politically correct or something. That is your first mistake. I'm an adult who watched a show that as far as I know is geared towards adults. As such, I don't expect it to teach us right from wrong, because we should already know. This show very much embodies a fantasy that shouldn't come true in real life in the way that it did. I mean, would I want a star I'm into to pursue me and sleep on top of me? Sure, in theory. Would it be a good idea in practice? Probably not. Would I be pushing them away because of this in spite of being into them? Most likely. Might it confuse them? I could imagine.
2. Victor isn't supposed to be read as a stand up guy, I believe. Victor's intention from the get-go was to sleep with Yuri. Which I think is what their "first" meeting is supposed to convey. Being Yuri's coach was just a means to an end. I mean, a means that was more exciting than Victor's career had been recently, but still, a means. Killing two birds with one stone, if you will. I fully believe that had Yuri turned out to be the person Victor initially thought he was, Victor would have slept with him, then left at the latest after the Grand Prix Final. Or more likely long before, given his propensity to "forget" promises.
Yuri even mentions this in a way. Given that this show brings skating as someone's essence being expressed through dance, means Yuri telling us that Victor's skating performance is one of a playboy that loves 'em and leaves 'em, is important. Which I think he did with Chris. Yuri dancing Victor's Eros as the "woman" the playboy loves and leaves instead of as the playboy is Yuri's way of acknowledging his feelings for Victor through dance. But also telling us he expects Victor to leave him. I say acknowledging his feelings, because I truly believe that Yuri was attracted to Victor and arguably even in love with Victor before he ever met him. That doesn't mean that Yuri was comfortable acting on those feelings though. Nor was it okay for Victor to try and push him into acting on those feelings. Having said that, Victor's initial actions are fully directed at drunk Yuri, because that is the version of Yuri Victor was introduced to and because of that his only point of reference. It takes Victor a while to understand that the shy, reserved when sober Yuri isn't a facade Yuri is putting up for Victor to seduce him into dropping.
I think it's a surprise to both Yuri and Victor himself when Victor actually falls in love with Yuri and doesn't want to leave at all. Ever. Something that Victor alludes to I think after the ring exchange when he says something along the lines of not having focused on loving and living in about 20 years. He also talks about Yuri changing people for the better without realizing it. I genuinely believe he considers himself one of those people.
3. On the subject of Yurio.
Yuri and Yurio as a couple would still be illegal whether Yuri pursued him or not, since Yuri is 23 while Yurio is 15 and can't legally consent.
Victor has a way of making people fall in love with him. From Chris, to Yuri, to Yurio.
As mentioned, I genuinely believe Chris and Victor have a history in that respect. I suspect that is also where Chris' association of skating with sex comes from.
Yuri we see Victor aggressively pursuing.
Yurio he initially doesn't really want to be around. He ends up coaching Yurio, not because he wants to, but because he's held to a promise he made years ago. Maybe he thought he could chase Yurio away with his inappropriateness, because it was obvious he wasn't about to choose Yurio over Yuri when coaching and sleeping with Yuri were his goals. I'd even go so far as saying things click in Yurio's head once Yuri dances Eros, conveying a level of emotion that's fully directed at, acknowledged and received by Victor. When Yurio leaves after the Eros vs. Agape competition, he says it's because of Yuri's performance. And it's easy to assume it's just about how good it is. But I think it's much more about the fact that both Yuri and Yurio were battling for Victor's affections through said competition and in that respect, the eros of it all, Yurio lost.
1. Because it was never a competition. Victor had made his choice even before Yurio got there. Even the piece he gave each to dance might have been him setting the tone for what he wanted his relationship with each of them to be. Giving Yurio Agape when he in fact wanted Eros whilst giving Yuri Eros, when Yuri intially wanted Agape.
2. Yurio simply couldn't win. Because of the goals Victor had in mind and given that I do think Yurio had feelings for Victor, Victor couldn't choose Yurio without it amounting to pedophilia. Also evidenced by Yurio's clear jealousy at Yuri and Victor's relationship throughout the show and his promise to Victor to use his win to break them apart, specifically when it came to the rings. Victor though, seems to have used this to his advantage. Basically alluding to the gold ring exchange as the real Grand Prix Final win for him and Yuri and encouraging Yurio to win the actual Final behind Yuri's back to give Yuri an excuse other than loving him to stay with him (Victor).

There is absolutely nothing creepy about Viktors actions when it came to Yuri, they made that blatantly obvious at the end of episode 10. Viktor thought Yuri remembered that evening, that is why he was so flirty and "handsy" with him. But if you really look closer, you can see that Viktor treasures Yuri (and Maccachin) above all else, I mean the man cried when Yuri said "let's end this". And was just as pissed when Yurio said that the ring was garbage. I really think that Viktor fell head over heels in love with Yuri that night at the banquet, and it was the first time that he implicitly and utterly trusted and loved someone. The same goes for Yuri, it wasn't just administration he had for Viktor there were feelings all along. He just didn't know what label to put to it, and he had huge insecurities about himself. Yuri felt he wasn't good enough for someone like Viktor and that someone so famous wouldn't even give him the time of day
Throughout the anime, they showed us how Viktor helped Yuri get over those insecurities and be more confident in himself, basically Viktor taught him to bring out his true "Eros". And Viktor was helped by Yuri, to understand what it means to truly love someone and wanting to fight for that special part you have in your life, in other words Yuri taught Viktor to bring out his true "Agape".
Even Kubou-sensei confirmed that these two can't survive without each other. And that really is not strange behavior that accompanied that fact.
I know this is just your personal opinion, but I truly feel like you missed the deeper meaning they showed throughout the anime.

At least yuuri improved, if Viktor wasn't there for him, today there's no the "Flawless" him. Viktor was just a romantic and wacky guy so just let him be, I know that ep1 his actions weren't that appropriate for the first time he met yuuri but he knew that yuuri was one of his biggest fan and being more than a friend with yuuri although his actions weren't appropriate. This doesn't mean that he should be in jail instantly, he's just a loving guy and support yuuri everytime! If he was emotional, strict and selfless guy towards yuuri, he won't have the motivation to be stunning in every competition. Victor's Behavior is because of that time they first met after the competition. When Yuri was drunk, Victor fell in love with yuri because of his actions. And because of yuri's actions and things he was doing, he thought They were already kinda close and probably in love. Yuri was acting very seductive and flirty. So he started acting like that because he thought he remembered everything from that time.

First off Yuri has liked and admired Victor since he was younger. Secondly Yuri is 24, while Victor is 26, so not that much difference in age. As far as the tone of their relationship, it is cute. Victor and Yuri start off just trying to get to know one another and gradually fall in love. i love this story line, it is sweet and while there are some sexual tones to it, you don't actually see anything bad happen.
Chris creeps me out more that victor plus if you actually watched closely and heard background info from the creator you’d know it’s partly his personality (flirty and whatever else) and yuuri actually liked victor since quite a long time, yuuri is by personality wise, a person who even around people he fells comfortable with can get uncomfortable easily and (like me) who is someone who worries about the smallest things. Victor and yuuri’s personality do crash, yes that’s the reason victor seems so far fetched and creepy to some people but if yuuri didn’t have the personality he does you’d definitely feel differently towards this situation.

yuuri isn't spineless. If he didn't like the interactions he was having with Viktor he would have told him. It seems that you have not taken into consideration episode 10. Either way, Japanese anime is always a bit quirky and in many anime, nakedness isn't something to be shy about between 2 people of the same sex especially when using a public bath. The way Viktor acts towards Yuuri is to show his personality as a very flamboyant and outgoing person. In the anime, Viktor is very handsy because in places like Japan foreigners are often times viewed as people who kiss when greeting and stuff which is why Viktor seems very exaggerated. Anyway no hate towards your video and I actually think your opinion is very creative and interesting, also if anyone reading this thinks I made mistakes with my comment please feel free to correct me^^

Sadly you don’t get it….not only is it one of the best if not *the* best gay romance in anime but Victor first acted that way because Yuri acted that way towards Victor at the party. Victor thought that Yuri was a sexual womanizer (or should I say man-eater lol) and was trying to reciprocate. Yuri stole Victor’s heart by acting that way and Victor tried to do the same, it’s actually really sweet/sexy and kinda sad. All that time Victor thought that Yuri knew about his feelings and that he was reciprocating Yuri’s love only to find out that Yuri forgot about their first “date” and about how he seduced Victor in the first place. Also I think we both know that Victor would have stopped the second Yuri said “no” but he never did. Victor even designed the Eros set for Yuri because Yuri himself was the handsome man who seduced the most beautiful “maiden” in town and then left without a word. For a conspiracy channel (not that a conspiracy channel is even deserving of respect because in most cases it’s not) you really suck at analyzing things.

But here’s an idea for a video. Instead of just physical could there have been verbal and emotional manipulation as well ? We all know yuri has body image issues as well as anxiety and depressive issues. And many times throughout the show viktor always calls him piggy even when it’s clear that yuri doesn’t like it. He even denies him food albeit katsudon which is known for not being the healthiest but still. I think there’s more to viktor being interested in yuri and not all of it being malicious. Also can you cite your sources for viktor being weird with yurio because I don’t recall that happening.
