They've just updated DL2 with guns and it feels pretty good now too. Not as solid as DL1 yet, but it still is a lot better than what we get today from games. They're still updating it, so who knows? For those who haven't played DL1, it has... the zombie apoc atmosphere that feels most realistic. There are overcast days, but also mostly sunny days where it's bright and colorful. In most zombie games they use dark lighting to set the atmosphere, but DL shows that the weather doesn't care if humanity dies, it's still gonna be sunny and bright. That kind of Bright Apocalypse we don't often see in media, and it really enhances DL's feel. It also makes the nights darker, since it's such a contrast.
Considering that the virus is a mutated strain of rabies, they still hold some term of consciousness or awareness or either some traits of who they used to be

In the second game you can find an alien chicken that makes you get an item for you. In return it gives you a throwing pan that you need to craft that returns to the player 😂
I love the original Dying Light, such a gem. sad Dying light 2 turned out how it did but it is what it is. Also i alerted the volatile nest the first time and second time i played through the game and was shtting bricks..... never knew you could just not alrert it lol.
