My husband is rocking the mustache and I love it so much. I’ve gotten some great tips from Beardbrand videos. I trim and style it for him and I love doing it.
3:17 I believe I mentioned this a long time ago, but if you had trimmed the stache just a little bit (just a little bit) That style would have been among of your greatest indeed.
I use to have a mustache when I was in my late teens and early twenties, before going to a full beard. And I have to say I got some very nice compliments.
Rockin that beard stache, Yo! I’ve had a scruffy beard for a long time now. I decided to participate in Movember and I’ve been growing the stache ever since. I have a slightly rounder oval face, so I’ve found that the beard stache is a better look for me. Gives more definition to my face. Planning to grow my first full beard this year.
Been a moustache guy for a few years now, and recently got my first "baby mullet". I was apprehensive about it at first because of all the negative connotations around the word "mullet" but oh man, I'm loving it.
Been rocking a big mustache for a year. I was going to do the 90 day challenge. Well, 90 days came and went and I did not like what I saw. Except, for the mustache. So, I kept it. For about the past two and a half months I have been rocking the beardstache. Coincidentally, I actually got the inspiration from Carlos and you, Eric... And I lOVE Four Vices mustache wax. Wish you made a cologne in that scent.
Doing a great job with the new channel. I can tell you’ve gotten very comfortable on camera over the years. Personality shines and it’s extremely engaging. Thanks for the content and all the tips.
Hey Eric I went threw a lot of different facial hair transformations, and I finally decided to settle on the stach. I love it , and more importantly my girlfriend loves it.
About 3 months ago i decided to go on the Bearded/Mustache journey because i caught a glimpse of a few videos by BeardBrand and the big Berzinsky, and well I was inspired. And ill tell ya i didn't think i could do it. But you guys really proved that wrong. I had thin cheeks, And really every excuse under the sun not to grow, But ive been pushing through it with the mustache and beard now thanks to you guys and the right products to keep up the confidence during every phase of beard and mustache growth.
The mustache was really only big in the 70's, as in the "70's porn stache", though it was still around in the the 80's, as in "80's cop stache", but the 90's were pretty much stache-less.
I used to sport a beard since the mid 2010’s, but in November I figured I’d give the mustache a shot because I was starting to get tired and bored with the full beard.. 2 month later, I’m rocking a Chevron(Tom Selleck/Burt Reynolds style) and I love it! Have gotten many compliments from both men and women. So I definitely think the stache is coming back in the 2020’s! And I agree with you, I love the beard but sometimes you got to spice it up and try a new look. Keep on rocking the stache!
Definitely been concentrating on my mustache since starting in November. This is my fourth time growing it, so I'm starting to know what I need to do: First, it's important to know YOUR mustache possibilities and find an example, or several, of what YOUR mustache could be (plenty of old boxing and military photos from the early 20th century for me). I trim individual hairs that do not seem to be growing in the direction of the mustache about every 3-4 weeks, just a very small trim to cut out the curl (we're talking centimeters). My beard comes in wiry and shaping is just difficult without some trimming. Blow dryer on low heat, good wax (Layrite cement or heavier wax at first), brushing (or combing) in the from under the nose in direction I want it to grow out of the way of the mouth, and cool air to finish. BE PATIENT, IT WILL TAKE 9-11 MONTHS FOR THE PHILTRUM HAIRS TO REACH THE CORNERS OF THE MOUTH, THAT'S WHEN IT STABILIZES. Once a week I put coconut oil in my beard, mustache, and hair overnight. Once a week I wash with Grandpa's Pine Tar Soap, spray with 10/90 apple cider vinegar, and put in leave in conditioner. Once a week I try to leave it alone and not put any wax in it. This is not as complicated or expensive as it sounds, a small routine that saves hours of pain in misery of shaping and keeping a larger mustache. Of course daily use of oil or balm, but just a dot, lots of guys are going crazy with the oil. Start eating with a knife and fork, buy cups with small drink holes. This helps during the inbetween phase when the mustache can get into the mouth, and it can help lose weight. Hope this helps some of you, good luck!
Mustaches are coming back! The reason I like them is because of the show Narcos. They have some amazing mustaches that are inspiring lol. I can grow a beard, but sadly my mustache is too thin.
I recently went from a full beard to a beardstache. It ain't a bad look. It has the machismo of facial hair yet makes you look like you step outside your cave every once in a while. At the same time it is extremely unique. Most guys have stubble or a short beard these days. You can't really stand out the way you could a decade or so ago. With a mustache or beardstache though you're going to be turning heads.
I wear a hybrid hybrid beard .A goatestache .Short on the chin and a retro looking mustache .I have blonde facial hair and I can't even grow a patchy beard(cheek area) but I liked the beardstache so I made my "own" version of it .I am 20 btw so only time will tell
Haha, I guess great minds think alike. That was my style for quite awhile (3mm on the chin and longer chevron-like moustache connected to the chin hair). Although I wear a stubble at most times - I like to go back to the goateestache from time to time.
Totally! Watched Gangs of New York (currently on NF) a few weeks back. Loved DDL’s stash and hair in that movie. GB def has similar vibe in those pics.
Dude, that's the most honest talk about mustaches that i've ever heard! That's exactly my opinion about the mustache! Anyways, you rock whatever you like and that's that haters! Cheers!
Grew my handlebar in 2013, it has been there since. But now i also have a 8 month beard. I will eventually change my style to a long fu manchu/horseshoe (similar to Sean Raiger). I like the beard but im definitely a stache guy... waiting for the cold to clear out lol
Personally, I think a stash all by itself is hard for most guys to pull off. For me, the power beard helps to support my stash. My stash is definitely the best part of my beard. My beard has more imperfections when compared to my stash. Anyway, another great vid. 👍
Love the STACHE, Eric. I am currently Rockin the Corporate Beard, which is the Best Look for Me. Looking Forward to Future Updates and Always Keep Growing 🤓👍❤️
I had a beardstache for a couple of weeks really liked it but for no reason I didn't shave and growed a beard back haha. I was thinking to ga back to the beardstache and this video convinced me to do it😁
had my handlebar stache along with a short beard since september and i'm really liking it. got great compliments from friends and workers. never shaving it off. btw happy new years!
I recently went from a full beard to a beardstache. Just a couple days before you lost your full beard.
Love these videos and I just realized who you sound like! You sound like John C Reilly! You could be a voiceover for that guy. Thanks for all your awesome content!
Probably the wrong video for this question, but here it goes, Is there such thing as a good looking beard without the moustache? I’ve been growing my facial hair out since Christmas and can’t stand the look of my moustache, the main reason being the scar under my nose leaves a big ol’ gap that ruins the polished look I’m going for.
your mustache grows fast. I usually grow it w goatee for 2 -3 weeks then grow full beard....(except this last time). And I know, you want to look like John HOLMES....
Some facial hair, regardless of the style, brings out your cheekbones more and most guys in general look better with some facial hair because it brings out their cheekbones.
how about a yearstache? 2020 is coming up in a day so you would have a perfect countdown from there. shave it off for a final time and see how long it will be in a year, no trim, no shave. would be really cool to see.
I being growing my mustache for about a month now I kinda like it its medium size my hairs passes my lips but hopefully it grows more by the end of October so I can start doing handle bars walrus stache perhaps a goatee.
I can only grow a mustache and a goatee so I'm gonna rock a mustache as well as I can. Lol I've gotten tons of compliments recently which is cool. I can't wait until mine is huge lol first time growing it out very long
The short stache ain’t bad on u bud. Reminds me of goose from top gun😂. Currently keeping the sides of my beard short and tight to my face with a longer goatee area. Cut my handle bar down to more of a chevron and love it and for the record, your mullet was legit. Cheers and Godspeed.
Just shaved the handlebars off ...7yrs strong..it's on passport pic and all..now it's time for regrowth and training. Sometimes more aggravation than what it's worth, but if you want it...wax your whiskers!
There are very few guys who can truly pull off a solo mustache or even a stache with stubble. Mustaches definitely don't work for weak chins and turkey necks.
Mustache is the most important aspect of facial hair even outshining the beard part. But the saddest part is that I'm pretty weak on growing a bushy mustache.
Dude, you look just like Richard Masur!!! Honestly though, I think a stache only looks good if you have a straight upper lip. Rounder mouths looks funny!!
Mustaches are coming back in a big way, from my understanding the bigger and bushier the better, 5 guys that i work with are currently having a mustache growing contest for 1 year ! they are calling it a stash yeard 👍 my self, i like my full beard and mustache.... Edited because of typo.
I think if guys rock the Chevron, it's not so much by choice, as by genetic limitation imo. Not everyone can rock a huge stache like you Eric, although that's my goal now. Since they say it takes 6 months to grow, I'll wait until June. Also, if you have a double chin, mustache is not a great look IMO. It's why I have a beard 😂...I do think the trend will move away from 'hipster beards' to more shorter styles though. We will see what the new decade has in store. Happy 2020 all.
Alexander C I like the Chevron. The problem is it has this relationship with being a “porn stache”. I have to have a van dyke for this reason. The wife doesn’t want an 80s pornstar. LOL
I have a mustache and if someone say something bad about it I say “ oh where is your mustache, oh you don’t have one. Don’t talk about mine if you have one”
I agree with your view on the Pedophile mustache joke people make, I had a killer mustache and I let jokes like that make me feel insecure while rocking a look that I chose for myself. Next time I have a mustache I will not let that joke slide!
I grew my mustache in 1976 and have never shaved it off, I did trim it but it has never left my face.
It can only rot off it seems
My husband is rocking the mustache and I love it so much. I’ve gotten some great tips from Beardbrand videos. I trim and style it for him and I love doing it.
I've been cutting my own hair an beard for years , trying to teach my wife to help me out some
Not going so well😳
Wow...🙌🖤
Keeper.
You have no idea how are you are. My wife absolutely hates mine haha
3:17 I believe I mentioned this a long time ago, but if you had trimmed the stache just a little bit (just a little bit) That style would have been among of your greatest indeed.
My mustache is my proudest part of my beard! Ron Swanson #goals. My first time seeing those pictures of Greg and his stache, that is awesome!
I think Greg is an alien LOL!
👽🛸

What is a power-beard?
@Bald DeGea it is essentially a a 6 month beard
Your beardstach was glorious I loved it you looked great!
I didn't know the owner of beardbrand was Fozzy Bear.

Why?
I can’t grow facial hair above my lip and i hate it because I can’t grow a beard without a mustache
Sure you can! Google 'beard without a mustache.' A bunch of guys look very cool with just the beard.
I'd like to see you grow back to the seventh month length us take the journey with you... 👍🏼
