As a delivery driver myself, I never liked parking on the side of busy roads while making deliveries, the fact that your mirror got hit like that is what I've always feared the most, and having people honk at you like they've never heard of the company before or some shit, and it fucking sucks to have to park to the side of a busy road like that of your experience in this video.
yes i agree, taking extra caution on busy streets. About 2 months ago i got in a car accident with this lady that simply didnt care of the stop sign, and hit me on the side of my van. Obviously she was at fault.
One thing with the CDV van seat is too low I think it fit better for short people I am tall I drive it and my back hurts seat too low but it has a lot of room like the step van that why I like the step van
Exact same thing i said before joining LOL. As soon as that 2 month hit i wanted to leave. Downtown routes, 450 packages daily, 90 degree humid weather with no A/C. 10 degree winters, breaking your back just to make management happy, getting chased by dogs. Delivering to the same houses everyday. A daily routine that eventually gets to you and makes you want to start looking for another job as soon as possible. Dont get me wrong theres a handful of ways to make it sort of fun but its not a job i see myself lasting more than a year.
@@chiipzz7041 i have been working in lawn maintenance for years and one thing I absolutely hate is the dogs chasing you I actually got bit once. And the toasting sun, i can take hot and humid but not direct sunlight, thats why I applied at the warehouse lol, no dogs, no sun so, no driving all day, if I absolutely hate it i will apply with a dsp, like you said i only need it for about a years while i save for something
I'm 2 months in, and already found something else. It was my dream job delivering or driving for work. But too many stops for not enough pay. And the faster I worked the more packages they give you. Then when you slow down they ask why are you struggling? No help on how to organize packages or edit routes, they just hire you and throw you out there. Plus they had me stuck on part-time so the money was short. I think it's a good job if your fresh put high-school or something but not for a grown ass man with a house and bills to pay lol.speaking From Los Angeles CA.
@@Gardena420 don’t get me wrong but I live in Northern California full time if you put hours and not rush yourself you can make decent checks and I have few coworkers that just do it for extra cash or main jobs and they have families to support. I currently work 4 days because I’m in school but also have to make money to pay bills I make around 900 per week when I work 5 days I easily make 1100 per week
yup, all i can say is that starter is still holding up quite well. If i was delivering in the Suburbs maybe not but city is more populated, more activity, more crime.
Vans are dumb af lol, however working at express I deliver to Rivan and I see how they develop amazons soon to be or already in play all electric step vans.. lowkey jealous. Also your mind is completely distracted in this video I’m guessing cause of the mirror, can’t focus and keep forgetting stuff lol happens to me at times.
I seen one or two of this vans in the warehouse I work probably only see it ones in action. Man I hate delivering main streets people won’t pay attention there surrounding I deliver in Berkeley ca area also Marin county and Sonoma ca which I was not big fan because Sonoma was spread route
